/me bites @apofomysback xD

I am more on the dead side till next saturdaaaaaay. Then party time, till september hahah. I am even considering giving up a contract to have zero responsibilities and be able to get lost XDDD.

It's very nice to see you around, this place wasn't the same without you :p.

Hmph.. if it was my job I would have fixed SC during only a few number of toilet breaks, in contrast to a fortnight you have taken admins. Old slackers. =/

Salam,

Seriously Darth, did you get indicators that your computers were raided while SC was "down"? I did. Thrice the "file sharing" what-ever-its-called-box would pop up showing files being shared. Everything "went out".

Friends said this was a FORN (foreign) 5 Eyes op doing a US requested witchhunt.

@Gaius I. Caesar if you make your own samosas, you can make them less oily if you "oven fry" them. It's not authentic, but it's still tasty.

Thanks sis notme!!!!

Look at this video, apparently the women had an argument while they were driving in a tiger park or something and she got out. She did not die though, her mother got out as well and saved her but she died instead. Love your mother! Alhamdulillah for our mothers!

I don't know what's wrong with me really. I feel like I've hit a bored state of life, I don't feel like doing anything. I don't know if its because I have nothing planned in the near future to look forward to.

Try growing up spending your childhood in a town of 500 people on the Canadian prairies where the only exciting thing is the ice hockey games and snowstorms so you can go snowmobiling after.

Then tell me you were bored before.

No. You're now so bored that you've passed the barrier beyond which you become insensitive to excitement, live off of the pennies you make selling farm eggs, and have started supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs out of desperation, only to frustrate yourself further.

So you become the Sheikh of the Summayads and start an epic online war with a bear lady and a left coast mother to nurse your numerous disappointments at the Maple Leafs.  Don't be like this Shaykh Patience101 and live in a mind numblingly boring town in Canada. Get rid of cable and choose Direct TV.

I believe it's the waist you're supposed to aim for in tackle football. Tell her to tackle disappointment's waist.

This information also proves useful in Pakistani schoolyard kabaddi.

I don't have a TV either.

My pains of boredom are beyond comprehension.

Now I'll go back to my igloo and wait for hockey season.

Wait, so you guys are bored from lack of things to do?

I don't understand this.

I can understand being bored of the things you must do, but I've never experienced boredom from nothing to do.

It sounds nice. Maybe some day after I've gotten everything done that I need to do I can try it.

Why don't you just do things? Pick up a book or a paintbrush or a broom or a telescope or something. Or pick up the phone and call a family member or friend to visit.

The friend thing is out of the question and my family is always busy. Painting, I have to be in the right mood and mindset to do it. Same thing with the telescope, I use it when I need to, I never use it as entertainment, otherwise it loses its meaning to me. I don't bother calling people anymore either, they are "too busy "and I feel like an absolute idiot when they don't pick up the phone.

Boredom from nothing to do or ennui is what the average person experiences, I never really heard of people who are bored from doing chores only. In a way, I  have heard of such people but I blew it off as a myth.

Boredom from nothing to do feels nothing remotely nice,  I would describe it as a dull, numbing sense that slowly creeps up on you and before you know it, you are stuck in an unfeeling lethargy.

I am not merely bored from lack of things to do, I am bored from the isolation. It's kind of a situation that I can't really avoid. I can't speak for Shaykh Patience101 or zainabamy, but that's my case. But at least I have Shiachat and strategy games.

In a universe that expands infinitely outwards, a mind that descends infinitely inwards, an entire planet to explore, neighbours and hobby groups and communities to join, art to create, culture to enjoy, exotic foods to try, interesting places to visit and people to learn from....no one has the right to be bored! You darn young'uns! Youth is wasted on the young!

Hey there, I try to suggest things  to my mother and brother to take me to but it is as easy as picking a broken nose.

I don't think loneliness is the same thing as boredom, but it's why I tacked on the telephone suggestion.

No TV, but an Internet connection. That's 21st Century.

So what size refrigerator do you have in there?

In my igloo? I am the refrigerator.

Everything I see, I either eat or wear.

from insomnia to always sleepy :/

I took my first-ever medication for sleep yesterday, and still ended up not sleeping until past two.

@starlight How much training do normal doctors get for sleep-related problems? Should I seek a specialist?

Yes, you should probably see a specialist. But what sleep problem are you suffering from exactly, if you don't mind sharing?

Problems getting to sleep. Especially if I sleep late one night, it's almost impossible for me to sleep at the normal time the following night. I just don't fall asleep, no matter how long I lie in bed (even if I'm 100% tired and only had a couple of hours of sleep the previous night) until it's around the time I slept the night before. Also, aside from this, it takes a lot longer for me to go to sleep (at least an hour) than normal people, no matter what the time.

Have you a lot on your mind? i suggest trying a body scan meditation and if youre still awake after 30-45 mins try an audiobook. Theres one called 'An edible history of humanity' on youtube that sometimes helps me drop off. Its actually quite interesting but the voice is good for falling asleep. Theres one called 'The history of standard oil' that might help you slip into unconsciousness through sheer boredom (unless youre interested in that kind of thing O.o).
