S/a, Is character animation and 3d modeling is forbidden in islam ? I have gone through sistani.org and didn't found anything spesific. however it was mentioned that painting of living being is permissible and sclupture is forbidden.

The question is the work which involves just computer and paper for telivision is permissible ?

Thanks brothers.

I would suspect they would say it's ok since even though it has the illusion of being in three dimensions/embodied, it really is still just two dimensional and more like a painting than a sculpture (except rather than a single painting it's a series of them in fast motion). But, suspicion isn't the same as knowing, so if you really want to know their answer I'd suggest asking them.

I would suggest you ask on najaf.org. They reply much faster than Sistani.org and it's the website of the wakeel of Ayatollah Seestani anyway so the answer is just as good as that from sistani.org. Sistani.org on the other hand, have LOADS of question so they can take as much as 2-3 weeks to answer.

Has Sistani.org replied to one of your emails? If so how long did it take?

Yeah, they did but like I have said, took anything from two weeks to a whole month, maybe even more. I've only sent them question twice so I don't remember exactly but it did take more than two weeks for sure. That's why I suggested najaf.org who usually reply in a day.
