(bismillah)

Last guy is just "someone" that was mentioned, so majhool - some would still consider it a qawwi chain. I don't find the content strange or problematic. Accepting the narration is okay, I believe.

You don't find the following strange?

I (narrator) asked what is meant by "Allah".

Imam (as) said: 'Alif' stands for the Blessing (Nemat) of our Wilayat on Gods creations. 'Laam' stands for the obligation of our Wilayat on Gods creations. And 'Hey' stands for disgrace for those who oppose Muhammad (saww) and the progeny of Muhammad (as).”

It's in the context of the bismillah. I'm not going to say this is the meaning. As the ayaat and kalimaat of the Qur'an have many meanings - especially if you consider the batini ones, and these deep layered meanings don't contradict. Interpret it in a non-ghuluw way, Saduq narrates it, chain isn't completely horrid. Accepting it or doing tawaqquf either way don't make a difference practically speaking. It's a possibility they [as] said this, so leave it open.

Salam.

Would really appreciate if new threads could be started for discussions.

I have started this specific topic for posting updates from my collection.

Quran - 34:28

"We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not." [34:28]

(Quoting only a part of a lengthy narration)

I (narrator) asked, "May I sacrifise myself for you. Can the Imam (as) see everything from the East to the West?"

Imam Sadiq (as) said, "O Son of Bukayr, How can he be the decisive Proof of Allah (swt) over the entire earth without seeing and ruling over everyone? And how can he be the Decisive Proof over people who are not in his presence, who cannot reach him and over whom he has no power? How can he convey the message of Allah and act as Allah's witness over the creation if he cannot see them? How can he be the Decisive Proof on the people if he is hidden from them? while he has been appointed as the medium between the slaves and Allah (swt) so that he carries out the orders of his Lord to them?

And Allah (swt) says, "We have not sent you but to all manking" [34:28]. This verse refers to everything on earth. The Decisive Proof after the Messenger of Allah (swt) fills the post of the Messenger of Allah (swt) after him. He is the judge in that which the nation disagrees about, the one who gives the people their rights, the one who carries out the orders of Allah, and He is the one who justly rules between the people.

Chapter: 2, Verse: 143 - Imam's (as) witness over the people

"Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves." [2:143]

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhammad ibn abu ‘Umayr from ibn ’Udhayna from Burayd al-‘Ijli who has said the following.

"I asked (Imam) abu Ja'far (as) about the meaning of the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High,

‘We have made you (true Muslims) a moderate nation so that you would be (witness) an example for all people and the Prophet (a witness) an example for you . . .." [2:143]

The Imam (as) said, "We are the moderate nation and we are the witness for Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, over the activities of His creatures and possess His authority on earth."

I then asked about the meaning of the following verse of the Holy Quran that says,

"Believers, worship your Lord, bow down and prostrate yourselves before Him and do virtuous deeds so that perhaps you will have everlasting happiness. Strive steadfastly for the cause of Allah. He has chosen you. ." [22:77-78]

The Imam (as) said, "It refers to us and we are the chosen ones. Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has not sanctioned anything in religion that would be a constraint up on the people. Al-Haraj (hardships) is more serious than al-Diq (constraint.) " . . .But has not imposed on you hardship in your religion, the noble religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you Muslims before and in this Book, so that the Messenger will witness (your actions) and you will be the witness over mankind." [22:78]

The Imam (as) said, " ‘Your father’ also is a reference to us. Allah has called us specially as Muslims in the heavenly books that were revealed before and in this Holy Book (the Holy Quran) The Holy Prophet (as) has testified in our favor by conveying the message of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High. We bear witness to the activities of the people and on the Day of Judgment certify the faith of those who have acknowledged our Divine authority and reject those who have rejected our Divine authority."

Imam's (as) seeing heavens and the earth

Chapter: 6, Verse: 75

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ "So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude." [6:75]

Narrated to me Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Hajjal, from Salabah, from Abd Al-Rahman from Aba Jafar (as) regarding this verse:

“So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.” [6:75]

He (as) said, “The earth was opened for him [ibraheem (as)] until he saw it and saw what was in it and was opened for him the sky until he saw it and what was in it and saw the Angel who was carrying it and saw the throne (Arsh) and what was on it and the same is for your Master [imam (as)].”

Chapter: 3Verse: 42

"Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations." [3:42]

With the previous chanin of narrators: Ahmed bin Ziyad bin Jaafar Al-Hamdani, from Ali bin Ibrahim bin Hashim. from Jaafar bin Salmah. from Ibrahim bin Mohammad Al-Thaqafi. from Ibrahim bin Musa. from Abu Qotadah Al-Harrani. from Abdul Rahman bin Ala Al.Hazrami. from Saeed bin Musayeb. from Ibnh Abbas, who said:

The Messenger of Allaht (saww) was with Ali, Fatema, Hasan, and Husain (as) one day when he said:

O Allah! You know that they are my family and they are the most honourable people in my eyes. O Allah! Love those who love them, and hate those who hate them. Befriend their friends, antagonize those who antagonize them, and support those who support them. O Allah! Purify them from any uncleanliness; make them infallible and support them with the Holy Spirit.

