Latest Shalwar Kameez Style

What do you think of the latest style of shalwar kameezes-- long kurtas, huge sleeves? Personally, I'm not a fan. I think they only look good on females who are tall with long legs, it doesn't do any favors for shorter/average people. The yards of cloth look horrible on skinny people, in my opinion. Thoughts?

I really like the long kameez, it looks really graceful. I'm not a fan of the big sleeves either, but if you're going to get a suit tailored (which most people do) you can specify that you want normal sleeves.

I'm not particularly tall and I have a petite frame, but so long as the clothes fit properly ( I don't mean skin-tight btw) I think they can create the illusion of making a girl look taller!

I think they make women look very elegant and graceful. This style is much nicer than the short kameez with flappy shalwaar!

I like them..easier to to wuzu with huge sleeves and long kurtis are graceful and help in maintaining hijab.

However it goes with long ppl as mentioned earlier.

Yep, they are good for hijab.

Not too fond of the 3 inches too short pants, though. Don't know what that's all about!!

To be honest, I am not a big fan. Maybe because I can't take care of my clothes too well and the dopatta and the kameez is flying all over the place. Although because it's lose, it goes perfect with hijaab :D.

I think the new style of salwar kameez's look really elegant! I'm not that tall either and they don't look out of place, and they are soooo hijab friendly .. Depends which style u go for but as a whole they are way better than short kameez's.. X

Neither am I! Methinks the yards of cloth don't do much for the voluptuously inclined either! -_-

I love it! I hope it sticks around for a while. I agree with the flared sleeves part though, not a big fan of that. Lately they've been coming out with more fitted sleeves, like churidaar types, I like those. But for the kameez, I say the longer the kurta, the better!
