(salam)

Now that Ramadan has ended , I have to think about what to eat for lunch time in school .

And so I don't feel like bringing Qeema or kebab to school , I need something quick to cook and very healthy .

Any recipes ,please :) ?

I always take stuff from last nights dinner like wara enab, kafta etc because I can heat them up at school. But if I don't have time for that, I make wraps or a sandwich the night before and put it in the fridge so it's all good for the next morning. I don't take salad lol, tis a waste of time and a waste of tastebuds  I always have fruit after lunch, so maybe cut up some fresh fruit too :)

The wrap is pretty straight forward, you can have anything on it. I usually make mine with lettuce, fetta cheese, sundried tomatoes, shredded carrot, avacado, roasted capsicum and spanish onion.

Edit: more ideas. Get some lebanese bread, mix zaatar (oregano) with a little bit of olive oil. Spread that on the bread and cut up some white cheese to put on it as well.

I recommend this persian potato salad, it is delicious. I forgot the name i think its olivayar or something. It has potatoes, eggs, carrots, peas, chicken and pickles all chopped finely and mixed together with mayo. I usually eat it with bread. You should try it :)

I'm pretty sure Iraqis eat it as well, you haven't seen Iraqis eating it?

First : Ghormeh Sabzi .. pour it in the container .. take it with you and heat it up and eat it.

Don't buy food from outside, you'd be wasting your money. If my mum makes oloviyeh or kotlet I take that, otherwise I make myself a cheese sandwich. Get yourself those sliced chedder cheese, add tomatos and cucumbers to it, add it to brown toast and you're done. Other days you can take a tuna, sweetcorn and mayo sandwich . Also, you can boil eggs the night before and make yourself an egg sandwich. The possibilities are endless!!

I totally agree.. if the cafeteria's food good then GO FOR it, but usually food SUCKS at skols! (well the ones I went 2 :o )

lool I HATE the slice sandwiches *astagfurallah* but I reached to a point where I can't eat any more of em! :P

How abt.. bagels and cream cheese? egg sandwiches? mac n cheese? :D

I've never had peanut butter and jelly.... :Hijabi:

Apart from the fact that we call 'jelly', 'jam'; I think I've only had peanut butter once?

Tbh, I don't think I'm missing out on that much?

(I live in England :P )
