Why The Strictness Against Fellow Shias?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I don't think any Sunni would dare walk into a chatroom FULL of Shias, because he'd just get bullied real badly. (clearly exaggerating, but you get the idea)

So why aren't we allowed to voice our La'anat against the big three and two "fav" wives? I can settle for a reasonable explanation, so lay it out for me please...

Why do you want to do it anyway?

And I disagree with you. If anyone 'bully's" any Sunni's that just shows their ignorant and low character. Why wouldn't they want to go to the forum? You do know they are human as well and perhaps might want to have a chat. They can be our friends . . .

I said it was a mere exaggeration (Read what I wrote in parentheses). Bullying anyone is bad, no argument there.

But the point I'm trying to make here is that this doesn't feel like SHIAchat if we are limiting what we can say to each other as Shias, especially in a closed circle like the Chatroom...

I still disagree. If you feel that it makes you less of a Shia because you can't spend every moment discussing certain individuals Sunnis hold in high regard than you may have a few issues. Brother your argument is baseless. Why do you feel the need that everyone on the ChatRoom can see you sent la'na on someone when you could do it yourself and no one would know?

Why do the people have to know? Is it too hard to say it without others knowing you said/did it (send la'na).

Sorry if I am comming across harsh but you are not limited in anyway shape or form (in regards to your issue) no one is stoping you sending la'na from the comfort of your own home.

Btw, just to point out... The ShiaChatRoom rules do not say you can't send la'na.... It says no cursing. La'na is different...

its not my intention to be rude when i say this, but the whole cursing ban is a good thing, because people arent doing lanat; theyre just being stupid. theres a difference between tabarra and ignorance, which people clearly dont understand. in the process of "doing tabarra," people say very nasty things about certain personalities, and cross the line. islam stresses good akhlaq in everything, and this includes lanat. theres a way to do everything. the way to do lanat does not involve swearing and screaming at the top of your lungs [or in caps lock] repeatedly, and running around in BULB sweaters.

and anyway, why even mention people you dont like? leave them be, theyre all dead anyway and with Allah SWT. think about happy things, its ramadhan man ^_^

There's a difference between sending Lanat and using curse words. If you look through my posts on here, I send lanat all the time and have never gotten in trouble for it. But I don't use curse words (like calling Aisha (la) a "promiscuous woman"). That's the difference.

I am talking about this kind of Tabarra... I disagree with using curse/swearwords even against these 5 apostates.

I think if they let cursing of the special three and "favorite wife" run rampant on this site it would attract a certain crowd (ahem ahem hak char yaar trolls)...they would flock here like the sarsour.

Even in real life, a component of worship that is supposed to be Tabarra, i.e., disliking the enemies of Allah, gets profane and gross very quickly during big gatherings of supposedly educated "Muslims" and "Shias of Ali". It's quite disillusioning. On internet its bound to get a HELL lot worse. No one would like such a thing. Especially when it comes to the wives of our holy Prophet (pbuh) or of Umar's secret. Dislike is in the heart and cursing quietly or loudly makes no difference. It is such follies that our enemies easily use and turn against us. And since they are precisely the "Jamaat" that Ahl-us-Sunnah wa al-"Jamaat" refers to, we are also to heed the command that we do not badmouth someone's false god or they will badmouth your true God in return. So I believe SC has made a very wise choice by disallowing cursing the three and the two. You are, however, free to curse Yazid or Muawiya (most probably within ethical limits though).
