Those videos do not show the slightest hint of "bravery".

1. And? Does it make the point I made invalid?

2. Did you not look properly ? How can you come to that conclusion? It's false for sure, because I could point out different facts.

@Akbar673 @Haji 2003

Since we had a little discussion on this some time ago I think it would be pertinent to mention that I watched 'Frozen 2' on the weekend. There is music in it of course, being a disney movie and the story was just passable but thankfully there were not any scenes like kissing etc or even na mehram girl and boy being alone together ( I didn't feel the need to distract my kids any time during the movie or detox them afterwards) . Overall entertaining and clean.

Well then, point out your 'facts'.

1] You did not make a recognizable 'point'. You only showed parades and people showing-off for a camera.

2] l looked and laughed. clowns silhouetting themselves, unsupported movement, and a reconnaissance-by-fire tactic by people who cannot even hold their weapons properly are what l remember off-hand.

I can't find the Hadith but Muslims should dedicate a portion of their time for halal entertainment/pleasure. So as long as it has nothing bad in it, relaxing in that way is actually good. Even a form of worship if the intention is correct.

That was a sarcastic response to that person who said the same thing to me about something irrelevant. Hard to have been obvious to those who didn’t see their initial post. My apologies.

l mention your review to my little sister. She said that she heard it from other women but was not "sure" as this was from down at a day care center. She said she'd take them to it now.

There's a movie called The Physician on Amazon Prime.

The trailer blurb mentioned that it was about some Englishman in the 10th century going to Isfahan to study medicine. So obviously I took a look and thought it was a bit curious that the starting section showed various Middle Eastern books, starting with a text in Hebrew.

Looking at the Trivia section on Amazon yielded this gem. I didn't bother watching any more.

One to watch.

About the NHS (British health system) but people from outside the UK should also watch to see how health should be delivered and how American corporate imperialism can undermine social justice.

The choice to put modern Hebrew in the mouths of historical Persian Jewry seems rather an act of convenience than one of historical accuracy. Same for Ibn Sina speaking the Queen's English...

The film faithfully depicts the intellectual and religious cosmopolitanism in the heartlands of Islam at that time. Also notes that the enmity between religions was political in nature as Muslims had good community relations with Jews but not with Christians (due to crusades and preceding wars). So the bloke from England had to assume a Jewish identity in order to study at the madrassah in Isfahan as Christian students were not admitted.

But the filmmakers couldn't resist the temptation to depict the more 'pious' Muslims who destroyed and pillaged their own lands and killed their coreligionists due to perceived deviance from Islam, thus projecting modern problems on history when things were entirely different.

Well the quotation I provided strongly suggested that the Hebrew replaced what should have been Farsi.

That's possible. I didn't notice the language in the background anyway because none of that was part of the story or script.

It's a shame it wasn't released earlier, it would have certainly swayed some voters.

I still think this video contains good material irrespective of the realities in the political world and in regard to the evil " West ".

He talks about Zero-sum games in several videos including this one. While this is a reality and could be a serious threat for one, I conclude the US decisionmakers or hand behind the curtain+certain " interest groups" are like others before them; evil ideas, way to conquer and dominate, law of the jungle, etc. And that they would be destroyed to dust and still not give up the hate, blindness, and way, or at least should be approached like this.

Imam Ali (عليه السلام) mentions in a hadith (in my own words, if I remember correctly:) it will be easier to push/(re)move a mountain from its place than to end or remove a dictatorship/evil empire/...
The Islamic Republic knows this, but it is relevant here.
If they will insist and not be different than the most hostile possible, not caring for truth, how should be dealt with this situation?
For the position in the world in many aspects of " the West" all of it, including on the other side of the world "white" countries, the huge markets of them, especially United States (and its nature which is not like that of Europe), can not be denied.
The US, the UK, France, Israel. Real enemies with same and different characteristics. They want us dying, dead. Removed from existence.

Why not build and focus instead on(1)the axis of resistance, (2) focus on the rest (East,Africa), and (3) make "materialistic" real growth for the Republic ?

While:
1. Exporting efforts to all populations around the world. with different specific goals, methods and wherewithal.
2. Boycotting the US. And looking for who is willing to stand up together against the bully,in all cases, and how to stimulate this.

The Islamic Republic, God-Willing, is here to stay until the return of Imam Al Mahdi (AJTF).
Therefore we need to focus on ourselves and the final battle.
If we, firstly Iran really, would agree and join together (political) under what I am trying to address , we could be much more effective.

But realistically, I think the most important and first step in that regard is; we need a good vote in Iran in the upcoming elections.

I'm interested in learning more about Resistance Economy which was also a important focus of the Supreme Leader, May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) Prolong His Life

Just finished The Invisible Guest. If you like crime/ thriller/ suspense, I recommend. Best of all it had no bad scenes (no kissing, nudity, sex, although the movie was based around an adulterous relationship) and only one curse word as far as I remember. But it's also an engaging plot with twists and turns and will keep you interested until the very end. 8/10

This is based on a true story. Family friendly. In French with English subtitles. Makes you feel hungry. About an average French lady who is asked to cook at the Elysee Palace.

Quatermass and The Pit.

The following is based on a BBC serial first broadcast in 1959. I watched the serial version, which is pretty good and available on BBC iplayer. The rest of you will have to make do with the 1967 movie (trailer below).

This is a good illustration of how propaganda works. Ostensibly this is a sci-fi (very mild horror) film, but underpinning it is a message directed at the race riots that were taking place in the UK at the time.

Family friendly.

l can remember this on theater billboards and displays. From what l read years later, like most people, l thought it was a Hollywood bang-bang and didn't go to see it.

EDIT: l can remember Cronkite opening the CBS Evening News with the report of Phnom Penh being emptied out.  What l remember most prominently about the Khmer Rouge and their "Year Zero" socialist rebuilding of the country was that anyone wearing glasses was summarily executed  --because wearing glasses proved the individual was "westernized".
