Companions Of The Prophet ( Sahaba) In Karbala

Amongst the companions of Hussain there are some who are said to be "sahaba of Rasolallah" the names I have regularly heard ( growing up in majalis) were

Muslim b Ausaja

Habib b Mazahir

Are there any more ?

Are they really companions of the Prophets ? the sources I have access to are all unfortunately sunni I didnt even find there mention anywhere ! maybe I missed them.I was wondering if some of the knowledgable members here can verify if Habib and Muslim were indeed Sahaba.

One I found was "muslim b abi awsaja" but there is no mention of karbala in that source ( ibn Athir) but that could be because biographies miss such details.Not sure if he is the same person or another sahabi and it would be also interesting to see if either Habib or Muslim are participants in Jamal/siffin.

only one i found who was in karbala is Anas b Harith

( mentioned as a sahabi in sunni texts and fell in karbala verified in 2 sources ) and I never heard about him in karbala majalis

One really famous one who was blinded by the time of Karbala but still came to the ziara of the grave of Imam Hussain (as), and lived till the time of 6th Imam.

Hazrat Jaber Ibn Abdullah Ansari (ra).

A lots of Hadith, ziarat, and various conversation with him and Aimah (as) recorded in the books.

Habiba (ra) was another sahabia who had lived from the time of Prophet (pbuh) till the time of 8th Imam Redha (as). She was famous for her intellectual discussions with Aimah (as) and refuting the Nasibis and supporters of Umer throughout her life. She was also one of those sahabia who was present in Kufa when the family of Prophet (pbuh) was brought as captives after the sad event of Karbala. She had a small conversation recorded in history between her and Syeda Zainab (as). She was also well known for collecting eight rocks, each stamped by an Imam of Ahlulbayt with their rings, when she went to see them to verify if they were indeed the successor of the Imam before them.

There's also Ibn Abbas (ra) who was blinded by then as well.

From what I read, Ans Ibn Harith Al Asadi, and Burayr Ibn Khodayr Al Hamadani were also companions, and really old men at that.

here is a list i found, I dont know if it is correct or not, but may i ask, whats the purpose of your question? I know 100% there were prophets companions in the battle, but think about it, many of them were in their 80's 90's or hurt and sick from other battles....

how do you know "100%" what sources are u relying on ?

purpose of question is purely academic so dont turn it into anything

yes i know most companions of prophet were very old thats true, but who actually were sahaba

the list u mentioned quotes none of the biographical dictionaries of sahaba

عدد الصحابة في جيش الامام الحسين (ع) يوم الطف

لقد كان في جيش الامام (ع) عدا الامام الحسين (ع) جملة من صحابة رسول اللّه (ص)، سواء ممّن صحبه وروى عنه ، او ممّن ادركه ورآه. 444

وفي هذه الجملة من اصحابه من لم يُناقش مورّخ او رجاليُّ فيصحبته (فهو متّفق عليه) ، وفيهم من نوقش في انّه كان صحابياً ام لا ، وفيهم من شُكّ في كونه هو ذلك الصحابيّ المقصود لتشابها لاسم بينه وبين آخر معروف بالصحبة ، وعند عرضنا لاسمائهم المباركة سنشير إلى المختلف فيهم وإ لى سبب الاختلاف، وهذه المجموعة المباركة من الصحابة الكرام والا نصار العظام هي

انس بن الحارث الكاهلي الاسدي (رض): وهو ممّن روى عنرسول اللّه (ص) حديثه : (إ نّ إ بني هذا يعني الحسين يُقتل بارض يُقال لها كربلاء، فمن شهد ذلك منكم فلينصره). 445

عبدالرحمن بن عبد ربّ الا نصاري الخزرجي (رض): وهو ممن شهد حينما استشهد الامام عليّ (ع) الناس في الرحبة انه سمع رسول اللّه (ص) يقول : (ألا إ نّ اللّه عزّ وجلّ ولييّ، وانا وليُّ المؤمنين ، الا فمن كنت مولاه فعليُّ مولاه ، اللّهمّ والِ من والاه ، وعادِ من عاداه ، واحبّ من احبّه ،وابغض من ابغضه ، واَعِنْ من اعانه). 446

3حبيب بن مظاهر (مظهّر) الاسدي (رض): كان صحابياً راى النبي (ص). 44

عبداللّه بن يقطر الحميري (رض): كان صحابياً، لانه كان لدة الحسين (ع) (في مثل عمره)، وكان ابن حاضنة الحسين (ع)، فهو قد ادرك النبيّ (ص) ورآه. 448

مسلم بن عوسجة الا سدي (رض): كان صحابياً راى النبيّ (ص). 449

كنانة بن عتيق التغلبي (رض): شهد موقعة احدٍ مع ابيه عتيق ،وكان فارس رسول اللّه (ص). 450

عمّار بن ابي سلامة الدالاني الهمداني (رض): كان صحابياً له رؤ ية اي انّه (رض ) قد ادرك النبيّ (ص) ورآه. 451

الحرث بن نبهان (رض) مولى حمزة (ع): كان والده نبهان (ره) عبداً لحمزة بن عبدالمطلب ، وقد مات والده بعد شهادة حمزة بسنتين ،وهذا يعني ّالحرث قد ادرك زمان النبيّ(ص)، وبما انّ الحرث قد ترعرع ونشاء في كنف اميرالمؤ منين عليّ (ع ) فلابدّ اءن يكون قد راى رسول اللّه (ص) عن قرب مراراً كثيرة. 452

وهناك إ ثنان من الا نصار(ع) ذُكر انّهما ادركا زمن النبي (ص) ، ولميُعلم اءنّهما هل لقياه فراءياه اءم لا؟ وهما

زياد بن عريب الهمداني الصائدي (رض): و هو اءبوعمرة ، كان ابوه عريب صحابياً ذكره جملة من اءهل الطبقات ، واءبوعمرة ولده هذاله إ دراك. 453

عمرو بن ضبعة الضبعي التميمي (رض): نقل الزنجاني قائلاً: وقال العسقلاني في الا صابة : هو عمرو بنضبعة بن قيس بن ثعلبة الضبعي التميمي ، له ذكر في المغازي والحروب ، وكان فارساً شجاعاً له إ دراك. 454

شكّل اصحاب اءميرالمؤ منين عليّ(ع ) عدداً كبيراً من اءنصار الا مام الحسين (ع ) يوم عاشوراء، فهم عدا من مرَّ ذكره من صحابة الرسول (ص )، وعدا الهاشميين منهم ، وعدا من لم يصرّح المؤ رّخونب صحبته لعليّ(ع )،(487) وعدا من ظلم التاريخ سيرته،(488) قد بلغ عددهم على اقلّ التقادير وعلى حدّ اليقين عشرينرجلاً، وهم :
