The state of us humans is dispicable. The state of us shias is shameful...

When will we change? When will we truly submit to Allah's religion and stop playing around with it?

I'm not sure if you understand urdu, but my mother always says, "jab Imam-e-zamana ayingeh, hum Shiyon ko sab se pehlay jootay paringey." (Translates more or less to, "when Imam e Zamana comes, we Shias are going to be the first ones to be punished.")

It's scary when you think about it. We could die in five minutes, and then face God knows what sort of azaab in the grave...

I don't know too much about him, and I haven't taken out the time to read about him YET. But this quote of his is quite powerful:

In Honor of the passing of Nelson Mandela:

“Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can use to change the world.”

attachicon.gif1476216_10202653428198563_1918400499_n.jpg

And, I don't think he is referring to merely an institutionalized education. But an education that gives birth to revolutionary individuals.

“O you who Believe! If you have of taqwa of Allah, He will give to you al Furqan (criterion to judge between right and wrong).” 8:29

And this is the type of education that Mandela was a follower of.

May he find rest with God inshallah, and hopefully we join him too.

*side note* Check out how the girls in the picture are sitting ahead of the boys! :shifty:

He also said, 'Question authority'.

I no longer care about exams.. time to just accept fate.

These children won't settle with poor living conditions, during their final exams. Why should we?

Goodness, May Allah protect them inshallah

This will rip you apart

Look at how happy the kids are, simply by surrounding a fire!

what is it?  looool

I mean this ^^^^^

Its a budgie :P he's called Orchard Goldenboy and won 'best in show' at the Budgerigar Society World Chapionships. He mostly enjoys kissing mirrors and perfecting his bouffant. His greatest ambition is to patent a volumising feather spray and if he had one wish it would be for world peace (or more trophies).

al-Kulayni said: Several of our companions from Ahmad b. Muhammad from `Ali b. Sayf from his father from `Amr b. Harith.

He said: I asked Abu `Abdillah [imam as-Sadiq] عليه السلام about the saying of Allah, “… as a goodly tree, its root set firm, its branches reaching into the sky” (14:24). He said: So he said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله is its root, and Amir al-Mu’mineen عليه السلام is its branches, and the Imams from their progeny are its twigs, and the knowledge of the Imams are its fruits, and their believing Shi`a are its leaves – is there anything more? He said: I said: No, by Allah. He said: By Allah, when a believer gives birth, a leaf sprouts on it; and when a believers dies, a leaf falls from it. (al-Kafi, Volume 1, hadith 1157)

JazakAllahu Khairan for sharing brother, they're voices are powerful and very soothing to the soul and the brothers recite beautifully. I feel like when I listen to the Quran being recited, the mere voice shakes me from my roots and bring tears to my eyes. Allah swt says in the Noble Quran " Indeed Allah's remembrance bring contentment " and the Quran is all about remembering Allah and knowing the meaning has the maximum impact, subhanallah.

Here's another one of my fav recitation of surah alNoor:

Hey Ali-F, your threads made me laugh. Just thought I'd let you know your humorous.

You pride reached such ridiculous proportions that you're thinking of naming a city after yourself, now?
