I assume you're referring to wanting physical perfection.

Islam promotes perfection in nearness to Allah, not worldly matters.

I wouldn't say it promotes perfectionism, but does discourage complacency.

Hmm XD I think this would be a great research paper :D Because everyone writes about the bad effects of perfectionism on social acceptance but not on God's acceptance.

Maybe a cause and effect paper.

The whole purpose to Islam is to promote perfectionism on both a personal and social level.

The problem you'll find is that the definition of perfectionism isn't universal or agreed upon unanimously.
