Imam al-Sadiq as said, ‘Fatima as had some barley which she made into a sweet paste. When they had finished cooking it and placed it on the table, a poor man came and said, ‘May Allah have mercy upon you.’ So Ali as stood up and gave him a third of it. Soon afterwards, an orphan came and said, ‘May Allah have mercy upon you.’ Ali as stood up and gave him a third. Soon afterwards, a prisoner of war came and said, ‘May Allah have mercy upon you.’ So Ali as gave him the last third, and they did not even taste it. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verses honouring them, and they apply to every believer who does the same for the sake of Allah, the Exalted.[ Ibid. p. 470, no. 20]

Imam al-Sadiq (as) said, ‘The glorification of Fatima al-Zahra’ [The glorification of Fatima al-Zahra’ (as), otherwise known as Tasbih al-Zahra’ is composed of reciting Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greater) 34 times, Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) 33 times and Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) 33 times. Usually it is recommended to recite it after every obligatory prayer (ed.)] (as) is from the frequent remembrance which Allah mentions, “Remember Allah with a frequent remembrance.”[ al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 500, no. 4]

(bismillah)

(salam)

Since we are in the time of Fatimiya, I thought it would be good to post the following:

"

The time of Fatimah's Death and the Spot of her Grave

It is reported that Fatimah died on the third of Jumada 'l-Akhirah in the eleventh year of the hijrah. She survived the Prophet by only ninety‑five days. It is also reported that she survived him by four months.

The Commander of the Faithful (`Ali) himself took charge of her washing. It is reported that Asma' daughter of `Umays assisted him in washing her. Asma' related: “Fatimah had stated in her will that no one should wash her corpse except 'Ali and I. Thus we washed her together, and the Commander of the Faithful prayed over her along with Hasan and Husayn, `Amman ibn Yasir, Miqdad, `Aqil, az‑Zubayr, Abu Dharr, Salman, Buraydah and a few men of Banu Hashim. They prayed over her in the night, and in accordance with her own will 'Ali the Commander of the Faithful buried her in secret.”

There is much disagreement among traditionists as to the exact spot of her grave. Our own traditionists have asserted that she was buried in the Baqi `. Others said that she was buried in her own chamber, and that when the Umayyad rulers enlarged the Mosque of Medina, her grave came to be in the sanctuary. Still others argued that she was buried between the grave and pulpit of the Prophet. It is to this that the Prophet alluded in his saying: “There is between my grave and pulpit a garden of the gardens of Paradise.” The first view is unlikely, while the two other views are nearer to the truth. Thus, those who wish to apply the principle of caution (ihtiyat) when performing ziyarah, or pilgrimage, to her grave, should do so in all three places.

This is all that we wished to say concerning Muhammad, the Elect Prophet (al‑Mustafa) and his daughter Fatimah, the Radiant (az‑Zahra'). From Allah alone comes success. "

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said, “Surely the door of Fatemah is like my door and her house is my house. Then whoever is disrespectful towards her, it is as if he has ripped apart the veil of Allah.”

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed Salmaan, "He who befriends Fatemah (a.s.) will be with me in Paradise and he who bears enmity with Fatemah will be in Hell. O Salmaan! Affection for Fatemah will rescue a person in 100 stations of which the least terrifying are death, grave, scale of deeds, resurrection, seraat and accounting of deeds. He with whom my daughter is pleased, will benefit from my pleasure, and he with whom, I am pleased will benefit from Allah's Pleasure. And he with whom Fatemah is angry, will incur my wrath and he with whom I am angry will be a target of Allah's Wrath. Most deplorable is the one who tyrannizes Fatemah (s.a.) or her husband Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) or her sons or their Shias" (Ref :Faraaed al-Simtain book 2, p 67 )

Ibne Abbas narrates,

"Fatimah (s.a.) saw the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) in her dream. She said - I complained to him regarding how we were treated after him. She said - The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said to me - The hereafter, which is prepared for the pious, is for you. And surely you will advance towards me shortly."

Imam Hassan (as) said, 'on the friday night I saw my mother (Fatima (as)) standing in her arch of prayer. She was continuously kneeling and performing prostration till the dawn broke. I would hear her pray for the faithful men and women, but she did not at all pray for herself. I said, 'Oh mother why did you not pray for yourself like you prayed for others?' so she replied, 'Oh my son, first thy neighbour and there after your own house.'