Then the Prophet (saww): said:

O Ali! You are the Imam of my nation, you are my caliph on my nation after me, and you will lead the believers to Paradise.

It is as if l can see my daughter, Fatema, on the Day of Judgement. She will be brought on a platform made of light. There will be seventy thousand angels to her right, seventy thousand angels to her left, seventy thousand angels in front of her, and seventy thousand angels behind her, and she will be leading the (female) believers of my nation to Paradise.

Every woman who prays live times a day, fasts in the month of Ramadhan, goes to Elajj, pays Zakaat, obeys her husband, and accepts the Wilayat of Ali after me will enter Paradise with the intercession of my daughter.

Fatema is the Master of All of the Worlds' Women. People asked, "Is she the master of the women of her time?"

The Prophet (saww) replied replied: "Maryam was the master of the women of her time. My daughter, fatema, is the Master of All of the World's Women from the first to the last. Every time she stands in her mihrab for prayers, seventy thousand high-ranked angels come and say Salaam to her.

The angels call out to her, 'O Fatema! "Verily, Allah has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above all the women of the worlds" (3:42), which is the same way the angels used to call Maryam.

Then the Prophet (saww) looked at Ali and said:

O Ali! Fatema is a piece of my flesh, she is the light of my eyes, and she is the apple of my heart. That which saddens her saddens me, and that which pleases her pleases me. She is the first one (from my family) who will join me, so treat her with kindness after me.

As for Hasan and Husain, they are my sons and my flowers. They are the Masters of the Youth of Paradise, so treat them like you would treat your eyes and ears.

Then the Prophetes raised his hands toward the sky and said:

O Allah! I testify that I love those who love them. I hate those who hate them. I am at peace with those who are at peace with them. I fight those who fight them. I am the enemy of their enemies, and I am the friend of their friends.'

Knowledge of the Imam's (as)

Chapter: 36, Verse: 12

“And we have kept the account of everything in an evident Imam” [36:12]

Following is taken from the sermon of Prophet Muhammad on the day of Ghadeer, as narrated by Imam Muhammad Baqir (as).

“O People! There is no knowledge except that Allah has kept its account in Me. And all the knowledge that I have, have taught Ali and the Pious ones from his progeny [imam’s (as)] and He [Ali (as)] is the evident Imams that has been mentioned by Allah in Chapter of Yasin, “And we have kept the account of everything in an evident Imam”. [36:12]

Variation of the same narration can be found in other books also like Ehtejaaj by Allama Tabrisi.

Why Adam (as) is not Ulil Azm?

Chapter: 20 Verse: 115

“We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm determination” [20:115]

Narrated from Abi Jafar (as):

When Allah wanted to create creation, He first created sweet water, and soar water. and then He mixed them. and then He mixed the soil which was made on it. and from that, creatures originated which got to the right and to the left. so He told those to the right to go to heaven with peace. and He told the ones on the left, to go to hell as He does not care for them. then He asked them: am I not your Lord? they replied: yes. this testimony was so that they dont say on day of qayamat that they were not aware.

Then He took oath from Prophets (as) that am I not your Lord and Mohammad (saww) your Prophet and Ali (as) your Amir-ul-momineen?

They said: yes, with this, their Prophet hood was testified.

And then He took oath from those Prophets who had strength (Ulil-Azm) that He is the Lord, Mohammad (as) is the Prophet, Ali (as) is the Amir-ul-momineen and the Ausia (as) who would come, they are the owners of His Amr and treasurers of His knowledge. And Mehdi (ajfs), through him will help my religion and through him would show my wealth and through him I will take the revenge from those who are my enemies and through him they would obey me if they like it or not.

They said: we accept and we testify O Lord! But Adam neither accepted nor rejected. so Azm/strength was proven for 5 of them regarding Mehdi (atfs) and Adam (as) did not get Azm/determination regarding him and so Allah said:- “We took oath from Adam (as) , but he forgot and we did not find Azm in him”. [20:115]

Imam (as) said: Here it means left.

Then Allah ordered fire so it lit up. So He told people on left to enter, but they did not. Then He told people on right to enter, they entered. and fire got cooled and peaceful. Then people on left said: forgive us. He said: forgiven, but now enter but they did not

from here, obedience, wilayat and disobedience are proven.

Note: Authentic Hadees as per the Chain of Narrators

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mufaddal ibn Salih from Jabir from abu ‘Abd Allah (as) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Gracious.

