The choice to put modern Hebrew in the mouths of historical Persian Jewry

Well the quotation I provided strongly suggested that the Hebrew replaced what should have been Farsi.

That's possible. I didn't notice the language in the background anyway because none of that was part of the story or script.

One to watch.

About the NHS (British health system) but people from outside the UK should also watch to see how health should be delivered and how American corporate imperialism can undermine social justice.

It's a shame it wasn't released earlier, it would have certainly swayed some voters.

Just finished The Invisible Guest. If you like crime/ thriller/ suspense, I recommend. Best of all it had no bad scenes (no kissing, nudity, sex, although the movie was based around an adulterous relationship) and only one curse word as far as I remember. But it's also an engaging plot with twists and turns and will keep you interested until the very end. 8/10

This is based on a true story. Family friendly. In French with English subtitles. Makes you feel hungry. About an average French lady who is asked to cook at the Elysee Palace.

Quatermass and The Pit.

The following is based on a BBC serial first broadcast in 1959. I watched the serial version, which is pretty good and available on BBC iplayer. The rest of you will have to make do with the 1967 movie (trailer below).

This is a good illustration of how propaganda works. Ostensibly this is a sci-fi (very mild horror) film, but underpinning it is a message directed at the race riots that were taking place in the UK at the time.

Family friendly.

l can remember this on theater billboards and displays. From what l read years later, like most people, l thought it was a Hollywood bang-bang and didn't go to see it.

EDIT: l can remember Cronkite opening the CBS Evening News with the report of Phnom Penh being emptied out.  What l remember most prominently about the Khmer Rouge and their "Year Zero" socialist rebuilding of the country was that anyone wearing glasses was summarily executed  --because wearing glasses proved the individual was "westernized".

There is a sub-genre of the military/war category of movies that I have identified.

I call it 'small number of good white people killing lots of bad Africans'. The genre started with Zulu Dawn (South Africa), it also includes Black Hawk Down (Somalia) and 13 hours (Libya). Adding to the list we now have 15 Minutes of War, also set in Somalia. I think the Somalis spotted the trend and took to seaborne piracy instead.

Basic premise underlying all these films (apart from the first one) is that thousands of Africans wildly firing modern weapons set on auto are no match for cool and calm white people who take their time to aim and then fire either short bursts or even just single shots. In the first one the Africans only had bows and arrows (If I recall correctly).

Even more depressingly for the Africans in this movie they are having their behinds whupped by the French.

The shame.

In French with English subtitles.

All movies mentioned in this review are ok for family viewing. Though it has been some time since I saw Zulu Dawn.

The House Managers make near-fools of themselves by whining before the Senate on how Trump is so abusive and that is why they do not need any evidence of a crime.

l am also watching this because l cannot trust the nutwork news. l watch the same segment as they do and then they comment on things that never were said.

Can't remember seeing this before, but I am sure I must have. Anyway, I've been a Monty supporter all my life but presented like this you get the urge to take Patton's side.

No women, so ok from that point of view, but Patton does cuss like a trooper, so some people may find that offensive.

Watch it and you'll see why Trumpism did not come out of the blue, the sentiments were always there.

@Mohammed-Mehdi

1] Ain't you no never red Ayats 10:90-92.    Firaun is still stuck in the muck somewhere awaiting discovery.

2] By the 1890s, enough Egyptian archeology had been done that all the mummies of the pharaohs had been discovered except Ramses 2; therefore, the we-know-everthing chr!stian leaders proclaimed that the pharaoh of Moses -(عليه السلام). had to be Ramses 2. Much like the location of Hell was Mt Etna until after WW2. As written in the 1990s, that after the discovery of Ramses 2 in Canada and (confirmed) in Atlanta, those know-it-alls had a real problem, and not just in credibility.
