Grand Imam of Al-Azhar: Linking Terrorism to Islam Sign of Ignorance

Quote

It followed Islamophobic remarks by some French officials after a brutal attack by an extremist on a history teacher.

The teacher, named Samuel Paty, was beheaded outside his school in a Paris suburb on Friday.

The history teacher had raised controversy and provoked anger over showing defamatory cartoons of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) to his students.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who described the incident as an “Islamist terrorist attack,” said Paty was murdered because he “taught freedom of expression.”

Macron has recently come under scrutiny for describing Islam as “a religion that is today in crisis all over the world.”

Pakistani PM deplores Macron for 'hurting sentiments of Muslims'

Quote

"It is unfortunate that he has chosen to encourage Islamophobia by attacking Islam rather than the terrorists who carry out violence, be it Muslims, White Supremacists or Nazi ideologists. Sadly, President Macron has chosen to deliberately provoke Muslims, incl his own citizens, through encouraging the display of blasphemous cartoons targeting Islam and our Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))," Imran Khan wrote on Twitter.

Iran's Velayati condemns insulting Prophet of Islam ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))

Quote

"After global condemnations, we should have witnessed prevention of republishing blasphemous cartoons insulting the Holy Prophet of Islam in France, but the application of double standards caused this polytheistic and anti-religious thinking to penetrate be promoted in the educational system of this country," he said.

Extremism and desecration of the Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) are two sides of the same coin used by international Zionism and global arrogance against genuine Islam, Velayati said.

Pseudo advocates of human rights commit the most insulting acts, crimes and evils in the name of freedom of expression, while in the face of the slightest opposition and criticism, apply the harshest punishments and attitudes, he said.

Hezbollah rejects ‘intentional insult’ against Prophet Mohammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))

Quote

Hezbollah expressed regret over disparaging tropes about Islam and the Prophet as well as the issue of Islamophobia in France. “What was published in France harms the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims, including the Islamic and Arab expat community that has been living for decades in Europe and France,” the statement read.

“All false claims about freedom of opinion and expression cannot justify the rejected insults against the Prophet of God and disparaging divine religions and beliefs,” it added, calling on France to “return to reason, wisdom and frank respect for religions and religious values” to “positively contribute to preventing the publication of materials that would provoke tension at the international level.”

Yemeni scholars call on Muslims to pressurize France to apologize for insulting Holy Prophet

Yemeni Foreign Ministry condemns French insults of Islam, Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))

Quote

The scholars remarks came in the closing statement of the Conference of Yemeni Scholars held in Sana'a, Sunday, under the slogan "Muhammad is the Messenger of God, the Excellent Pattern", with a wide presence of scholars from all the governorates of the Republic.

The scholars of Yemen emphasized Islamic unity, uniting ranks and rejecting all forms of violence and extremism, stressing the need for scholars, preachers, guides, and thinkers to fulfill their religious duty of awareness and guidance.

The scholars of Yemen emphasized the centrality of the Palestinian cause as an Islamic and humanitarian issue as Al-Quds Al-Sharif is an Arab and Islamic land that cannot be divided.

They called upon the scholars of the entire Islamic nation to do their duty and to clarify the legitimate position on the betrayal of the Emirati, Saudi and Bahraini regime and the Sudanese Military Council.

In a statement Saturday, the Ministry affirmed that the repeated insult to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad is a provocation and harms the feelings of more than a billion and a half Muslims, which will negatively affect France's relations with the Islamic world.

The statement considered this a dangerous step that would ignite the spirit of hatred, violence and enmity, and jeopardize all efforts to promote peaceful and civilized coexistence among the peoples of the world.

The statement pointed out that this offense certainly will not affect the status of the Islamic religion, which is the religion of peace, tolerance and love, nor the greatness of the Prophet Muhammad, who came as a mercy to all people, rather, it will undermine Franceand its position, showing it as a source of hatred, extremism and moral decay.

Danish Far-Right Politician Pledges To Use Swedish Citizenship For More Quran Desecration

I don't really believe that there is such a thing as "Islamophobia". Islam is an all-encompassing religion, so naturally there are going to be people who don't want to be involved with it in a liberal society much like there are many people who don't want to be involved with Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.

The biggest threat to Islam in this day and age is the "woke" movement. American conservatives/right-wingers are starting to discover that Muslims generally share their cultural values more closely than the democrat party and it's "woke" wing (pro-work, pro-family, pro-modesty, pro-religion) and that's a good thing because it means that we're starting to be accepted by the people who didn't accept us during the George W. Bush regime.

