hi everyone,

i have a question that why do people worship a certain landmark like we can take the example of saudi arabia and iran we all know that there are sacred places there, we should worship those sacred places why do people worship the whole nation or the country, even if the govt of the country is doing things against human rights or religious rights.

You should not use the word "sacred" because that is derived from 'sacrement' -- which Islam does not have !

We have the Qibla and the Hajj. That is it. A geographical positioning.

I know there are tombs for the Imams and such, but only the kufr go to these places like they were somekind of "haunted house".

If I visit one of these tombs it is because I am in the area and stop as a rememberance. These are not a kufr-Lourdes where you go to find miracles and magic ---like hezshatan does--- even though some corrupted nafseen do this kind of thing and call it "islamic". Remember that the Feality Tree was cut down because people back then were starting to do this stuff.

So what has been revealed to us? That the rememberance of Allah(swt) is the best thing in life. And that Allah(swt) is witness to all things. And a revealed question is: is not the decision of Allah(swt) good enough for you?

Perhaps you can give a clearer example of how you have noticed this. I think people have respect for the fact that this was the particular area where our loved prophets, imams or saints once lived or are now buried, it's a sentimental thing which certainly doesn't validate the countries political agendas or lack of ethics. We constantly criticise countries like Saudi in-spite of it housing the Kaaba and Iran being a shia country receives its fair share of criticism even from Shias.

However I have noticed when some people meet individuals from countries of historical religious significance, they seem to offer an instant respect to that person solely for having roots to 'holy land' I find that strange

Thanks for the reply ....... saudia is housing the kaaba but what have they been doing with Janat Al-Bakeeh? Its all just good business good tourism. And all the marjaas in iran are giving fatwas against basic islamic rules yet still people worship these marjaas.

Assalum Aleykum,

Even forests these days have become 'national treasures', so what the hell are you talking about? Everything is worshipped as though Allah (s.w.t.) is Manifest at all times. The fact is that most of the time we are searching for him and in this damned world full of [Edited Out] and filth. The worst thing is when someone forgets to look in the mirror and see who they have become, the best thing is when someone looks in the mirror and finally see's achievement in their own eyes and reflection. Some look at themselves and worship, some look at themselves and hide, some look at themselves and open up, some look at themselves and work on themselves first. Those who ignore who they are and live life striving for lost goals is like a person who always uses examples and says 'like'. (for example, rap artists or singers), 'like a star in the sky', etc. as opposed to the self-aware, who say, 'The star in the sky should be the twinkle in my eye'. Hahaha.

I learned something very special that I want to share, it is easy to make and build and invent and 'progress'.

It is so painful to throw away, dispose, degrade, and 'regress'.

Everything does not start with reality, the world is this freaking illusive.

[Do not ask a question, make a comment, or suggestion. Just write something with the expression of your inner self in all forms and you will find a gem. Then throw it at a vulture and watch it decompose. After that, take a hose and spray it weakly so it speeds up the process and when it finally stinks so bad that you cannot stand it. Take a dump next to it and wipe your ass with a leaf. This is an example of a 'landmark'.] - Mr. Ant.

(I apologize for the vivid depiction of my expression of a landmark.)