These are some by sayeda fatima a.s and about her a.s

The following sayings are taken from Fascinating Discourses of the 14 Infallibles (as), Islamic Propagation Organization, Translated by Javed Iqbal Qazilbash Ansariyan Publications

1.

Praise and Eulogy is for Allah for the blessing and bounties which He has bestowed. And thanks to HIM upon what He revelated (to His servants) And Praise is for HIM upon the common boons and blessings which He bestowed upon His servants without their request And upon the comprehensive and complete blessings which He granted to all and sundry and gave it to us, consequetively. Those graces and favours which are uncountable.

And are irredeemable and uncompensatable due to their plentifulness of number. And the imagination of their end is out of the reach of human mind.

He invited the servant to thankfuness for the sake of the consequetive and continous enhanecment of blessings. And opened the door of euloqy and Praise (of Allah) upon them so that He may make his favours and beneficiences great and plentiful for them.

2.

I testify that there is no Diety (Lord) except the sole and matchless Allah. And the testification of the singleness of Allah is a word that Allah has declared sincerity (as) it's reality, and made the hearts the centre of it's contact and union. And has made the specifications and research of the oneness of Allah's station obvious and evident in the light of meditation. The Allah Who can not be seen by the eyes and tongues are unable and baffled to describe His virtues and attributes. And the intelligence and apprehension of man is helpless and destitude from the imagination of his howness.

3.

Allah made all the beings without previous matter and sample and shape and pattern. And made them wear the dress of life by His main and mights and created them according to His Devine will and Intention short of it that He might have neeeded their creatlon or have wished any benefit for Himself from their shaping and sketching except this that he wanted to give a proof of Hls wisdom and make the people (creations) aware about His obedience and submisslon and invited them to his servitude and worship and make His Invitation grand and ostentatlous.

4..

Allah fixed the reward for His obedience and torment for His insubordination and disobedience so that He may restraln His servants from His wrath and fury and lead them to His paradise.

5.

And I testify that my father Mohammad (SAW) is the apostle and the servant of Allah. And Allah selected and chose him before appolnting him at the post of Prophethood. And He named him before choosing and selecting him. And chose him before envoying and delegating him. Then all the creations were hidden and covered in the covers of unseen and were hidden amid the screen and curtain of fear and fright and stayed near the last and final border of non entity (nothingness) for Allah was aware of and knew the end of matters and because of Hls encompassing the incidents of times and ages and His knowledge of the predestinates.

Allah appolnted him (as apostle) so that he may complete and finalise His matter and Implement His order and materialise His decreeds and predestinates.

6.

Allah saw nations and groups had various different sects in their religion and scattered and staying on the verge of the fires of differences, busy with the their idol worshipping. They denied God with all the signs and symbols of HIM. (IRFAN) So Allah illuminated the darknesses through my father Mohammad (SAW) and removed the darknesses from their hearts, removed (cured) the blindness of the eyes.

7.

My father (Mohammad (SAW) ) stood up with (his) guidance among the people. And saved them from perversion and aberration, and turned their blindness into enlightenment and guided them towards the firm religion. And called (invited) them to the straight way.

8.

You the servants of Allah, are the ones to maintain His injunctions and prohibitions, and the carriers of His religion, and His relevation, and the trustees of Allah upon your souls, and the propagators of His religion among the other nations.

9.

Oh the servants of Allah! (beware) the real leader from Allah, is present among you and the commitment has previously been made to you and the remaining and left over of the prophet hood has been appointed for your guidance.

That is the speaking book of Allah the truthful Quran, and a beaming and gleaming light, in which all the secrets and facts about the completion of man and his prosperity have been exhibited and illuminated. It guides from darkness towards light of guidance. It s followers are the subject of envoy of others.

10.

The book of Allah is the guide of it's followers towards the pleasure of Allah. Listening (carefully) to it leads to the salvation. The enlightened and conspicous evidences and proofs of Allah can be obtained through it. And (also the knowledge) of His interpreted intentions and fear invoking constraining prohibitions. His sufficing testimonies and conspicous arguments, and desired virtues and allowed endowments and gifts and obligatory devine laws. (can be obtained from it)

11.

