Which Type of Food is the Best?

Lets settle this once and for all !!!

Which type of food is the best, vote for your favourite, comment on why that is the best type of food and If I have not listed the country you want to pick then put it in your comment :D

(Please avoid putting pictures of food as it is Shahr Ramadhaan and I don't want people getting hungry if in their country they are fasting)

I voted Indian, but as a single food item freshly baked bread, in any country, is pretty unbeatable.

As compared to... styrofoam? Don't get me wrong, Iranian food can be alright and all, I'm not saying it turns my stomach or what have you, but I'd hardly say it's "rich in flavour", especially if you put it next to the like of the food out of India and Pakistan.

Food which is too spicy loses its original flavour. You'll just be tasting spices! Iranian food is simply on the top as it's flavoursome... you get different types of spices used in different parts of Iran. This is then then followed by Lebanese and Turkish food :D

Plus, we know how to cook our rice properly....

perhaps that is true, but in the average iranian restaurant, they don't seem to use a wide variety of spices. don't get me wrong, the food is still great, in terms of starters and main courses, but there just doesn't seem to be enough variety.

Pakistani food has that variety, and tastes really good, the problem with it is, if it is a cow-boy making the food, because of all the spices, it can often launch a full scale assault on your digestive system, also very often in the not so good places, they put way too much oil in the food, i swear often its like having a rainbow on your plate. but when its done well, it is the best (though of course if you like that kind of thing)

turkish food is very nice, i'm supirsed it isn't on the list, it is maybe the best food i've ever had, and i haven't even been to turkey.

I think people on SC -- especially Iraqis and Pakis -- have far too much food nationalism.

Way too much misplaced pride.

In any case, all food -- as long as its halal -- is good.

In any case.. I have a special attachment to Iranian food because that is what I am most used to, and I have a special attachment to Lebanese food because of my special attachment to Lebanese people.

I voted Lebanese. As bland as everyone may think our food is, nothing will ever beat mum's wara2 3enab .. ever

But all those foods are beautiful, each different in their own ways and I don't hate any of them (can't say I've had Jamaican, though :donno:). If I had to pick second, I would go for Iranian food.
