I rarely eat eggs at night, but I just wanted to eat something light.

Yesterday I was fasting, I had beef noodle’s soup, rice with vermicelli and I drank some Laban too. I ate again at midnight because the weekend started, I had chicken kidney, I ate it with bread and I drank some sprite.

Pulled beef burrito......wasn't too impressed.....reminded me of boiled feet

I've never tried boiled feet.  You're saying you do not recommend?

I cooked absolutely nothing for supper last night because I had to wash the dishes after all the other adults in my house decided they were too busy with their video games and tv and whatever, and it seemed completely unfair for me to clean AND cook, so I picked the one that seemed most urgent.  The little ones ate leftover spaghetti and were happy.

I had an english muffin with cream cheese and pumpkin butter for breakfast, with my usual cup of coffee with milk.  I'm a little hungry now too, might have lunch.  Tonight's supper is planned to be meatloaf burgers.

Here in the US there is an annoying insurance commercial on the radio, it makes me want to have pie. The announcer says You need pie, You need Pie Insurance, etc. Reminded me to read this topic. :eat:

The easiest way to get rid off garlic(and onion!) smell from your hands is to rub fingers with toothpaste or mouthwash.

Actually I have found that if I cut the garlic first and then the onion it seems to leave the hands smelling ok that ordinary soap will do the rest. If anyone else wants to try this to validate, come back and tell us what the smell is like.

I forgot about this topic!

Ate: leftover fried chicken and two slices of whole grain toast.

Eating: nothing.  I'm posting on Shiachat, not eating.

Will eat: I don't remember what I had planned. Any suggestions?

What’s that? Never ate it in my whole life

Foccacia is a bread that is chewy and somewhat flat, but not as flat as pizza crust. It's made with regular European style dough,  but it has the extra step of poking holes in it,  then steaming it while baking.  It's good if you like bread with a lot of texture.

Provolone is cheese.  It's white and similar to mozzarella but stronger flavor. Mozzarella would probably work better for what I'm doing but that would require going to the grocery store.

I'm basically making an improved version of Papa John's cheesesticks.

Actually,  I mixed up my bread names.  I'm making ciabatta, not foccacia. Everything else still applies.

All week I worked late.  When I got home there was no food cooked and nobody had fed the small children.  I live in a household with three other adults.  I was intensely disappointed.

I wrote each day of the week on a piece of paper, and demanded that each adult in the house choose a day or two to cook supper. So far we have five of the next seven days covered. It's absolutely pathetic that I have to resort to assigning chores to adults but that's where we are.

Anyway, back to the topic:

Ate: Yesterday I cooked a salmon coconut curry with green beans.  It was delicious.

Eating: Right now I'm not eating anything.  I did have a cup of coffee with milk and a banana earlier today.

Will eat: I'm planning a lasagna-style pasta for tonight's supper, with extra wide egg noodles, spaghetti sauce, cheese, and sauteed peppers and onions.  I'll serve with salad.

And then I'm finished with all my cooking until next weekend, unless these irresponsible "men" disappoint me again.

If the other adults won't help you, consider "batch cooking" and freeze a lot of individual servings that they (or you) could take out and warm up, just letting them know how long to heat each portion.

Or casually let them know that you have been googling "Raw Food Recipes" and that salads might be an option.

Or I could just prepare food for myself and the small children when I get home,  since clearly they aren't hungry enough to expend any effort. We had all the things to make salad.  We even have frozen processed foods.  They have no excuse.

Yesterday was my birthday

Yesterday I ate mujadara, my mother fried a lot of onions because that’s how I love eating it. I ate it with yogurt. That was for lunch. For dinner my mother said she will invite us all for one of my favorite restaurants because it’s my birthday. I ate grilled chicken with Mtabbal, hummus, garlic sauce and French fries. I think I had diet cola as well. Ofc it won’t be completed without eating my favorite bread, puri fried bread.

Today for breakfast I had leftovers fatayer cheese, for lunch I had steak with rice, French fries and lentil soup. For dinner I had leftover chicken from my birthday with the leftover rice from lunch.

Today for lunch, I ate one of my favorite food, Shakriya (Arabic meat in yogurt sauce). I highly recommend all of you to try it, majority of brothers and sisters in here are not from levent or Arabs so I think majority of you didn’t try it. I ate shakriya with calrose rice cooked with ground beef and vermicelli. For dinner I had the leftovers.