However, the people who cry the loudest about "Islamophobia" in America, the "woke" movement, don't understand Islamic values or Muslims at all and think that to be a Muslim is to be part of a specific racial or ethnic group that needs to be protected by "white saviors". I have been told on numerous occasions by woke people and even my own mother (a liberal democrat) that "You aren't a Muslim though, you're white" which at least to me, shows an incredible ignorance as to what Islam is and who is a Muslim. Part of what attracted me to Islam was that it was a family of believers that anyone could embrace regardless of race or ethnic background... there is no division between black and white in the ummah, Islam is truly a faith for all people across the earth. The "woke" movement either does not understand this, or understands it and wants to make "Muslim" an ethno-religious group like Judaism.

"Woke" values are extremely hostile to those of Muslims because "woke" seeks to destroy religion entirely and replace it with various "social justice" causes in order to fill the void that a lack of religion in one's life leaves: veganism, "anti-racism" (segregating black and white into "safe spaces" while treating whites as second class citizens), transgenderism & gay ideology, the destruction of the family & denigration of males/fathers, earth worship + paganism, encouragement to use drugs and alcohol to cope with emptiness (it doesn't work, trust me), and a myriad of other far-left sociocultural beliefs. "Woke" has largely accomplished this is the West by the first phase of it's movement starting in the late 00s and up to the mid 2010s: pushing "atheism" and denigrating christianity + judaism... they were too politically correct to take on Islam at that time, but they are starting to try and push "reform" in Islam by using token arabs, usually women, to start pushing LGBT acceptance/celebration and the concept of "Muslim" as a racial category, the end of women's hijab, and the "woke" dogma of "inclusiveness" (when "woke" says something about "inclusiveness" what they really mean is no more standards of objective right and wrong, no more concept of sin or punishment for said sin, acceptance of drug + alcohol use, open homosexuality and transgenderism within the ummah along with "hook-up" culture, pornography, and sexual degeneracy in general).

Make no mistake, "woke" will come for Islam as soon as they believe that they have succeeded in fully destroying Christianity. They will not seek to outright destroy Islam like they did with Christianity, but they will attempt to innovate and change it to be more in line with left-wing cultural values. This, at least to me, says that the "woke" movement, a religion in its own, is actually that which is truly Islamophobic when compared to American conservatives and other right-wingers.

Top commander blasts France for attributing terrorist acts to religion of mercy, rationality

Sacrilege of Muslims’ sanctities fuels extremism: Zarif

Macron’s anti-Islam positions show his crudeness in politics: Shamkhani

Iran's Ghalibaf raps French insults to Prophet of Islam

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said on Monday that Western governments, including the French government, want to attribute the brutal terrorist acts to the religion of mercy, wisdom and rationality, that is, dear Islam.

He made the remarks in reaction to the recent statements of French president late on Monday, reiterating that they have created Takfiri and terrorist groups such as Daesh and have understood nothing of Islam.

“Muslims are the primary victims of the cult of hatred (Wahhabism), empowered by colonial regimes and exported by their own clients,” Zarif wrote on his twitter page on Monday.

He said that insulting 1.9bln Muslims and their sanctities “for the abhorrent crimes of such extremists is an opportunistic abuse of freedom of speech”.

“It only fuels extremism,” Zarif warned.
“We strongly condemn the recent ugly measures of the French rulers,” he added.

“Undoubtedly, the unacceptable and violent actions of a few extremists, which are originated from an extremist and deviant ideology in the Islamic world, and, ironically, is also owned by political partners close to the West and the US, no way can be a justification to insult and disrespect a heavenly figure respected by 1.8bln Muslims in the world,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said.

“No doubt the unjustifiable position of the French officials is not an appropriate and prudent response to the extremism and violence that is condemned in its place, and it causes hatred more than ever as we are witnessing some suspicious and disgusting acts of insult to the holy Quran by a few extremist and anti-Islam streams in a number of European states which are strongly condemned,” he added.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) last Friday condemned continued attacks and incitement against Muslim sentiments and insults of Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)).

In a post on his Twitter account on Sunday, Ghalibaf said all Muslims and monotheists in the world would strongly condemn the “brazen hostility that the witless and rude authorities of France” have shown towards the great prophet of Islam.

