I was watching an Iranian serial on Prophet Yusuf (pbuh) when in one scene the prophet is asked by a previous prophet: "How many fingers and knuckles are in each hand?" The prophet replies: "5 fingers and 14 knuckles". Now I know that this obviously has Shia influence since if this was a sunni drama they would NEVER mention this. So I am wondering if this is a reference to the Panjatan Panch and the 14 Masoomeen??

Its quite interesting either way. Our hands which we use for dua also remind us of these wonderful Ahlul Bayt. Allah Humma Salay ala Muhammadin WA ale Muhammad.

I think you are quite right, in Sunni drama it would never be shown (due to the media control over the people's minds) but it is good that you caught that and it shows that even the smallest things have bigger meanings. If that makes sense.