Allah made the faith for you as a purity from polytheism (and infedility).

12.

And (made) service the cause of your getting distant (purification) from pride (egoism).

13.

And rendered alms for the purity of your soul and flourishment and expansion of your sustenence.

14.

And rendered fasting for the maintainance and firmness of your sincerity.

15.

And Allah set Hajj for the consolidation and reinforcement of the religion.

16.

Allah executed and rendered justice for the sake of putting together and harmonization of the hearts.

17.

And (Allah set) the subordination and obedience of us (the houshold of the Prophet (SAW)) for the security of society's system and our Immamate as a safety from seggregation and disunity).

18.

And (Allah made) Jahad (holy war), the honour and glory for Islam and abjectness and humbleness for the infidels and the hypocrites.

19.

And (Allah rendered) patience as a help for getting reward.

20.

And (Allah caused) commanding goodness and forbiding to do evil for the amendment and correction of society and the common folks (public).

21.

And (Allah made) the kindness to parents as a protectional (shield) to His wrath and displeasure.

22.

And Allah made joining and connecting with the kinship and cognation, the cause of lengthening of life.

23.

And Allah made law of retaliation (revenge for homicide) as the security of blood (from being shed).

24.

And Allah executed the vow performing as a medium for forgiveness.

25.

And (Allah rendered) the correct use of weights measure (units) a medium for stoping from selling less (than actual).

26.

And (Allah rendered) prohibition from drinking wine the cause of taking distance from contaminations (evils).

27.

And Allah made the prohibition to accuse someone of adultery a protection (shield) for avoiding (His) curse.

28.

And (Allah made) refraining from theft for the sake of positiveness and affirmation for modesty.

29.

And Allah prohibited polytheism for the sake of (bringing about) sincerety in (His) adoration and worship.

30.

Certainly, an apostle has come to you from among yourselves; grievous to him is your falling into distress, excessively solictious respecting you; to the believers (he is) compassionate, merciful.

So if you assay and recognise him you will find he is my father not the father of your women and the brother of my cousin, (Ali a.s) not that of your men. And how nice a relation I have to him. So he propagated his prophetic (mission). He always used to turn his face from the polytheists.

And fought against them till he beat them up. He would invite people towards Allah by wisdom, and beautiful admonition. He broke the idols and scattered the aggregation of polytheists in a way that they ran away (from the battle fields), so that finally the hidden secret of oneness of Allah became manifested by him.

And he made the logic of religion reach the ears ((of the people) and settled down the foam of the camels of satan and turned the salogan yelling of those devils silent. And downed the agents of hypocrisy and mutual commitments of the infidels got dissolved till such time that, you (people) spoke to a group of enlightened and modest men with the words of oneness of Allah and sincerity.

31.

You were on the edge of a fire ditch, and were a cup of drink and the morsal of a greedy one and a firebrand of every hastey one and were being trampled on (by other nations) and drank from the contaminated waters gathered over in ditches and your energy (food) was (secured by) the leaves of trees and desert grass. And for your abjectness and abasement you were always afraid that those arround you might abduct you in the winking of an eye. So, Allah liberated you (of these misfortunes) through my father Mohammed (SAW). Inspite of it that he (SAW) was involved and at war against the intrepid and the hungry wolves of Arab and the stubborns refractories of the people of the books (Jews and Christians). Whenever his opponents would lit the fire of war, Allah extinguished it to your benefit.

32.

33.

The Prophet (SAW) said to Fatima (as) what is the thing which is a blessing for woman?'

She said that, 'she must not see a man (stranger and not intimate) and a man must not see her.'

34.

One day a lady came to Fatima (as) said 'I have a weak old mother who does not know a few problems about her service (prayers). She has sent me towards you to question you (about them). Thus Fatima answered her (questions). And the number of her queries reached to ten and Fatima (as) replied to all her questions. Then she (the woman got a shamed because of the high number of her questions. And said, 'Oh daughter of the Prophet (SAW), 'I do not put you to more inconvinience than this.'

Fatima (as) said, 'Ask me what you do not know. Have you ever seen a person who is one day hired to carry a heavy thing to the roof top from ground for an amount (equal to) a thousand dinnars (nearly a hundred thousand miskal (unit of weight) of gold) and he may feel himself tired.'

