"He who does not forgive, but loves

Endlessly."

I dont get it, who you talking about? What kind of messed up guy doesn't forgive someone he loves?

This is interesting to me. Who was it that said 'As soon as you label me, you negate me' ? or something similar.

Explain yourself please

I'd rather not. No offence or anything - but explaining is not going to do the poem and it's meaning justice. Because if I do, it dulls it down completely and I won't be able to explain it to you the way you wish to understand it, or should understand it. If you have interpreted it that way you have, so be it.

That's a shame because usually opening up the inner meaning of poetry reveals its true beauty. I would have preferred this:

He who needs not forgive, for He loves endlessly,

i.e. .it is his love itself that does away with my sins

It was beautiful nonetheless. I would have 'liked' it if I could

thanks

"the beloved knows naught about love" the lover says

"for the petals may know the fragrance but not the gaze"

That would be such travesty of justice!

"He who does not forgive, but loves

Endlessly."

he who doesn't forgive but because of his love makes your suffering his own.

Well my friend, the problem is, a lover knows nothing but love and there is no place for being unforgiving in the realm of love. I don't understand what would be a travesty of justice? The only way I could understand the above verse is that one who loves and is unforgiving is only giving the illusion of being unforgiving so it arouses the feeling of distance and in distance there is love, only more severe.

I'll stop my comments here, I dont want to ruin her beautiful post.

its beautiful and it should be just left alone

Nothing wrong with other people's comments. It is a public forum after all. In the end, it comes down to whether or not they understand it, and if they don't - khair. Tis all good :)
