Just got back from my first BJJ session. Probably the hardest thing I have ever done. I got an armbar on my first lesson which im proud of!

well done, BJJ/MMA would be the "pinnacle" martial art - the ultimate martial art (apart from ninjitsu obviously). i have never got into it as im a bit uncomfortable with all that rubbing against another dude.

if you stick to it, you will be a mo-chine!

Yeah, well, i started grappling more and more and did bjj just for the technical aspect of it. I reached purple under c.gracie line. Then i went full time grappling.

There are some videos of me on youtube, won gold in norwegian open, and a couple of silvers here and there.

Also had 3 fights in finland 5-6 years ago, i'm married now, so i can't fight anymore.

Hei

Det er veldig fint at jeg møter noen Norske Shia Muslimer som deler min kamp interesse.

Jeg er en kampartist av beskjeden klasse.

Du påstår at du har trent det meste av ditt liv ... Det er beundringsverdig. Er du da født i Norge? Du må nesten være det.

Ah...Jeg bor I Oslo.

Osu!

I train as a powerlifter in the Ottawa region. I do some olympic lifts as well, but never had a coach or proper facility to really thrive in that sport.

muay thai

How long have you been training in muay thai? Have a friend that just joined, and am going to check it out this week, most likely will join but for around 4-6 months only, unless I find a place at were I will be moving to and continue it. Want to get some of the forms and techniques down, also the physical training aspect of it looks unique.

Did some Taekwondo a few years back. Didn't continue it though,

Trained in both the arts of WATAHHH

bruce_lee_watah.jpg

and WATERRR

Bruce lee has his own philosophy, his philosophy is like a spiritual journey, which makes it unique and different than those "physical, I want to crack someone's head" type of training.

What tripped me out was Chuck Norris trying to make it as though he was at Bruce lees level or even higher. "I was a professional fighter, he wasn't, but he was good".

on and off since i was 16 so thats around 12 years now bro. ill say this, its a "plateu" martial art. you get to a certain level of skill and you dont go any further unless you go to thailand to the fairtex camp or lumpini.

i would advise you to train muay thai and boxing simultaneously, it will be a hell of a combination, i found it to be the best pair to do at once