She said 'No'. Fatima (as) said, 'I have been hired by Allah to get a wages which if the space between the earth and sky is filled up with pearls still (That wages) would he more than it for each of the questions I may answer you. Therefore, I deserve it that I must not feel tired exhausted.'

35.

Oh Allah! belittle me in my eyes and glorify and magnify Your station to me. And inspire me (about) Your obedience and the practice which may cause Your pleasure and the shunning and evading from things (matters) which are the cause of Your wrath, oh the most merciful of all! 36.

Oh Allah! content me with the sustenence you have granted me. And till such time that you keep me alive, hide me and make me sound and prosperous. And forgive me and take pity upon me when I die. (During death process). Oh Allah! do not help me in something that you have not predestined for me. And facilitate the achievement of that thing which you have predestined for me.

37.

Oh Allah! bestow upon my parents and all those persons who have rights of their blessings and beneficiences upon me, the best of Your rewards. Oh my Allah, spare me the leisure and respite for the object for which You have created me. And do not let me be busy and involved (absolutely) in my commitments. And do not torment me when I ask forgivensess. And do not deprive me of what I yearn and question you for.

38.

Underlying are the rhymes which Hazrat Zahra (as) recited upon the mourning of Prophet's (SAW) demise.

The person who smells the sweet fragnance of the grave of the Prophet (SAW) so what if he does not smell any other fragnance for long times to come?

Agonies and anguishes and griefs poured upon me in such a way that had they poured upon days those would have turned into nights. (bleak, dark and bewildering).

39.

The dust of sorrow covered the space of sky and the sun has faded and the bright day turned bleak. The earth has become dark and gooomy after the death of the Prophet (SAW) Woe! Alas! what the earth will have much of Jolting upon being seperated and parted from him (SAW).

It is meritorious and befitting that the east and west of the world may weep upon the parting of Prophet (SAW) and the persons of Muzzir tribe and all of they rest of the Yemen tribes shed tears.

And the great magnificient mountain of the existence and the hidden and covered Kabaah (House of Allah) and its pillars should shed tears.

Oh the terminator and finaliser of the (series of) prophets! the light of whome is the source of blessing for the worlds inhabitants, Be the salutation and blessings of Allah the desender of Holy Quran upon you.

40.

Following you (Prophet (SAW)) inequities (intrigues and revolts) took shape and varient voices were raised so that if you were present and supervising (things) all these differences and deviations would not have taken place.

You set off (on the journey of eternity) from among us and now our condition is like the earth which becomes devoid of the beneficial rains. And your nation upset the order and discipline of matters. So be a witness and do not let their matter get out of your sight.

i found this story of Fatima Al Zahra A.S

SAYYIDA FATIMAH AL-ZAHRA (A.S.) - THE MIRACLE OF HER GENEROSITY

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah al-Ansari, a prominent companion of the Holy Prophet (saww) has reported that:

[ One day, we were with the Holy Prophet (saww) after ‘Asr (after noon) prayer when an old immigrant man came by who was wearing worn out clothes and was barely able to walk because of his old-age and weakness. The Holy Prophet (saww) inquired to him about his welfare and the old man said, “O Prophet of Allah! I am starving, so feed me; I am naked, so cloth me; and I am poor, so help me!”

The Holy Prophet (saww) said, “Surely I have nothing to give you, yet, he, who guides to goodness is equal to one who performs it. So go to the house of one (she) who loves Allah and His messenger, and Allah and His messenger love her. The one who prefers Allah over herself; I mean Fatimah (a.s.)”.

Fatimah (a.s.)’s house was near to that of the Holy Prophet (saww). He (saww) asked Bilal to lead the old man to her house. As soon as they reached her house, the old man cried out loudly, “Peace be upon you O people of the house, where the angles frequent their visits; where Roohul-Ameen (Jibrael) descends bringing what the Lord of the worlds reveals”. Fatimah (a.s.) responded to his greetings and asked who he was, to which, the old man replied, “I am an old Arab man. I have emigrated to your father from a distant land. O Daughter of Muhammad! I am hungry and in need of clothing – so console me and may Allah bless you”.

