salams girlies;

Hope everything is well. I am writing an article titled "Hijab inspiration" and it is targetting teenagers. SO please provide me with useful input. Jazakum Allah khier. Brothers welcome to add useful resources.

What has inspired you to wearing the hijab?

Who is the role model to look up to and who gives the best example to do so?

Any inspirational stories girls...?

Salamss :D

My inspiration is Bibi Zainab (as) the way she covered her face with her long hair because they took away her hijab really makes me value and think about how lucky i am to have a beautiful blessing like my hijab! The biggest motivation for me though, is when i see how differently someone who is not wearing hijab and someone who is wearing hijab are treated in terms of respect. In general my role models are those women who maintain the proper hijab; decent clothing, right hijab, good ahlaq and in general modest in their ways.

There's no proof (or any credible source at all) which says that Bibi Zainab(as) covered her(as) face with her hair when her veil was snatched. It doesn't make sense from fiqh point of view either since covering hair is wajib while covering face is mustahab so why would she(as) then cover her face but bring more attention to her hair when her(as) veil was snatched?

Besides, since most shia women accept that Bibi Zainab used to cover her face as well (as the quoted post shows that even those without knowledge do believe, due to the cited urban legend, that she(as) would cover her face), then why do they all consider it below their dignity to then wear full niqab and stay covered from head to toe?!

i totally agree,, Sayeda Zeinab a.s is one one of the greatest role model for Hijab,, u should right that hijab is not only physical but social,, like the way sayeda zeinab gave her speech in ashura,, and that the Quran wrote about hijab for men before women,, so they can lower there gaze

Is it just me or do you always pick on me?! Anyways iv heard this like every muhurram in Majalis' & I didn't think i was the only one that knew about this! If I'm wrong then may God forgive me and i do apologise. It does make sense to me; She (as) covered her face with her hair because she didn't want people to see it was her. Someone who always maintained their hijab etc. and then all of a sudden no hijab. Hmm, like i said if I'm wrong, i apologise.

Wsalam.

(bismillah)

(salam)

My inspiration is the bright and beautiful Bibi Fatima a.s. . Reading her sayings and her biography my curiosity grew. I asked myself that if such an amazing woman, possessing all the blessings of this world and the hereafter, covered herself and was humble towards Allah (SWT), and what right do we women have to show off our incomplete beauty.

Besides I had noticed men looking at women and that itself made me very uncomfortable. Soon enough, I realized without Hijab it's just physical beauty, which fades away with time, with Hijab it's both external and internal beauty. Lol, with Hijab it's beauty with brains (girls wearing scarves do look adorable don't they? :lol:) . So that is what basically made me want to observe Hijab.

Hope this helps .

Hmmmm

from a young age I was always praying next to mum and listening to her stories about Allah swt. She said if you love Allah as a muslim woman, the best thing is to wear Hijab... so i did :) Also it creates a modest image for us women and portrays to everyone our love for Allah swt.

good luck!
