Dog Nijis?

dog is najis,

here is what ayatollah fadlullah says on dogs

"9. d. and e. Dog and Pig.

These two animals are inherently najis, in that everything in them, be it flesh, bone, hair, teeth, etc, is najis. They remain najis whether alive or dead. All species of dog are najis, be they watch dogs, hunting dogs, or police dogs.

However, this does not cover marine mammals, such as seals."


not sure on cat, but i can assume najis, i do not pet our cats after wudu til after prayer so wudu is not broken although insha Allah i find a ruling on such a thing.

No, cats are not najis. They are however a predatory animal and haram to eat, so you are not allowed to do salat with clothing made from parts of them, and as such the fuqaha say not even with their hair on your clothing. This is not specific to cats, but for predatory animals, even (acc. obligatory precaution per Sayyid Sistani) haram meat animals in general.

As to dog, we have ahadith that speak of their being najis:
