Please Help Me

Salam all,

i need help i live in America, am a Muslim teenager that is trying to do good in life, but its so hard while your living here, everyday i cry to Allah to forgive me cause i kno what i do is wrong but the next day i do the same thing and more, i feel so depressed and alone, all my friends (MOSTLY MUSLIM Supposedly) are all people that do haram even the ones close to me. I try so hard to stay away from sins , even when i do i am so depressed cause i dont feel close to Allah, i did drugs to keep me happy i stayed away from bad people and felt like a better muslim knoing what i was doing was wrong. Am making money doing illegal things i kno i should stop. wallah am a smart guy but when i look around, and the world is full of sin and most teenages, acutally everyone i know these days are idiots, i feel so depressed and alone i cant stand it.. Even the person i kno that was a good shia, stopped doing haram, has turned to it and is living a life of sin. Someone help me please.. i cant keep living like this. Everyone adults, friends, family are all sinful and theres no way to get away am in the house the whole day already cause i dont want to go back to sins, i feel depressed its not good.. theirs no mosque around here , the only one is a messed up mosque that people go just to eat, Christians *MUSLIMS* anyone, they go and play games, even do things with girls right in front of the mosque while barely anyone prays, gamblers go anyone. help please..

You are still young. Take advantage of your youth and turn to Allah, do a little thing like read the Quran every day or recite a dua or make sure that before you go to sleep you do an evaluation of all the good and bad things you did and improve. Take it one step at a time and I promise you will see improvement.

Brother first, you should that Allah(swt) that you realize that that kind of life is stupid, destructive, and is not the way to go.

Secondly, you should cut off all contacts you have with people who take you away from Allah. This is an advice that worked wonders for myself and many others who were in your position. Delete them from your phone, from your Facebook, and try to avoid them at all costs. These people are calling you to hellfire while Allah(swt) is calling you to Heaven and to His Forgiveness.

Thirdly, you have to stop making money from doing illegal things. i know this is really personal, so if you want, i can give you my email and we can talk about this privately insha'Allah.

Fourthly, brother you'll find that there are actually many good righteous people around you. The more and more you get closer to Allahسبحانه وتعالى, the more apparent these people will be. But even if you are alone, remember that Prophet Noah (pbuh) called his people to Islam for hundreds of years, yet most people rejected him. And you find this with most of the Prophets in the Quran. There were very very few believers.

Finally brother, i urge you to keep this verse in mind:

وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ {69}

[29:69] And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them to Our ways; and Allah is most surely with the doers of good.

A person isn't going to become a Mu'min over night. It takes time, but the important thing is that you make the effort and Allah(swt) is the Most Forgiving.

Also, i recommend that you read more of the Quran and listen to it. There are many benefits in this. And keep up your prayers and spend your time doing good works and learning more about Islam.

So basically:

1) Stay away from any bad influence

2) Occupy yourself with getting closer to AllahÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì

That sounds like a very difficult situation you're trapped yourself in.

I don't know what to say. Assuming everything you say is true, that's pretty tough to get out of (considering if 99% of those people are like that).

I don't know, all I can say is, given that all these problems surround all our brothers in the states, the best thing to do is keep yourself DISTRACTED.

You can do this via religious studies, reading books, etc.

Or you can find additional hobbies and activities to compliment that like exercise, maybe gather a group of guys that like sports and play something, watch a movie once in awhile.

I don't know, pretty much all the other activities outside of sex, drinking, drugs, gambling, etc. etc.

and then in 6 months time, become a secret super hero and start beating some sense into all these sinners lollll

seriously bro its life, plain and simple, if you were in Najaf, or Mecca, or Washington or Ibiza you are going to see sin, just different types

just learn how to cope, and you should be fine bro, when your old enough move out and start a new life

until then, you gotta crawl before you walk

He can't just up and move he is a teenager and still dependent on his parents. (BTW sorry for trespassing :angel: ). I think he should just surround himself in studying school and religious books and become a loner. Then when he gets an education he can move away.

where do u live? I would like to comment a bit differently. Whats your age bro? Further, you need to keep yourself busy. Thats how you avoid sins. My recommendations - Read read and read. Islamic history, books, articles. and is there any possibility of doing any community service nearby? any kind of social work. Believe me, if you start helping people around, and understand their agony and try to help them, you automatically establish a connection with Allah. Once your heart gets attached to the concept of giving and helping, religion automatically comes to meaning. Reading books (Islamic or general current affairs, history etc) gives you more perspectives to think on.

The change will be gradual, but yet it will be transformational.

I would also add lack of parent education, and addiction to prescription drugs (because you can get them at the pharmacy, so it must be halal).