The sinister actions from the shameless ones insulting Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) reveals their blasphemous manner and hostility towards all divine religions, the top Iranian lawmaker added.

Last week, French police stormed a mosque in a densely-populated suburb in the northeast of Paris, as part of a crackdown on Muslims in the wake of the French teacher's beheading, Press TV reported.

The interior ministry said the mosque in Pantin, which has some 1,500 worshipers, would be shut for six months.

Pogba retires from France over President Macron’s anti-Islam comments

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Paul Pogba has reportedly retired from France international team football after controversial comments made by the nation's president Emmanuel Macron about Islam.

The Manchester United star has reportedly made the decision following the remarks on Friday from his country’s leader.

The French government’s decision to honor the teacher who published offensive images of Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) is said to be behind the move.

Pogba considered the decision an insult to French Muslims, especially since Islam is the second religion in France after Christianity.

Analysis: French regime seeks to shift blame to Muslims after teacher murder

Quote

the French government, which has found another excuse to fuel Islamophobia, banned a pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli group that is said to be close to the Hamas Movement under the cover of what President Emmanuel Macron called a fight against “the Islamist radicalism.”

Macron on Tuesday announced that his government will dissolve a group allegedly with close bonds to the Gaza-based Palestinian movement for its “direct” role in beheading of the French teacher last week. He added that the decision to dissolve “Sheikh Yassin Collective” that advocates the Palestinian ideals will be implemented on Wednesday. The group is named after the founder of Hamas.

Although the claim has not yet been proven by any court in France and so far all of the terrorist attacks in France have been carried out by takfiri groups especially ISIS— whose ideology is rejected by a majority of Muslims—, the French government is seeking to damage the image of the Muslims and particularly the resistant groups in West Asia.

The French officials said that they shut down a mosque and arrested ten people. They, however, did not reprimand the school that insulted the major sacred figure of the Muslim world and keeps providing material containing disrespectful material to Islam.

A couple of days before the killing of the French teacher, the mosque published a video in which it came against the abusive remarks against the Prophet Muhammad.

The interior ministry said that the mosque, in which around 1,500 people attend for daily and Friday prayers, will remain shut for six months.

France sowed wind and reaped whirlwind

The stance taken by the French officials against what they call Islamist fundamentalism to win the public support and gratification is blame-shifting and meant to deceive the French and global public opinion. ....

...the French counterterrorism service stated that 800 French nationals traveled to Syria and Iraq to join the terrorist battle against the governments of the two Arab countries. If those showing willingness to join the fighting in Syria and Iraq are counted, this number would rise to 1,600, it continued. Could not France arrest these radicals before their travel to frontlines? Or was it a big political project underway and the French government is now resorting to shifting the blame and Islamophobia to distract people from figuring out the reality?

...Secondly, the French government has always neglected the promotion of hatred against Muslim beliefs and sacred icons in the name of supporting the freedom of speech.

Imran Khan: Pakistan's prime minister asks Facebook to ban Islamophobic content

Pakistan strongly condemns Macron's anti-Islam remarks, summons French envoy to protest blasphemous sketches

Pakistan's prime minister, Imran Khan, has asked Facebook to ban Islamophobic content

Quote

Pakistan's prime minister Imran Khan has written a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, urging the platform to ban islamophobic content.

Khan said that "growing Islamophobia" was encouraging "hate, extremism, and violence... especially through the use of social media" and warned that such content could radicalise Muslims.

"One cannot send the message that some hate messages against some are unacceptable, while others are acceptable".

Khan also pointed to Facebook's recent policy which has banned content that distorts or denies the Holocaust and called for a similar rule to be introduced for anti-Islam posts.

Quote

In a statement, FO Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said that the ambassador was handed over a dossier by the special secretary (Europe).

The ambassador was told about Pakistan’s condemnation of the publication of blasphemous sketches and the comments later made by Macron, the spokesperson said.

The French envoy was conveyed Pakistan’s “deep concerns over the recent systematic resurgence of blasphemous acts of republication of caricatures of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) and desecration of the Holy Quran by certain irresponsible elements”, the FO spokesperson said.

“At a time of rising racism, intolerance and populism, there is a need to promote harmony among peoples and communities instead of reinforcing stereotypes and making people alienated.”

In a statement carried by Radio Pakistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Monday that Macron’s irresponsible statement had added “fuel to the fire”.

“Nobody has the right to hurt the sentiments of millions of Muslims under the guise of freedom of expression,” he said.

