Salaam Alaykum

The saudi regime is once again planning to destroy islamic heritage. Their target this time includes the green dome above the holy grave of the Holy Prophet (saww), his prayer niche, his mimbar and masjid-e-ghamama among others.

I will post an article from the Independent which has more details in my post below.

The troubling issue is that many muslims are not aware about this. And those who eventually get aware usually dont raise their voices against it..

Take a look at

Well it certainly is wont be the first time... during the Iraq-Kuwait issues while the media was focused on Saddam's invasion the saudis successfully demolished the Prophet Muhammad's house in Makkah and rebuilt a large tower in its place - you cant miss a large clock near the Kabah itself.

Interesting... (from The Independent)

''Most of the expansion of Masjid an-Nabawi will take place to the west of the existing mosque, which holds the tombs of Islam’s founder and two of his closest companions, Abu Bakr and Umar.''

I think sunnis dont have to worry about shias digging up the graves of umar and abu bakr, now that the saudis are bulldozing it.
