Assalamu'Alaykum wr wb,

I would like to request your help in composing a list of reading materials that addresses (almost) every aspect of Islam (primary) and in particular Shia Madhab (secondary). I have studied bits and pieces here and there about different topics on Islam; however, I wish to undertake a more systematic, thorough and rigorous approach. I am certain, here on shiachat.com, there are very knowledgeable members lurking around and I hope you can aid me in this task.

I am a PhD student in theoretical physics with background in pure mathematics: I appreciate clarity and logic. I do not enjoy reading texts which are (simply) emotional rants. The work of authors I have enjoyed reading are Shahid Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr and Shahid Morteza Motahhari. I have not mentioned anyone else because, unfortunately, I do not know many other authors, or I have not read enough of their work to have an opinion.

I would like to form a list of texts that I can read (preferably in some particular order) that help me learn more about Islam and Shia Madhab.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kazak'Allah Khairan,

Mohammad

P.S. I should confess that I have not bothered searching the forums to see whether something like this has already been done. Please forgive me for this.