The foreign minister also urged the United Nations to take notice and called for action against the hate-based narrative against Islam, the report added.

President Macron had paid tribute to a French history teacher who was murdered after showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in class, and said France would "not give up our cartoons".

But the comments have been strongly condemned by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has called for a boycott of French products over Macron's perceived attitude toward Islam and Muslims.

On Monday, the Pakistani authorities also reportedly summoned the French ambassador in Islamabad, Marc Baréty, to convey their concerns.

Iran summons French charge d’affaires over anti-Islamic comments

Dar-ol-Quran Organization of Iran urges reconsidering ties with France regime

Ayatollah Amoli Larijani: Muslims should stand united to counter anti-Islamism

Quote

In the absence of the French ambassador to Iran, its charge d’affaires Florent Aydalot was summoned to the Foreign Ministry on Monday to hear Iran’s concerns over the growing anti-Islamic comments in France.

During the session, the deputy director-general for the European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the unacceptable actions of the French authorities that have hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims in Europe and the world, stressing, “Any insult and disrespect to the Prophet of Islam ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) and the pure values of Islam are strongly condemned and rejected by every person and in every position.”

He added, "It is deeply regrettable to incite Islamophobia and the spread of hatred in the name of freedom of expression, which should serve communication, empathy and peaceful coexistence between human societies."

The French official promised to reflect Iran's objection to the Paris government as soon as possible.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Dar-ol-Quran Organization of Iran called for reconsidering the country’s ties with France given the European country’s Islamophobic and anti-Islam moves.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the organization condemned French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent statements against Islam and his support for offensive cartoons about Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)).

It said such moves that are made in the name of freedom of speech only show the helplessness of those behind them.

The statement also called for Muslim unity under the banner of Islam and the Holy Quran in the face of such heinous acts.

These irrational, ridiculous and immoral insults of the French publications, as well as the meaningless and unjustifiable support of Macron for these blasphemous moves have logical, moral and rational justification, he said.

West's anti-Islamism is not something new as they have engaged in anti-Islam acts for centuries, he said.

There are some two billion Muslims across the world who can stand up to such acts and the minimum they can do is to get their capacities out of their reach, Larijani said.

Iran's prestigious Islamic academy, al-Mustafa International University has issued a message on Monday to condemn French President Emmanuel Macron for his disrespect of Islam and Prophet Mohammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The university, in part of its message, slammed the anti-Islamic comments by French President for hurting the feelings of world Muslims and said," Reprinting of sacrilegious cartoons of Prophet Mohammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) by French magazine and French President's support of the move under the pretext of "freedom of expression" proves the anti-Islamic tendencies in perpetrators and spread of division and hatred among religions."

It stressed that, "A draft submitted to French Parliament to restrict religious activities by Muslims in the country and also anti-Hijab laws will intensify the situation and counts for another unacceptable measure by French government in ignoring ten million Muslims living in the country."

"Covered and uncovered interference of global Zionism in planning and practicing the plot should not go unnoticed" read another part of the message stressing that the efforts for normalization of ties with Israeli regime should be interpreted in the same line.

"Elites, top figures and authorities in Muslim countries and other religions should take swift action to block the paths for torch-bearers of desecration" said the cleric in this message and added," and provide the grounds for boosting solidarity and constructive cooperation among Abrahamic religions across the globe."

Ayatollah A'rafi expressed regret over desecration of Prophet Mohammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) under the pretext of freedom of expression and said," Strangely enough claimants of civilization and presidents in countries with a background of looting eastern countries and killing millions of people allow desecration of the prophet of blessings and manifest of morality and shamelessly call it as freedom of expression."

"There should be a reason that world community witnesses the respect of Iranian nation for all sacred religions and holy books and compare that with aggressive approach followed by western countries to find the true moral values taught by Islam" said the cleric.

Ayatollah A'rafi, director of Iran seminaries wrote the lines in a message issued following French President Emmanuel Macron's support for cartoons desecrating Prophet Mohammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)).

Iran Army calls on Muslim to eradicate anti-Islamism roots

Quote

Here is the text of Amy’s statement:

The disgraceful act of Charlie Hebdo, also backed by the French president, once again revealed the anti-Islamism approaches of the false claimants of freedom of expression.

Human rights claimants attribute a French student's individual move against his teacher to the total identity of Islam, however, they consider the hurting of the feelings of 2 billion Muslims as freedom of expression for the sake of secularism.

