1)Why do we seek refuge from Satan in "Allah" while we start a Surah in "Allah's name"?

2)What is this name of Allah that we start in? It was always a perplexing topic to me. "In The Name Of Allah, The Beneficent, The Most Merciful" What is that "Name" or is this imperceivable by human nature?

1- the Quran itself orders us to seek refuge from Satan in "Allah", Surah Nahl-98:

ÝóÅöÐóÇ ÞóÑóÃúÊó ÇáúÞõÑúÂäó ÝóÇÓúÊóÚöÐú ÈöÇááøóåö ãöäó ÇáÔøóíúØóÇäö ÇáÑøóÌöíãö

2. in In the name of Allah, it doesn't mean a special name, but also it's general ..

it means : we start by the name Allah, who is Beneficent and The Most Merciful...because ESM (name) has no AL before, so it shows in Arabic it's general .

1.As brother @Iman=Faith@ said,it's order by Qur'an to seek protection by Allah.But in my opinion seeking protection is also mark of human's weaknes,and he's need for God's protection,in evrything.That has roots back to the time of Adem a.s

2."In The Name of Allah" means that evrything what you do,doing in His Name for His satisfaction.But Allah know best

I apologize for my late acknowledgment. I thank you everyone for your comments. Thanks brother Imaan=faith for the explanation that "esm" is not with AL, which would specify a name for Allah. Thanks for the efforts, I guess that answers my question. :D

'bi' can also be translated as 'by' instead of 'in' (the common word for 'in' is 'fee'), and is how I prefer to translate it here (by the name of Allah).