This incident occurred at a time when the Holy Prophet (saww), Imam Ali (a.s.) and Sayyida Fatimah (a.s.) had not eaten anything for three days. Fatimah (a.s.) gave the old man a ram skin which was used as bed by her two children, al-Hasan (a.s.) and al-Husayn (a.s.). However, the old man said, “O Daughter of Muhammad! I complain to you of hunger and you give me a ram’s skin? How can I eat this?” Fatimah (a.s.) took out her necklace which Fatimah binti Hamza bin ‘Abdulmuttalib had given to her, handed it over to the old man saying, “Sell this and Allah will grant you with a solution to your problem”. The old man took the necklace, brought and showed it to the Holy Prophet (saww). The Holy Prophet (saww) said, “Indeed Allah will grant you a solution, for Fatimah, the Mistress of all the women has given to you this necklace”.

‘Ammar bin Yassir, who was present, said, “O Messenger of Allah! Do you allow me to buy this necklace?” The Holy Prophet (saww) said, “Buy it ‘Ammar, surely if all men and women participate in its purchase, Allah will protect them from Hellfire”. ‘Ammar asked the old man for its price and he replied, “A meal of bread and meat, a Yemeni shirt to cover myself and a dinar to return to my family”. ‘Ammar gave him 20 dinar and 200 dirham, a Yemeni shirt, wheat bread and meat, and a horse to take him to his home. The Holy Prophet (saww) asked the old man if he was satisfied with all that and he replied in affirmation. “So reward Fatimah for her kindness”, said the Holy Prophet (saww). The old man prayed, “O Allah! Give Fatimah that which no eye has seen and no ear has heard”.

‘Ammar perfumed the necklace with musk and sent it to the Holy Prophet (saww) with a slave whom he had purchased with the booty he received from Khyber, saying, “Give this necklace to the Messenger of Allah and tell him that I gift you to him too”. When the slave delivered the necklace and the message, the Holy Prophet (saww) said to him, “Take this necklace to Fatimah and I gift you to her”. When the slave came to Fatimah (a.s.), she took her necklace back and set the slave free. When the slave was set free, he laughed loudly. Fatimah (a.s.) asked for the purpose of laughing and he said, “I laughed when I thought of the abundance of goodness in this necklace. It fed a hungry man; it clothed a naked man; satisfied a poor man; freed a slave; and came back to its original owner”.] (Chauda Sitaare)

We humbly extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Imam al-Hujjah (A.J.) and to all the followers of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) on the occasion of the Martyrdom of Sayyida Fatima (a.s.)

Muhammad in Yahya has narrated from al-‘Amrakiy ibn Ali from Ali ibn Ja‘far from his brother from abu al-Hassan (DivineSupremeCovenantBody) who has said the following.

ان فاطمۃ علیه السلام صدیقۃ شهیدۃ و ان بنات الانبیاء لا یطمثن

"Fatima is truthful and a martyr. The daughter of the prophets do not experience menses."

Abu ‘l-Husayn Muhammad b. Harun b. Musa at-Talla`ukbari said: Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa narrated to me. He said: Ahmad b. al-Hasan al-Qattan narrated to us. He said: al-Hasan b. `Ali as-Sakuni narrated to me from Ahmad b. Zakariyya al-Jawhari. He said: Shu`ayb b. Waqid narrated to me. He said: Ishaq b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Isa b. Zayd b. `Ali (b. al-Hu

sayn) b. `Ali Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã narrated to me. He said: I heard Abu `Abdillah Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã saying:

Fatima was called a muhaddatha because the angels used to descend from Heaven and call to her as they had called to Maryam bint `Imran, saying: O Fatima, verily Allah has chosen you and purified you over the women of the worlds. O Fatima, be obedient to thy Lord – (to the rest of) the verse (3:42-43). And she would converse with them and they would converse with her, so she said to them one night: Is it not Maryam bint `Imran who is chosen over the women of the worlds? So they said: Verily Maryam was the mistress of the women of her world, and verily Allah ÊÚÇáì has made you the mistress of the women of the worlds from the first and the last.

al Husain b. Ahmad b. Idris ÑÍãå Çááå narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa narrated to us. He said: al `Abbas b. Ma`ruf narrated to us from Muhammad b. Sahl al Bahrani (in the copy: Muhammad b. Suhail and in all the copies: al Najrani, and what we have proved is from the lexicon of the rijal), who traced it to Abu `Abdillah al Sadiq Ja`far b. MuhammadÚáíå ÇáÓáÇã. He said:

Those who have wept (excessively) are five – Adam, Ya`qub, Yusuf, Fatimah b. Muhammad Õáì Çááå Úáíå æÂáå and `Ali b. al Husain ÚáíåãÇ ÇáÓáÇã.

