Assalamu alaikum Ya Ali (asws) Madad

With the help and blessings of Masoomeen (asws) we have been able to share the english translation of Tawheed al Muffadhal.

Tawheed al Muffadhal is a brief account of the teachings of Imam Jafar Sadiq (asws) as narrated by Muffahdal ibn Omar who was a companion of Imam Jafar Sadiq (Asws).

Muffadhal asks the Imam (asws) regarding all aspects of life. Questions such as does Allah exist, why is there day and night. why is man made the way he is, why are the animals made as they are, what is the purpose of tears, saliva, teeth, beard, etc. This is a very brief but very comprehensive book covering many aspects of life and answering many questions that we all ask ourselves such as "why do bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people". This is a must read book for every person regardless of what "sect" you label yourself with. You can read online or download a PDF version.

Please remember us in your prayers and duas.

Wa Aleikumus Salam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Barak Allâhu Fikum, is this book Sahih ?

What is the Isnad of all the ahadith ?

This whole book is extremely Da'eef (Weak) the person who the book is named after is al-Mufaddal ibn 'Umar and he is very weak.

This whole book is weak because it is being narrated through him.

Below is what Ibn Ghadaairee says about him in his book Kitaab al-Du'afa (Book of Weak Narrators)

2 – al-Mufaddal b. `Umar, al-Ju`fi, Abu `Abdillah. Weak, collapsed, a proponent of irtifa` in doctrine, Khattabi. Many things have been added (i.e. attributed) upon him, and his hadith carry a great amount of weight with the ghulat (exaggerators). It is not permissible to write his hadith. He narrated from Abu `Abdillah (as) and Abu ‘l-Hasan (as).

Najaashi in his Rijaal says he follows a Faasid Madhab (Corrupt Belief) and is a Khataabee

Allamah Hilli says in his book he is a Weak Kufan with Faasid Madhab (Corrupt Belief) and is a Khataabee
