Remember before the internet when if we wanted to talk each other across countries, we had to use pen, paper, envelopes and stamps? That was fun wasn't it? lol

I never had a penfriend, but I loved and still love letters.

When a letter came from our relatives everyone in the house would be so happy, looking around, reading the letters one by one and enjoying it. Stupid email screwed everything!

With letters came love and the message of loving and caring and that was truly beautiful. Good old days -_-

If you need pen-pal, can't you add someone on facebook?

When was it internet came? 94? ... Then i was 14.

I remember using Netscape Navigator to browse the internet.

There wasn't much to read on Internet. The first email account I had was on hotmail.

I was thinking about this the other day. I remember getting in trouble for passing and reading notes in school. I think the kids these days get in trouble for texting in school.

I entered high school just around the cell phone boom, so my freshman year still had written notes being used, as did my middle school years. And yeah, kids get in trouble for text messaging in class.

Good old days, and it was not really that old. Internet has squashed many things. Now my fingers hurt when I write something using a pen and paper. Trying not to kill my love affair with printed books, while pretty much most are available on amazon e-books.

Still write a lot in notebooks for my independent studies, but I haven't sent a regular letter in a long time. However, I still read printed books as PDF's just don't do the same thing for me. If I have no choice buy PDF yeah, but if I do, print book definitely.

That was kind of my point, I know a long time ago, schools had pen pal programs, but now they don't exist anymore. They didn't even have such programs when I entered high school. Nowadays, talking to someone in another country is no biggie. I can hop on image board and live chat with Palestinians or Japanese kids my age right now, where as about 20 years ago, it was a big deal to have regular conversations with people who were far off in other countries.

I think with letters came a greater guarantee of a slightly higher quality due to the fact that since it would be awhile before the letter reached a person and before they would send you a reply, you had make sure what you said counted for something and that everything was proofread well

The more the technology the lamer life is getting. Once upon a time people would call each other and talk and ask how they are; that was beutiful. Then came SMS technology and since it was cheaper ppl would sms instead. Relatives would gather around so much. I remember every now and then someone calling my dad and saying: Hi! How are you! Just called to ask how you are! They would talk for five minutes but god know how much thawab they would get for it!

Now, when my friend wants to greet me he miss calls!!!!! I mean i see that as an offence, because its like he's saying: Yeah i still remember who you are but i dont think your worth loosing a couple of cents by calling!

God knows how much lamer the future will become :(

You are right. I had access to computers on 14 but not access to e-mails. Personal reasons. There were email then too, but it is just my reasoning. I remember that one of my first exposures to internet was studying HTML through a site called davesite.com ... It was the best I found after searching alot. I learned nice stuff. Times.

Hello

Wikipedia:"The Internet was commercialized in 1995 ... Since the mid-1990s the Internet has had a drastic impact on culture and commerce"

I am rusty at mathematics, so I'll think a little.

Now it is 09:36. Hajime (start)!

...

Precision shall now increase: 2012 minus 1995 = 17 and by 1990 I was minus 5. ... I was about 14.

I am born 1987 (look at the number 987 falling down).

My skin care is, and this is a suprising question. Becaues my skin issue had never been relevant for me. Because I am not old enough to have this problem and I am kind of ascetic and have my diagnosis.

It is just that I am different. We are all different.

09:48 Jame (stop)!

:D

So just soap and water? I'd love to be able to get away with that but find it so drying.