As to Adam, he wept over Jannah until his cheeks became like valleys (i.e. curved, sunk in).

As to Ya`qub, he wept over Yusuf until his vision left and until he was told: ‘By Allah! You shall not cease to remember Yusuf until you become become sick to the hilt or you are of those who perish’ [surat al Yusuf: 85].

As to Yusuf, he wept over Ya`qub until the inhabitants of the prison were hurt by it and they said: Either you weep by day and be silent at night or that you weep by night and be silent in the daytime. So he agreed to one of those two with them.

As to Fatimah b. Muhammad Õáì Çááå Úáíå æÂáå, she wept over RasulAllah Õáì Çááå Úáíå æÂáå until the people of Madinah were troubled due to it. And they said to her: You give us trouble through the excess of your crying. So she went out towards the graves of the shuhadaa’ and wept until her need was accomplished; then she would depart.

And as to `Ali b. al Husain, he wept over al Husain ÚáíåãÇ ÇáÓáÇã for twenty years or forty years. And food would not be placed in front of him but he would weep until a retainer of his said to him: May I be ransomed for you, O son of the Messenger of Allah! I fear for you lest you be of those who perish (i.e. due to the excessive crying and lack of nutrition). He said: I only complain of my sorrow and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah what you know not. Verily I do not remember the perdition (battleground?) of the children of Fatimah but that I am choked with tears because of that.

Imam Hasan Askari(a.s.) reported that his father quoted Jabir Ibn Abdullah as saying : ' The Messenger of Allah, Peace be Upon him and his cleansed progeny, said : ' When Allah created Adam and Eve, they strutted through paradise and said : ' Who are better than we ? ' At that moment they noticed an image of a girl like they had never seen before; from this girl came an illuminating light so bright that it almost blinded the eyes.

They said : ' O Lord, what is this ? ' He answered : ' This is the Image of Fatima(s.a.), the mistress of your women descendants. '

A famous event known as the "Event of the Cloak" was reported in the Shiite books regarding "the verse of purification." The context of the event is as follows:

Jabir Ibn Abdullah Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the authority of Lady Fatima, the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be on her) that she said:

"One day when my beloved father, the Holy Prophet (S), visited me in my house,

he (S) said: `O Fatima! Peace be on you.'

I replied: `O father! Peace be on you too.'

He then said: `I am feeling some weakness within me.'

I said: 'Allah forbid that you may be sick.'

Then he said: 'Fatima! Fetch me a Yemenite cloak and wrap it round me.' I brought the Yemenite cloak and covered my dear father with it. I then noticed that his face was glowing like a full moon.

A moment later, my beloved son, Hassan came and said: 'O my dear mother! Peace of Allah be on you.'

1 replied: 'O my loving son, the apple of my eyes, the delight of my heart! Peace be on you too.'

He then said: 'O my dear mother! I am smelling the fragrance of my loving grandfather!'

I said:`Yes, your beloved grandfather is here under the cloak.'

Hassan then went forwards his grandfather and said: `O my grandfather! Peace be on you. May I enter the cloak.'

My loving father replied: `O my son, the owner of my fountain (of Kauthar)! Peace be on you too. Yes; you may enter.'

Thus Hassan entered the cloak. Soon after, my loving son, Hussain came and said: `O my dear mother! Peace be on you.'

1 replied: `O my loving son, the apple of my eyes, the delight of my heart! peace be on you too.'

He then said: `O my dear mother! I am smelling the fragrance of my affectionate grandfather!' I replied: 'Yes, your loving grandfather and your elder brother Hassan, are inside the cloak.'

Hussain then went near the cloak and said: `O my dear grandfather, the chosen Prophet of Allah! peace be on you. May I also come inside the cloak to be with both of you.'

My loving father replied: `O my son, the interceder of my Ummah! peace be on you too. Yes you may enter.'

Thus Hussain too entered the cloak.

Then Ali-Ibn Abu Talib came and said: `O beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet! peace be on you.'