"We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm determination"[20:115]

The Imam (as) said, "It means that Allah took covenant from Adam about Muhammad (s.a.) and the Imams after him. He forgot it and he did not have Azm/firm determination. They are called ’Ulu al-‘Azm because with them a covenant was established to acknowledge Walaya (Leadership with Divine Authority) of Muhammad (s.a.) and the executors of his will and al-Mahdi and his discipline. They established their determination to acknowledge Walaya of Muhammad and the executors of his will."

[source: Al-Kafi, Vol. 2 Pg. 8]

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd Allah from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa al-Qummi from Muhammad ibn Sulayman from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from abu ‘Abd Allah (as) about the words of Allah.

"We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam. (The commands consisted of certain words about Ali, Fatima, al-Hassan, al-Husayn and the Imams from their descendants (as) He (Adam) forgot Our covenant . . ." [20:115]

This is how it was revealed, by Allah, about Muhammad and his family, said the Imam (as)."

AhlulBait (as) dint prostrate to Adam (as)

Chapter: 38 Verse: 75

Eblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you one of those who are exalted?' [38:75]

Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdul-Wahab narrated to us from Abu al-Hasan Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Qawariri from Abu al-Hussein Mohammed bin Ammar from Ismaeel bin Tawba from Ziyad bin Abdullah al-Bukaai from Sulaiman bin al-Amish that Abu Saeed al-Khidri related:

We were sitting with the Prophet (s) when a man came and asked him:

"O Allah's Messenger, Allah says: 'Eblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you one of those who are exalted?' [38:75] Who are those exalted ones whose ranks are higher than the angels'?"

The Prophet (s) answered: Those are Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, al-Hussein, and I. We were in the pavilion of the Divine Throne praising Allah. The angels were imitating us. That was two thousand years before the creation of Adam. When He created Adam, Allah, Powerful and Exalted is He, ordered the angels to prostrate themselves before him. Allah did not include us in this order. All of the angels therefore prostrated except Eblis who rejected to prostrate. Referring to the five individuals whose names are recorded on the pavilion of the Divine Throne, Allah said to Eblis, 'Was it because of your pride or are you one of those who are exalted?

Abu Abdullah (as) said to me: "What are the statements that (some of) ours followers say regarding Isa and Musa and Amir-ul-Momineen (as)?"

I said, "They are sayin that Isa and Musa are of higher (status) than Amir-ul-Momineen (as)".

He (as) said, "Do they not think that Amir-ul-Momineen (as) knew what was known to the Messenger of Allah (saww)?"

I said, "Yes, and I told them that Ali knew whatever the Prophet knew but they say that He (as) was not higher than any of the ‘Ul Ul Azm’ Prophets."

Abu Abdullah (as) said, "Debate with them by the Book of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì."

I said, "And in which subject from it should I debate with them?"

He (as) said, "Allah(swt) the High said to Musa,

"And We Wrote for him in the Tablets everything from the knowledge" [7:145]. Allah (swt) did not Write for Musa all things.

And Allah (swt) Blessed and High Said for Isa, "And that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in" [43:63].

And Said for Muhammad (saww), "And on the day when We will raise up in every people a witness against them from among themselves, and bring you as a witness against these - and We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything" [16:89].

Imagine if Allah swt put a verse that went like: "i have created the universe for Muhammed , Ali, Fatima , Hassan, and Hussein. Follow them, and come to me through doing the dua for them, for i have allocated them a high status of listening to dua's, coming to me and telling me the dua's you have uttered, and then, because of their holy position, answering your dua"

i am NOT trying to mock Allah swt.

A clear cut verse like this would have ended sects, and we would all be shia's.

I am still learning though

Sunni's use the same verses and derive different meanings...

if ONLY i could meet the Imam and clarify these things...

i want to be guided..

If only Allah swt sent down the tafseer of the Quran in a seperate book...

or made the tafseer the actual Quran.

The thing is a human can probably understand the logic of a human without him telling him however u will not understand the logic of Allah azwj without Him telling you through His speaking tongue. Hence your logic fails here where the I of islam begins

Narrated to us Al-Abbas Bin Maroof, from Hamaad Bin Isa, from Rabaie, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who has said:

Abu Jafar (as) regarding the Statement of Allah (swt) the High, If they had stood fast by the Torah and the Injeel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord" [5:66], said: (It is) The Wilayah.

Salam.

Have started a page of 'Tafseer' on my website.

http://www.marefatea...ait.com/tafseer

The Purpose of this page is to highlight the status & authority of the AhlulBait (as) from the verses of the Holy Quran and Tafsir from the narrations of the Imam's (as).

Tafseer of Bismillah:

Narrated to me (Sheikh Sadooq) Muhammad bin Husain Al-Saffar, from Abbas bin Ma'roof, from Safwaan bin Yahya, from Aba Abdillah (as):

I (narrator) asked about "Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem".

