Think About The Hungry.

Eid Mubarak !

Another shahr ramadan has come and gone, (or has for most people anyway) and in this month many of us "felt" the hunger and the pain those go through on a daily basis, however we still do not understand the real pain they are going through.

I do not say this to boast and Allah (swt) knows, this month I ended up not eating anything at all when it was time for iftar, and by the time I went to eat/drink fajr had already started.

That day my stomach hurt so much, and my mouth went dry, and I thought to myself, I am going without food or dink for around 50 hours or so, what about those who are going without food for weeks or months and the only water they have is some dirty water which tastes disgusting and they can catch illnesses from it.

Alhamdullilah I ended up not eating that night, because it opened up my eyes and I realised that you cannot even imagine the pain of the people who are starving by fasting one day, I cannot even imagine the pain they are going through and I went without food and drink for around 50 hours.

Be grateful for the food you have, and the drink you have and dont forget to thank Allah سبحانه وتعالى, because even that glass of water or that small sandwich is a blessing.

Please make dua for those around the world who do not have the privilege of eating and drinking.

and I say privilege because it really is, you may find it ordinary but for many out there, they would give everything they could for a proper drink or meal.

May Allah (swt) accept your prayers, duas, fasts and good deeds inshaAllah
