What are your favorites ?

I'm almost out, gotta get something new and different, there are no malls or shops where I'm at right now so I'm not gonna be able to sniff around, have no choice but to order online I guess, so give me ideas...

My personal favourite:

- Polo (The original dark green one)

You got to love the old stuff, almost all of them smell great and different from one another, the new stuff they're making are just too sweet. Disgusting...

Dunno why, I'm even starting to lean on pure orientals these days, but a bit too heavy and suffocating to many around me, especially Agarwood, in the heat that stuff really smells like camel urine... They have their time...

Women always smell good in Miss Dior Cherie, always my gift choice...

I bought this one in december, a bit expensive, but still got half left, so good value for money, nice smell, plus not too many people seem to use it, unlike jean paul gaultier (blue one shaped like a man) that everyone seems to use.

I haven't really had good experiences with attar, i found one that was nice, but the odour was weak and didn't last long, a couple of others that were really not nice, and if anything offended the people around me, I think it's more impotant to spend money on what you smell like, rather than on what you wear.

I'm so sick of seeing that one man, and "Aqua Di Gio" as well... But yeah "Fahrenheit" sounds good... Almost forgot about that brand actually...

One Million or Chanel Blue

Dunno why I didn't like the "One Million", but well, to each their taste... But "Channel Blue", yah wow you reminded me... Not bad....

Haven't smelled "Lola" yet, sounds like a girl perfume, but I'm curious to know... And Bvlgari, the one in the pic below, wow this is one of my favorites, it's sweet, which is not usually my taste, but it's really unique... One of the best, truly... I gotta smell "Omnia", seems really good... Love Bvlgari's fumes...

My mom's favourtie: The good old Coco Chanel. She's been wearing it before I was born. It's many years since!

Fahrenheit is one of the classics. I used to call it the cucumber perfume :) But it has the tendency of making you and others sick if used on a regular basis. So I prefer wearing it on special occassions.

Dunhill Red is my signature P. The fragrance is divine. I don't think i'd ever get sick of it.

Indeed. I had it with me for some time.

You didn't specify which Dunhill Red, though. I had both :P

lola is for women :) As is the bvlagari I listed.

Acqua di Gioia Giorgio Armani

Light blue by Dolce & Gabbana

Bright Crystal by Verasce

are all nice too

Gotta say, Nordstorm/ Sepora are the best places to buy perfume because they give you samples if you need time to think about it or if you want to try it out on your skin. And they return if you accidentally get the wrong perfume.

Ahhh... Just remembered these:

post-42979-0-22202200-1311436353_thumb.j

A very flowery yet manly smell...

And of course post-42979-0-77044800-1311436367_thumb.j Extremely fresh...

Two non-dying classics...

Take a look at THIS guys. You click on the note, gives you all the perfumes that contain it...

I use this one more regularly, it’s quite nice, not too overpowering

English version of Dunhill cigiz (red or blue) are rough on the throat and kinda disgusting to be honest. The Aussie Dunhill (blue) is surely expensive but awsomely smooth and (hopefully) halal ! :P

I just don't like anything too overpowering, my kid brother uses 'axe' or 'lynx' (depending on which country you live in)

They are not nice, though i admit, for alittle while i used the africa one

I love Oudh as well, my number 1 for the past recent years, but it's a bit of a problem in the summer time... For girls, I hate it, it's a bit too heavy no ? Well depends maybe, some who have been mixed with flowery scents and Bakhoor and whatnot... Wow you just reminded me of a Perfume I had that had Vanilla mixed with a tint of Oudh... Yumm... @)

When i buy fragrance for my house i often go for vanilla as it smells nice, but can a man get away with wearing it? I asked a couple of people, and they all said only a certain type of person would wear that, so i didn't bother.

Well oriental perfume are mostly unisex... But well of course it also depends on the amount of "floweriness or sweetness" or the after-notes in a perfume... Like let's say the vanilla one I was talking about, when I first put it on, yeah too flowery, but after an hour and during the day, it turns into a kind of woody smell with Oudh, and there's no where I go that people don't ask me "Wow, what are you wearing?"... Heck I even finally gave it to my cousin coz he was bothering me so much that he wanted it...

There's this female "Narcisso Rodrigues" I used to spray on my jacket or clothes only, just because of the after-scent, in the beginning yeah too girly, but a bit later, it turns into a great unfamiliar smell...

Which YSL, the brown one ? And Aqua di gio... I'm soooo sick of that one  , it used to be one of my favorites, but EVERYBODY has it as a table perfume nowadays... I can smell and tell it 's the one worn from miles away... I love perfumes that stand out, which are the old classics because they're not worn so much these days...

But good girl perfume choices, Hollywood & Cinema especially, not bad... Coco Chanel, Mademoiselle is a Woman's perfume, not a girl's, great choice...

By the way guys, has anyone seen the movie "Perfume" ? About the gifted boy who murders girl then makes a "divine" perfume out of them ? Good one...

@ Naz_:

"Touch of pink" is sweet, not bad... Only a few days ago actually was when I smelt it on someone... Even for men's perfume, I think there is NO Lacoste that doesn't smell good except that new collection that comes in 3 colors, they're very lame and were just made to compete with the new "various colors" set of Polo... Dunno if you can figure out which ones I mean...

@ Afghanbaby:

I never knew there was a "Lady Million", is that by Pacco Rabane too? Or something else ? What does it smell like ?
