I hope you all are in the best of health and, most importantly, in the best of Imaan.

I have noticed that most of us are writing our examinations in this period and I thought if you all come to Shiachat, even during this time, then why not use Shiachat to do a bit of revision and help us rather than "just for fun". I know, its most probably, not the "coolest" idea because most of you might come to Shiachat to "let some steam off" after studying the whole day and, so, it would be torture if you even have to revise here but, still, I believe it can be helpful for you. Plus, if you are responsible enough to be studying, then there is no need for you to join and you can just "let off your steam" on Shiachat without getting involved in the academic work. :D

So, on this thread, we (Shiachat members) can ask the other members to help us revise any topic on any subject or to help us solve problems that you are finding extremely hard to do on your own. You can ask anything on any subject ranging from the science and mathematics to languages and humanities! As the cliche says, "anything goes"! :D

NOTE: this thread should not be used for asking others for help in doing your homeworks if your teacher does not allow you to take help from others. I, or the other members, can't know whether what you have posted is a homework or not so we will answer you but you should remember that this is a breach of the rules - both your teachers' and this thread's. So, since I can't regulate as to what you put is homework or not, I will leave it on your "moral deterrent" to stop you from doing the wrong thing.

I also think that those who are in the position to help should state what subjects they specialise in.

So for example, I'm doing a degree in Philosophy so if any of you need help with Philosophy or RE, then I can help out.

I am also good with English Literature and Film Studies.

Well, me I can help as far as Biology, Physics, (don't ask me even a word about Chemistry :mad: ) Accounting, Sociology, General Paper (basically writing essays and stuff) and Mathematics are concerned. I can, also, provide some Business Studies, Economics and Geography help to the lower classes like IGCSE (Grade 9-11 depending your country) and the like.

I tried makin a plan of what im gonna do in the day... and I didnt stick to it and still ended up doing the same routine ... which includes bare time wasting :(

Loool you dont undetstand how many times I was close to getting my paper riped in front of me. Once I want 30 min late to an exam I though it was some different timing then I get a phone call home ask where am at loool she goes if you dont make it in 15 mint then you cant take the exam...... Panic lool I made it 2 mints before hahah and all my mates knew it was me that was late hahaha.... Thats just one story hahah

I revise a week before the exam and sometimes on the same day....

Let me get one thing straight - there is NO advice for time-management.

Time-management is down to your own willpower and discipline. It is up to you to stick to your plan. I can give you all the advice in the world but it won't work unless you have the drive to do it.

You need to look towards the end-goal and look at the bigger picture. This will motivate you and make you become disciplined. Always remember and keep saying in your head - 'this will be over soon'. If you keep saying that in your head, this hell-period of revision and exams will become more bearable.

Staying awake all night long might not be good. During the exam your brain can be so tired that it might lock up and you forget everything. This is not too bad if your exam is multiple choice and you can recognize the correct answers. For essay exams, the words you want to use might not come to you, which is a disaster. Promise yourself to go to bed before midnight. Get some sleep and do a quick review after fajr salat. Praying for all of you.

Yeah, but I've lost hope, I keep on counting the page numbers I still have to study haha xD it's 2.15 here, going to sleep when it's 3.30 and then get up at 6 :P

Well, the answer seems to come to minus infinity. The thing is, you can use L'Hopitals Rule to differentiate the top and bottom wrt x to get: (4x^3/3x^2) = (4/3)x. And lim (x--> -infinity) (4/3)x is minus infinity. Of course, the answer should come to something prettier, like (4/3) only. Sorry I couldn't solve it.

the answer is as simple as x = minus infinity.

It seems no one has yet replied to my post about me asking question and neither has anyone posted their own question - except Enlightened_x (thank you for that! :D ) - and I am just guessing that, perhaps, asking a question would, maybe, kick start some sort of reaction.

Remember: my questions are not going to be easy; you are going to have to sweat for them! I ask to make you fail the questions and not so that you revise! :shaytan:

And, my first question is to the GCSE (Grade 9-11) Biology students about sweating (you will be sweating because of it).

"Explain why we sweat, what is the mechanism behind sweating and what function does it haveThis function is also carried out by other organs/parts of the bodies and I want you to name this function on a body level and, then, define it for me in exact words."

The last part is the tricky one and I know that the hint I have given is quite vague but, remember, my purpose is to make you sweat and this is, exactly, what this question do for you! :shaytan:

If the GCSE (Grade 9-11) do not answer in a 3 days, the A-level students can answer it. If they don't answer in 2 more days, I will give the answer and I hope that I will have someone reading it.