1 replied: `O Abul-Hassan, Commander of the Faithful! peace be on you too.'

He then said: 'Fatima! I am smelling the fragrance of my brother, the son of my Uncle.'

I replied: 'Yes! He along with your two sons is inside the cloak'

Ali then proceeded towards the cloak and said: `O Prophet of Allah! peace be on you. May I also come to you inside the cloak!'

My beloved father replied: 'Peace be on you also my brother, my vicegerent, my successor, my standard bearer! You may also come inside.'

Thus Ali also went inside the cloak

Then I went near the cloak and said: `Peace be on you, O my loving father! O Prophet of Allah! May I also come to you inside the cloak.'

My loving father replied: 'Peace of Allah be on you also, my beloved daughter! All

dear heart! You too have my permission.'

Thus, I also went inside the cloak. Now when all of us got assembled inside the Cloak,

my affectionate father held the two corners of the cloak and raising his right hand towards the sky said:

'O Allah! These are my Ahlul-Bayt.

They are my confidants and my supporters.

Their flesh is my flesh and their blood is my blood.

Whoever hurts them, hurts me.

Whoever displeases them, displeases me.

Whoever makes peace with them, will make peace with me.

Whoever has enmity against them, will have enmity against me.

Whoever is a friend to them, is a friend of mine. It is because they belong to me and I belong to them.

O Allah! Bestow Your peace, Benevolence, Mercy, forgiveness and Your Pleasures on me and on them.

And keep them aloof from uncleanliness and keep them pure and thoroughly purified.'

Then the Lord, Almighty Allah said:

`O my Angels! O inmates of the heavens!

I created this solid firmament, well-stretched earth,

well-lighted moon, shinning sun, rotating planets, rippling oceans, floating boats,

and all other things for the sake and love of these five persons who are inside the cloak.'

At this, the Archangel Gabriel asked:

`O Lord! Who are they inside the cloak?'

The Lord said:

`They are Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet and the assets of the Prophethood. They are Fatima, her father, her husband and her two sons.'

Gabriel said:

`O Lord! permit me also to descend to earth and join them as the sixth inside the cloak.'

The Lord said: 'You are permitted.'

Thus Gabriel, the Archangel came down to earth and said:

`O Prophet of Allah! peace be on you. The Gracious Lord, the Almighty Allah sends His Greetings to you to bestow on you His Grace and Mercy and says:

"By My Grace and Grandeur! I have created this solid

firmament, well-stretched earth, well-lighted moon,

shining sun, rotating planets, rippling oceans, floating boats and

all other things for the sake and love of you and

your chosen people."

And the Lord, Almighty has given me the permission to join you inside the cloak

O Prophet of Allah!

May I come in and be with you?'

The Holy Prophet replied:

'O Bearer of the Divine revelations! Peace be on you also. Yes, you may come in.'

Then Gabriel too came inside the cloak

Thereafter, he spoke to my affectionate father:

'Allah sends His revelation to you people and says:

"Surely, Allah has decided that He should keep you and your Ahlul-Bayt clean of all pollution and purify you people with a thorough purification."'

Then Ali said to my loving father:

'Tell me! What merit the coming under this cloak has before Allah ?'

The Holy Prophet replied:

`By that Being, Who made me His Prophet and Who, for the salvation of mankind appointed me to prophethood! When any of our Shiites and supporters will assemble in a

gathering of the inmates of this earth and narrate this Hadith, Allah will bestow on them His Blessings and Mercy; angels will encircle them and as long as they do not disperse,

the angels will pray for the forgiveness of their sins.'

At this, Ali said:

`By Allah! We and our Shiites have now become triumphant.'

Then the Holy Prophet said:

'O Ali! By that Being, Who made me the righteous prophet and appointed me to the prophet-hood for the sake of people's salvation, whenever in the gathering of the inmates of this earth our Shiites and friends will assemble and narrate this Hadith of ours, and if some-one amongst them will be in agony, Allah will remove his trouble; and if someone was sorrowful, Allah will relieve him of his sorrows; will answer his needs.'

Then Ali said:

`By Allah! At this moment we have been crowned with success and Blessings; and by the Lord of Kaabah, in the same way our Shiites too have become triumphant and blessed in this world and the Hereafter.
