Because the bad forms of perfectionism promote such disorders. I'm not associating anything bad with Islam.

I am thinking that Islam promotes high achievement rather than perfectionism, what do you people think?

I assume you're referring to wanting physical perfection.

Islam promotes perfection in nearness to Allah, not worldly matters.

The whole purpose to Islam is to promote perfectionism on both a personal and social level.

The problem you'll find is that the definition of perfectionism isn't universal or agreed upon unanimously.