The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning these heinous and insulting acts, considers such move as the efforts of the Western powers and Zionist Regime who are prone to failure and extinction at the international level.

Emmanuel Macron’s attempt to maintain French influence in Africa failing

Quote

“No [French] president has wanted to let go of his reserved African domain, the veritable DNA of the presidency under the Fifth Republic,” wrote Pascal Airault and Jean-Pierre Bat in Françafrique: Secret Operations and Affairs of State.

France has been forced to gradually change its policy in Africa where it competes with old rivals such as the UK and newer ones such as China, Russia and Turkey.

France’s falling influence comes as numerous Muslim states have denounced Macron’s persistent support for blasphemy in his country against Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)).

“We will not give in, ever,” Macron tweeted on Sunday. The tweet served to back up his earlier support for a French teacher’s displaying of cartoons insulting of the Prophet of Islam in his class under the pretext of “freedom of speech.”

Islamophobia in France;

Two Jordanian Muslims siblings assaulted in France

Quote

As reported, Mohammad Abu Eid and Heba Abu Eid were attacked last week.

Mohammad, an Arabic teaching assistant, and his sister Heba, an MA student who started her graduate studies earlier in the year, said they were waiting at the bus stop when they were insulted for speaking Arabic.

In his public account of the event, Mohammad said they were followed into the bus, where insults were continuously hurled at them, and later they were chased after down the street.

"The man stood across from us and shouted, 'This is France, this is our [country], not yours'," he recalled in a video interview with Roya news.

"They wanted to aggravate us. They insulted us in front of everyone," she recalled. "It was scary."

The siblings said they asked bystanders to call the police, but their pleas were ignored.

Assalamu Aleikoum Brothers & Sisters,

France launched attack against Islam and Muslims, there were islamophobic attacks against Masjids and also against the Muslims.

One was attack on Muslim females which were stabbed, then 3 more attacks on Masjids (vandalisation and threats), then French police attacked Turkish youth for fun, then Armenian mob lynched Turkish-looking people (5 hospitalised) and now were two attacks, one done by Far-Right supporter threatening general public with a gun and second done by the state as artificial attack in the Church just to justify French anti-muslim laws and getting world's sympathy!

I am fed up of French barbaric culture, arrogance and islamophobia!

French journalist: President Macron under foreign influence

Quote

Here is interview with French journalist, Christiane Zahra Guillaume, to shed light on the matter.

“Our president is under foreign control, and not for the French people interest,” said Guillaume.

"As a minister of economy, he betrayed France in several cases, including the Altshom General Electric, sale of airports Toulouse, hydroelectric dams, and private militia ( Benalla affair)," she added.

If you keep this fact in mind, you can understand what is happening in our country, Guillaume said, adding, “How he manages the sanitary crisis shows that is not important for him to destroy the economy and the social stability of his country. His management of the Yellow Vest movement is another testimony of that.”

“In the name of security or social peace, he doesn’t hesitate to order the police to kill, hurt, knock out and imprison people protesting against the degradation of social and economic conditions and the pauperization of society.”

“Some geopolitical experts warn President Macron against his latest anti-Islamic statements, which can encourage the Muslim electorate to make another choice than his in the next elections.”

“If Muslims will not elect him again, it is not important for those who have chosen him because they perhaps will bring another candidate.”

“Unless the majority of the citizens wake up and decide to take charge of their destiny in the interest of their country.”

All this evidence shows that "Macron is not free to act," Guillaume said, adding, “He is obliged to follow what a certain foreign leader, who can be American or Israeli, tells him.”

American analyst : Scourge of Islamophobia in France

Quote

They shamefully treat Islam(ic) identity and culture in “cartoon-like” fashion.

It’s similar to how “Popeye and Bluto bash each other mercilessly.”

When active, ideologues like Huntington and Lewis relied on stereotypes and gimmickry — ignoring reason, shunning reality.

They’re all about seeking control over the region’s vast hydrocarbon resources, along with serving Israeli interests. Both countries seek to redraw the Middle East’s map, replacing independent governments with pro-Western puppet regimes — along with partitioning Iran, Iraq, Syria, and other regional countries for easier control.

For generations, Muslims have been maligned by the West. Samuel Huntington called for “exploit(ing) Islamic states to support…Western values and interests.”

