Debates/arguments Becoming Insulting

I have noticed on alot of the forums that people start off with asking a question, this leads to a debate which leads to arguing and then leads to insulting one another.

Whether it is about WF or Shirazi or Marriage or Azadari or Syria or Iran or Taqleed etc..

There is nothing wrong with someone asking a question, and I don't see anything wrong with putting forward your views, but why is it that everywhere on this forum people put forward their views and then throw a couple insults at the other person whilst they are at it? What are you trying to achieve by insulting others?

Even if in the end they accepted y'our views and found them to be correct and admit they made a mistake did you bring them to accept your views in a good way? I dont recall the prophet (pbuh) insulting someone who didn't accept Islam nauthobillah

Just because someones views are different to yours it doesn't give you a right to insult them.

Lol the stuff they say on here about some Marja's are ridiculous. Who the hell are they for them to talk about ANY scholar.

Last time I checked it wasn't haraam to question the motive/reasoning of ANY non-Masoom nor have I read on this forum anyone writing in the above manner about a fatwa given by a scholar.

Yea, its part of the reason a lot of people avoid the politics section. Theres really no interest in talking about things when someone is going to start making vulgar comments about it.

During the times of the Aimmah, most people rejected their rule.

Now... I would like to know what this "taqleed to Imam Mahdi" gang thinks when they say that they are followers of the Imam.

How sure are they, truly, that they will be followers of the Imam?

Do they have any experience in obeying a command that goes against their personal inclinations and tastes? Or are they give off more of a "I'm 2 cool 4 skool" vibe?

doing taqleed, to a scholar, is not, the same, as doing, taqleed, to an imam.

And the Imam is in absence, which means it doesn't take the least bit of militancy, devotion, or loyalty to claim to be one of his followers. All it takes is self-righteousness and contempt for others, which your clan has plenty of.

It's the moderators' responsibility to do something about all these insults. It's getting quite bad on this forum. Even this thread has people sending insults to others. The forum really needs a clean up.

I agree with Shia_Debator an Kamran. We are shia and we supposed to have high standards. I have to say in my opinion this site has hit it's lowest point since its launch. I have never see so many hate filled and abusive posts in all the years that I have been a member. In the past some moderators used to actually warn and ban shias for being abusive. It's about time that they started doing it again.

When someone visits this forum they associate the akhlaq of the individuals with their religion. Right now the forum has the potential to push people away from the religion. When shias visit the forum, they come to gain knowledge and to be inspired. They don't come to become disillusioned by aggressive and abusive people who are supposed to be religious people.

It's time to sort things out.

I respect the person who started this thread and those who have supported him. They are speaking out when others are silent. May Allah reward them.
