Internet Pics ? Help

Do you think it is haram for womens to post pictures of themselves on facebook..or should i say internet ?? Even if they are pics with u and family ??

The same way women act outside of there house where all non mahram can see them is the same way they should act online because there is no difference, even if people put profiles on private you never know if something may happen and that image may be shown.

Im not going to say its haram incase its not but in my opinion its better for them not to. (likewise with men showing their six pacs or w/e on the internet)

SD is bang on, just because your behind a screen doesnt mean you lose your social hijab, In fact you should enhance it because there is wayy more chance your being seen on the internet than in real life.

Sharing pictures of yourself taken with your family are all right I suppose as long as the only people viewing them are your family, not complete strangers.

I hate the practice of tagging photos on FB which makes it totally beyond your control as to where your photos end up and who sees them.

That's why I mentioned that i personally share my pictures only with family - You could edit the privacy settings in a way that would make it impossible for people you don't want to view them from viewing them - unless of course there are 'leaks' from within your family, which is a totally different story. :cry:

NOP.. just make sure u do ur privacy settings right so random ppl don't get an access to em

u know u can disable tagging in ur privacy settings, and u can limit tagged pix to be only seen by u..
