wa alaykum salaam

If read a touching hadith in sheikh al Mufeeds 'al amali' today

5. The meaning of 'Al-Kawthar'

He said: Abul Hasan Ali b. Bilal al-Mahlabi, reported to me from Abu al-Abbas Ahmad b. al-Hasan al-Baghdadi, who reported from Muhammad b. Ismail, who reported from Muhammad b. al-Swalt, who reported from Abu Kudainah, from Ata, from Saeed b. Jubair, from Abdullah Ibn al-Abbas, who said:

When the verse: 'We have surely blessed you with abundance' (Kauthar-108:1) was revealed to the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, Ali b. Abi Talib, peace be upon him, asked him: "O messenger of Allah, what is al-Kauthar?" He said: "It is a stream with which Allah has honoured me." Then Ali, peace be upon him, said: "O messenger of Allah, describe for us this sacred stream." He said: "Yes, O Ali, al-Kauthar is a stream that flows under the Throne of Allah, Most High. Its water is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, softer than cream. Its pebbles are of aquamarine, ruby and coral. Its weeds are saffron, its dust is sweet smelling musk, and its basins are under the Throne of Allah, Most High!"

Then the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, struck his hand on Amirul Mo'mineen's side and said: "O Ali, this stream is for me and you, and for those who love you after I.

Jàbir reported that Abu Ja‘far (‘a) said, “Verily the Lord, the blessed and almighty, says, ‘Enter into heaven by my mercy, save yourselves from the Fire by my pardon and divide the heaven according to your deeds. By My glory! I will send you down in the everlasting and noble dwelling.’ When they enter it they will become like Adam with his height…, like Jesus, with the youth of thirty- three years, like Muhammad with the Arabic language, like Joseph, with a beautiful figure shining with light, and like Job, with a heart of purity from hatred.”

(Bihàr, 8, 218, 207)

O Jesus! His religion is upright (Hanífiyyah), and his qiblah is Yemenite, and he is of My party, and I am with him, so blessed be he, then blessed be him. The Kawthar is for him, and the greatest position in the gardens of Eden. He lives most honored of all who have ever lived, taken as a martyr, for whom is a fountain greater than the distance from Bakkah to the place of the rising of the sun, full of wine untouched, in which there are dishes like the constellations of the sky, and stars like the clouds of the earth, agreeable, in which is every sort of wine and the flavors of every fruit in the Garden. Whoever drinks a drink from it will never thirst.

(Kàfí, 8, 103)

Then the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, struck his hand on Amirul Mo'mineen's side and said: "O Ali, this stream is for me and you, and for those who love you after I have gone."

al-Mufeed, al-amali, assembly 35, hadith 5

“Ali ibn Abi Talib (MGB) was in the Jamea Mosque in Kufa. A man from Syria got up and asked him several questions amongst which was the following, ‘O Commander of the Faithful! What are the colors of the seven heavens and what are their names?’ The Imam (MGB) said, ‘The lowest heaven is called Rafi’a made of smoke and water. The second heaven is called Faydoom and it is the same color as copper. The third heaven is called Maroom and it is the same color as brass. The fourth heaven is called Arfoloon and it is the same color as silver. The fifth heaven is called Hayoon and it is the same color as gold. The sixth heaven is called Aroos and it is the same color as green chrysolite.(a certain green transparent gem is a well-known gem that is a kind of expensive gem similar to but more expensive than emerald, which is dark green.) The seventh heaven is called Ajma and it is the same color as a white pearl.’”

al-khisal: 7-11

God’s Prophet (MGB) said, “The Honourable the Exalted God created Paradise from two adobes: a golden adobe and a silver one. He created the walls from ruby; the ceiling from chrysolite; the pebbles from pearls; and its soil from saffron and a very good-smelling musk. Then God ordered it to speak. Hence Paradise said, ‘There is no god but You. You are the Everlasting the Eternal. He who enters me will surely be blessed.’ The Honourable the Exalted God then said, ‘I swear by My Glory and Majesty that the alcoholics; the haughty ones; the tale-bearers; the pimps; the detectives; the effeminate; those who steal the shroud from the corpse; the tithers; those who disregard their relatives; and the Qadarites.’”

al-khisal: 10-22

I will be along with God’s Prophet at the Heavenly Pool. My household and my grandsons will be with me. Whoever wants us should follow our sayings and deeds. There are good folks in every family for whom we shall intercede. We shall also intercede on behalf of those who love us.

Therefore you should compete with each other for seeing us at the Heavenly Pool. We shall block off our enemies from access to it and shall satiate our lovers with it.

Anyone who takes a sip of the Heavenly Pool’s water will never become thirsty. There are two Heavenly Creeks flowing into our Pool. One of them is called Tasnim and the other one is called Mo’een. There is saffron dirt on the side of the Pool with pearls and rubies as pebbles. This Pool is called Al-Kauthar.

al-khisal : 27 :9

He will forgive you your sins and admit you into gardens underneath which rivers flow, and to dwelling-places goodly in Gardens of Eden; that is the mighty triumph; (61:12)

*Regarding the interpretation of مسكن طيبة shaykh Abbas al-Qummi says: it is related from the Holy Prophet (s) that there is a place in paradise made of pearls, which has seventy houses of red yaqoot. And in every house are seventy green emeralds. And in each room there are seventy thrones on which are spread seventy carpets, and on each carpet will be seated hoor ul een, and in each room there will be seventy types of delicious dishes, and in each room there will be one servant (male and female). Allah will give strength to a believer so much that he will be able to derive pleasure from all hoories and digest each type of dishes, this is a great blessing of the hoories.

manazil al-akherah, p.198

Describing the events of messengers (a.s.) Amirul Mo-mineen (a.s.) says in one of his speeches in Nahjul Balagha: In Paradise Prophet Dawood will entertain its inhabitants with his pleasant voice, and will be a reciter of Paradise.

It means that he will make the people of paradise hear his recitations. Of course it will be a melodious song of paradise and those in paradise will have the ability to hear it.

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) is reported to have been quoted in Majmaul Bayan: The best of the songs of paradise will be those sung by the houries for pleasing their husbands. Their voice will be so wonderfully pleasing that none before would have ever heard like it. It will not be in the tune of musical instruments but would be based on the glorification and praising of the Lord of the universe, Only One God.