Waging war requires enemies. When none exist they’re invented. Muslims are targets of choice, notably in the oil-rich Middle East. Ignored is what Islam is all about. It has common roots with Judeo/Christian principles.

Angered British Muslims condemn French anti-Islam cartoons

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Outside the French Embassy in London, angered British Muslims gathered to vent their anger.

The protest comes amid rising violence on France over the ongoing debate of freedom of speech vs freedom to insult!

This is just one of the many protests taking place across the Muslim world. Muslims are angry at what they say is deep insult by Western society, led by France, against Islam and its holiest figures. France claims that its defending freedom of speech but muslim say they are being indiscriminately persecuted in France.

The focus of the anger was focused on the French President for his passionate defense of anti-Islam insults.

However, protesters also made clear why defending the Prophet is so important.

Muslim resentment against France is still growing. Will Macron finally back down or choose to stand by its anti-Islam stance? The answer, for now, still remains unclear.

Sayyed Nasrallah: French freedom of speech based on double standards

Quote

In a televised speech on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Birthday, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the French authorities and public opinion to avoid blaming Islam and all Muslims for the attack which targeted Nice City or any other area in the world, confirming that such acts are illegitimate and immoral and that only the culprits must be persecuted.

Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that Muslims consider defending Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as a top priority above any other issue and find it obligatory to respond to any abuse which targets the Messenger.

“You will pay the price of supporting the terrorist groups,” Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the Western States.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the freedom of speech in France is restricted, citing the example of the philosopher Roger Geraudy who was persecuted for denying the Holocaust.

Sayyed Nasrallah maintained that if some Muslims have distorted their own religion, this does not give the others any right to abuse Islam, stressing that the Islamic teachings have nothing to do with the crimes committed by the terrorist groups.

Hezbollah leader pointed out that the recent tensions in France started with publishing that cartoons which abuse Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), continued in the form of Muslim protests against the insults and developed into the murder of the French history teacher.

“Instead of addressing the root causes of the problem, the French authorities waged a war of this sort, claiming that it is a matter of freedom of speech.”

Reaction to anti-Islam cartoon: Thousand of Iranian academics pen letter to French counterparts

Quote

In this letter addressed to French university professors, 1,000 Iranian university lecturers lashed out at support of French President Emmanuel Macron and warned about publication of blasphemous and insulting cartoon attributed to the Holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)).

Iranian academics pointed to the influence of “hidden Zionist factions” in the official politics of the West including France and added, “Western governments are toys of the hidden groups.”

Earlier, Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a letter to the young people in France, calling on them to question the double standards of their president over freedom of expression.

Leader's military aide: France’s Macron, main culprit of recent events in his country

Quote

In a tweet released in French on Friday, Brigadier General Dehghan wrote, “French President Macron is the main culprit of recent events in France.”

“No Muslim uses violent methods to express his opinion. All of us are the children of the Prophet Abraham ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) and we worship one God. A terrorist act is not only killing citizens but also is insulting the Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)). Macron must apologize immediately.”

There is no double standard in freedom, he tweeted.

Important letter from Muslim Doctors Association over insulting Holy Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) in France

Quote

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Following the French President's insult to the Prophet of Islam, the International Charitable Foundation of Muslim and followers of the AhlulBayt ((عليه السلام).) Doctors sent a message to the French Doctors Without Borders France.

The text of the lettr is as follow:

In the Name of God, the Most High

From: Muslim Doctors Association

To: Doctors Without Borders France

Greetings and best regards,

Following the insult of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, to the Prophet of Islam and the leader of more than two billion Muslims in the world, it seems appropriate that we should discuss some issues with our colleagues in the medical community.

Isn’t it logical?

At a time when many of the countries of the world are struggling against COVID-19 and more and more people are dying every day, all countries, especially the countries with the most advanced technology and the claimants of an advanced civilization, shouldn’t theyconcentrate all of their efforts, as well as those of others, to fight this evil virus to save human lives?............https://en.abna24.com/news//important-letter-from-muslim-doctors-association-over-insulting-holy-prophet-(صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)-in-france_1083104.html

On the contrary, it seems that measures must be taken into consideration to compensate for this great mistake, such as publishing articles in the media, etc. Through such measures, it is possible to create a sense of healing in the pain-filled hearts of Muslims.

The President of France must be prepared to answer to French and international courts due to the complaints from large numbers of Muslims regarding the psychological damage caused by his remarks.

