This thread is heading for trouble.

Guys, can we please have some Shia-Shia Unity?

u mean unity among shiane mujtahid -and- Shia imamiya ithna ashari.

Even after having power u still allowed people being called imamokal Bashar, masoom, naib imam and what not. May Allah azwj not forgive you all for this.

Ya Ali Madad

Mawla Muhammad Mahdi an-Naraqi [d.1209 h qamari] [Famous for Jami al-Saadat], but an interesting tidbit about him was that he was fluent in [apart from Arabic and Farsi] but also in Hebrew and Latin.

Studied under Shaykh Wahid al-Bihbahani and Shayk Yusuf al-Bahrani

Mawla Ahmad bin Muhammad Mahdi an-Naraqi

The son of the above mentioned [d.1245 h qamari] [Famous fror Mustanad al-Shia and Awaid al-Ayyam] reached level of Ijtihad at 15, but to show that scholars had more in mind than gaining Ilm, but actually used to apply it, was when he [foremostly] and Sayyid Muhammad Mujahid and Sayyid Nasrallah Istarabadi and Sayyid Muhammad Taqi Qazwini declared Jihad against the Russian invaders to Iran in 1219 h. AND 1228 h., and participated in it.

Studied under Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi Bahrul-Uluum and Sahykh Jafar Kashif al-Ghita in Najaf

Then Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi Shahristani and Sayyid Ali Tabatabai in Karbala

And he returned to Kashan where he achieved Marjaiyyah and the greatest proof for this is that Shaykh Murtadha Ansari came from Iraq to this village to get benefited from him.

His seal

Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Kamal al-Haidari (Najafi scholar)

Ayatollah Javadi Amoli and Sayyed Kamal sharing a laugh:

For those interested in knowing a little more about G.A Sayyid Kamal al-Haydari:

A Short Biography of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Kamāl 'al-Ḥaydarῑ (May Allah -swt- prolong his life)

Sayyed Kamāl al-Ḥaydarῑ was born in the holy city of Karbalā' in the year 1956. He was raised in an educational environment, and completed his elementary, middle and high school education in Karbalā' while simultaneously attending lessons on Tajwῑd[1] and studies of the Holy Qur'an under Mulla Jāsem al-Ḥumayrῑ. He was a distinct student and preferred over his peers by his teacher. As a result, he would substitute for his teacher at the time of his absence. His interest in Ḥawza studies began in Karbalā' where he completed the introductory levels (muqaddimāt) under Shaykh Ḥusayn 'al-'uthyān and Shaykh 'Ali 'al-'uthyān. He then moved to the holy city of Najaf to pursue his academic and religious studies. He completed his academic studies in the Faculty of Jurisprudence earning a Bachelor of Islamic Studies in the year 1987. Along with his academic studies, his love and passion for Hawza studies drove him to complete the level of ṣuṭuḥ 'al-'āliyah under the following teachers:

1) The martyr Ayatollah 'abdel Ṣaḥeb 'al-Ḥakῑm.

2) Ayatollah Shaykh Bashῑr 'al-Najafῑ.

As for his teachers under whom he studied Baḥth 'al-Khārej, they are the following:

1) Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muḥammad Bāqir 'al-Ṣadr.

2) Grand Ayatollah Sayyed 'Abul-Qāsim 'al-Mousawῑ 'al-Khu'ῑ.

3) His Eminence Sayyed Muḥammad Taqῑ 'al-Ḥakῑm.

4) His Eminence Ayatollah Shaykh Mῑrza 'Alῑ 'al-Gharawῑ.

5) His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyed Nasrullah 'al-Mustanbt.

It has been said that when Ayatollah Sayyed Kamāl al-Ḥaydarῑ attended the Baḥth 'al-Khārej lessons of Ayatollah Sayyed Muḥammad Bāqir 'al-Ṣadr, he - S. Kamāl - was not wearing a turban and it was then when Sayyed 'al-Ṣadr requested from him to wear the turban so that his attendance becomes formal.

This is in regards to his study of jurisprudence (ʾal-fiqh) and the principle of jurisprudence (ʾusul ʾal-fiqh.) As for his philosophical and theological interests, he attempted to nourish them by attending the lessons of Sayyed Muslim ʾal-Ḥellī and Sheikh ʿAbbas ʾal-Qochānī[2].

When the situation in Najaf worsened and the grip on the scholars intensified, Sayyed Kamāl departed from Najaf and went to Kuwait. After a short while, he finally settled in the holy city of Qum which is considered to be the center of the Ḥawza's in Iran and the center of jurisprudence, knowledge and gnosis.

From the beginning of the year 1983, Sayyed Kamāl pursued his Ḥawza studies on all levels. He attended Ayatollah ʾal-ʿUthma Sheikh Waḥīd ʾal-Khorāsānī's lectures from the beginning of the subject of qatʿ and until the end of the course on ʾUsul (principles of Islamic jurisprudence). He also attended the entire study of the subject of "ṣalāt" in the jurisprudential field under Ayatollah ʾal-ʿUthma Sheikh Waḥīd ʾal-Khorāsānī's for six years. He also attended the lessons of Ayaotllah ʾal-ʿUthma Sheikh Mīrzā Jawād Tabrīzī for two years.

In addition to studying under these two scholars, he also attended Baḥth Khārij in the book of ʾal-makāsib under Sheikh Mourtadha ʾal-Ḥāʾerī, the son of Sheikh ʿAbdulKarīm ʾal-Hāʾerī (the founder of the Islamic Seminary in the holy city of Qum).

As for the philosophical and gnosis ('irfan) arena, he pursued his educational journey by attending the lessons of a group of the most profound and prominent scholars such as his eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Jawādi ʾAmolī (dt) and his eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Ḥassan Zāda ʾAmolī (dt). He also benefited from attending the lessons and lectures of Ayatollah Mesbāḥ Yazdī (dt).

When the Ḥawza witnessed his extensive and comprehensive interests in all the scientific fields, it requested him to take the responsibility of teaching and lecturing whereby he responded and accept the request with all respect. Hence he began giving lectures and lessons which are the following:

[4] This book has been translated into English under the title "The Bezels of Wisdom."

Note: He just recently declared his marja'iyyah, his ijtehad is not only limited to fiqh as we see in many other maraja', but in philosophy and so on, he is well rounded in every subject, something we lack in today's world of scholars, not many have held this trait throughout history... The hawza students, along with the course work they study at the hawza, refer to his online lectures after their classes with other teachers so that they have a better grip on the subject they are studying.