Imam (as) said, 'BA' is for glory of Allah, 'SEEN' is for splendor of Allah, 'MEEM' is for Kingdom of Allah.

I will continue to post on this thread as I keep on adding on to my website for the benefit of those who are on shiachat.com

Wassalam

This looks like plain ghulu, kufr, and shirk. What has the Name of the Almighty God to do with one of His creations? Also, non-Muslim Arabs call God Allah.

And its very well known that as per the narrations the Imam's (as) have the complete knowledge of the Quran

I have looked at your website. You are very dedicated in your efforts to build the website. Since the Imams have complete knowledge (see above quote) they should have tafsirs for the Verse of Light (24:35) and for Verse 96:1. Is the interpretation of the Verse of Light (24:35) on your website? Is the interpretation for Verse 96:1 on your website?

Thank You

Yes we have the Tafseer from the Imam's (as) for these verses as well.

Here is the Tafseer for the verse 96:1-5:

Narrated to me Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Shibani, from Muhammad bin Ahmad, from Ishaq bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin Ali, from Usman bin Yusuf, from Abdullah bin Keesan from Abi Jafar (as)

Abi Jafar (as) said, "Jibraeel descended upon Muhammad (saww) and said, "O Muhammad, Read"

Prophet Muhammad (saww) said, "And what should I read?"

Jibraeel said, "Read in the name of your Lord the one who created" [96:1], meaning He created Your Noor (light) long before (creation of) other things."

"Created the Man from a Clot" [96:2], meaning He created You from a clot (of Noor as per the above words) and split from you Ali (as)."

"Read and Your Lord is the most generous. The one who gave knowledge with the Pen" [96:3-4], meaning He taught Ali ibn Ali Talib (as)."

"He gave knowledge to the Man what he did not know" [96:5], meaning He taught Ali (as) what He did not know before."

Ali ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn al-Hassan have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from Salih ibn Sahl al-Hamadani who has said the following.

"Abu ‘Abd Allah (as) has said the following About the statement of Allah, the Most High, "Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. A metaphor for His light is a lantern in which there is a lamp placed in a glass. The glass is like a shining star, which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither eastern nor western. Its oil almost lights up even though the fire has not touched it. It is light upon light. Allah guides to His light whomever He wants. Allah uses various metaphors. He has the knowledge of all things." (24:35) The (Imam) (as) said that the lantern metaphorically stands for the Holy lady, Fatima (as) the lamp stands for (Imam) al-Hassan (as) and the glass stands for (Imam) al-Husayn (as). The shining star stands for the Holy lady Fatima (as) who shines among the ladies of the world. The blessed olive tree stands for Prophet Abraham. Neither eastern nor western means not Jewish nor Christian. ‘Its oil almost lights up’ means that it almost bursts up with knowledge. ‘Light up on light’ means that there will one (Imam) after the other (Imam) (as) ‘Allah guides to His light who ever He wants’ means that Allah guides through the Imam whomever He wants." About ‘Allah uses various metaphors’ I said, "Or it (the deeds of the unbelievers) are like the darkness of a deep, stormy sea with layers of giant waves, covered by dark clouds. It is darkness upon darkness whereby even if one stretches out his hands he can not see them. One can have no light unless Allah gives him light. (24:40)

The (Imam) (as) said, " ‘darkness’ refers to the first and his friend, ‘with layers of giant waves’ refers to the third, ‘covered with darkness’ refers to the second. ‘It is darkness up on darkness’ refers to Mu‘awiya and the disasters caused by the Amavids. ‘Even if one stretches out his hands’ means that even if a true believer would stretch his hands in such disastrous condition ‘he can not see them’. ‘One can have no light unless Allah gives him light, means the light from the children of the Holy Lady, Fatima (as) ‘Can have no light’ means an (Imam) on the Day of Judgment." The (Imam) (as) said that, "On the Day of Judgment you will see the believers with their light shining in front of them and to their right. They will be told, "Paradise wherein streams flow is the glad news for you today. You will live therein forever. This is the greatest triumph." (57:12), the shining light in front . . .’ is a reference to the Imam (as) whom would walk in front and on the right of the true believers until they all enter paradise.

Ali ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn al-Hassan have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Musa ibn al-Qasim al-Bajali and Muhammad ibn Yahya from al-‘Amrakiy ibn Ali altogether from Ali ibn Ja‘far (as) from his brother a similar Hadith.

You don't find the following strange?

I find it very strange. I am very sure it's a fabrication, a lie, or a distortion. The word Allah existed before Muhammed. Elah is used in hewbrew or armaic i think.

Seriously. We are just proving ridiculous things on hot air.

The fact these things aren't explicit should say it all.
