i get very little :( very very little.. like 1000-1500rs.. because all my relatives give me like 100rs each :P and then my mum takes it away from me saying

"give that money to me at once :angry: .. i have to give eidi to other kids like the parents of others have given eidi to you.. "

I get eidi from my grandparents, unless I'm back home where I get eidi from my aunts...usually it's £50 from my gran and £20 from my granddad...in return all that money goes back to my mum LOL

have been giving eidi as well , ever since i started working. but i don't have to give much away, as i m among the youngest from both my maternal and paternal sides

Well by reading all your posts even I am feeling scary that this time I have to give eidi to my cousins as I turn to 18 this year.

It makes me understood now to not have any expectations of incoming where I think this time its going to be outgoing lol.

Our family was too poor to get/give eidi, which we call 'eediyyeh'.

Its nothing like brother every1 has their time in which he or they are being tested by Allah

Well when you hug you can whisper to them to give you an eidi before you break their neck :)