No offense meant to Islam, Muslims: Macron

Quote

Speaking in a telephone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday night, Macron said he respected Islam and the Muslim world, and did not mean to offend them, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

“I understand the feelings that this arouses; I respect them. But I want you to understand the role that I have. My role is to calm things down, as I am doing here, but at the same time it is to protect these rights,” he said, doubling down on his alleged support for freedom of expression.

He added that he differentiated between terrorism and extremism on the one side, and Islam and the Muslim world on the other.

The remarks came two days after Macron told Qatar-based al-Jazeera television news network that he wanted to eliminate the misunderstandings, after his remarks triggered an outburst of anger against France among Muslim nations and leaders worldwide.

Macron said on Saturday that the caricatures published by the satirical Charlie Hebdo magazine did not represent the French government’s position, and underlined that the magazine was not an official publication.

Ayatollah Khatami: Anti-France measures should continue until Macron’s apology to Muslims

Introducing Holy Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) to world is everyone's duty: Official

Quote

“The angry roaring which has started in the Muslim world should continue until Macron’s official apology and the same trend which has started in the Islamic world, including boycott of the French goods, should continue to force him to apologize,” Seyed Ahmad Khatami, the new member of the Guardian Council’s presiding board, said on Monday.

He blasted the French officials for supporting the blasphemy of Islamic sanctities under the pretext of freedom of expression, and said, “Your freedom of expression is a lie; if anyone opposes your view about the Holocaust, he/she will be sentenced and imprisoned.”

Ayatollah Khamenei denounced the French government for defending “the cultural savagery and criminal act of a cartoonist” under the pretext of defending freedom of expression, exclaiming that this is the same government that has been sheltering the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorists, who have the blood of thousands of Iranians on their hands.

“There is a lesson in this. Here, the French government is linking the story to human rights and freedom of expression. Whereas it has been sheltering the most violent terrorists in the world. Those who martyred the Iranian president, judiciary chief, prime minister and several officials, as well as 17,000 ordinary people [decades ago].”

Ayatollah Khamenei also recalled how France had provided substantial assistance to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein when he waged an eight-year war against Iran during the 1980s.

“The French government was one of the biggest supporters of the regime of bloodthirsty wolfish Saddam during the imposed war,” he noted.

Head of Iran's Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi in a message on Monday stressed the need for introducing the last divine messenger to the world.

Congratulating all Muslims and followers on the auspicious birth anniversary of Prophet of Mercy ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), he added in his Instagram account that the Prophet is not only the leader of the Muslims across the world, but also the ideal model of humanity throughout the history.

‘Terrorist attack' near Vienna synagogue leaves several casualties

ISIL claims responsibility for Vienna attack

Quote

Vienna police confirmed there were six sites of attack with multiple attackers. Police initially confirmed one death and one terrorist killed.

The Austrian interior minister said at least one attacker has died in the shooting that took place near a synagogue in Vienna.

Earlier on Tuesday, Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said that four people died and twenty-two were injured as a result of the attack.

At least seven people were killed with several others injured in multiple gun and suspected suicide attacks near a synagogue in Vienna.

He also disclosed the identity of the attacker, who was killed by the police. Identified as Kujtim Fejzulai, the perpetrator had roots in the Balkan nation of North Macedonia, and he had a previous conviction under a law that punishes membership in terrorist organizations, the minister said.

In 2019, he was sentenced to 22 months in prison because he had tried to travel to Syria to join ISIL. In December, he was granted early release under juvenile law, Nehammer added.

“We are on site with all available forces. Please avoid all public squares in the city,” the police tweeted.

Karl Nehammer said some people were thought to have been killed and several seriously injured, including a police officer.

European Muslim groups urge Macron end ‘divisive rhetoric’

Quote

Macron has  faced a backlash from Muslim activists after claiming in a speech a month ago that Islam was “in crisis globally” and announced his plan “to reform Islam” in order to make it more compatible with his country’s republican values.

In an open letter published on Saturday, the organizations from several countries including the Netherlands, Finland and Italy said the French leader has failed to provide “strong moral leadership” following the killing of a teacher and three worshippers at a church last month.

“Maligning Islam and your own Muslim citizens, closing mainstream mosques, Muslim and humanitarian rights organizations, and using this as an opportunity to stir up further hatred, has given further encouragement to racists and violent extremists,” the signatories said, urging Macron to rethink what they called his “unilateral assault on Muslims, Islam and Prophet Muhammad [(صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)]”.
