I was out all day yesterday so my husband cooked. Today's leftovers are:

Halal hot dogs.

Planning beef enchiladas for tonight's supper. These will make much more interesting leftovers - if any are left. I need to shop for salad vegetables.

Yep, I bought this dinner set just the other day. I like cheerful looking crockery for casual use. But more sobre stuff for the guests though lol.

@Marbles Can i steal all your books please? :)

(Btw you really need to stop watching ARY news) :itsok:

You may take them but be prepared to spend the next ten years reading them :einstein:

In fact, no, I changed my mind. I can't bear to part from my books. How can I give them away to someone sitting beyond the proverbial seven seas

(ARY again? God I didn't notice. It was a coincidence, I don't watch ARY so much actually!)

all pakistani men watch ARY news. Because they enjoy getting stressed up by it.

Okay then, I'd try to watch tv dramas and get stressed by the endless saas-bahu intrigues :P

Eating this at the sister's. Pasta & chicken salad or something. Unique stuff. Never had it before. Sister was experimenting.

You've never had pasta before? WHY?

most of the Tv shows that i watch don't have that saas-bahu nonsense. + atleast i watch entertainment programmes. Is ARY entertaining? (I hight doubt it)

How can anyone not have tried pasta before? It's ubiquitous!

I meant this variety of pasta. It has bits of chicken, apple, capsicum, olives, some fancy dressing and what not. Never had this before.

ARY is sheer entertainment. It is sheer entertainment to see our politicians at one another's throats all the time. What more can I ask for...

@Marbles @hayaah More food pics less chitchat!  (Especially fascinating looking South Asian foods.)

I had chicken stew on rice. It resembled this, except atop lightly seasoned yellow rice:

Menu says tonight is vegetarian supper of steamed veggies and potatoes. (That's right, veggies AND potatoes!)

Yes, yes. But they look the same, and they are horrible uegh...

For instance how could this ever mean a hug? :cuddle:

It looks like a third rate magician looking for applause after pulling a cheap magic trick.

Why on earth would anyone wanna cry with a smile on their face? This is SC dude not a marriage site where you post tears of happiness when your rishta is confirmed...

@notme i blame marbles. Look how much he writes. :gossip:

@Marbles emoticons are not supposed to have bodies, which is why that emoticon's  arms are attached to it's head.

And :cryhappy: 's supposed to show how touched/overwhelmingly-happy  you are by something.

Now Sshh, before we get told-off again! :locked:

I discovered a way to make quite decent frozen yoghurt. You'll need a food processor (maybe a blender would work). Put your yoghurt of choice in the appliance and turn it on. Then feed frozen fruit (i like to use frozen cherries) into it. You should get a sludge of fairly small crystals. Add any syrup you want to use to sweeten it and put into an airtight container and freeze. The ice crystals should stay nice and small, keeping the product pleasantly smooth.

Today's my nephew's birthday. We got cake for him.

When l was little, one year (age 3) l had a "bunny cake" where the cake stood up, and ears straight up into the air. Mom said years latter that it took a long time to get the ears to stay-up before they baked it. l forget what the other animal birthday cake was. Maybe an elephant (?).

So, l guess it is normal to have a spider cake.
