As-Sallamu-Alaykom,

I was watching a lecture today by Hassan Qauzini in Dearborn Michigan, and in his lecture he said that today (December 26th 2009) a scholar (I believe was from Saudi Arabia) used such horrendous and slanderous words against religious scholar and authority Sistani.

I was wondering if anyone knew of this, or if anyone can confirm this by posting a link. I would hope such a thing would (could) never occur but it seems as if it has.

Insha Allah anyone with information on this subject can post any more info here.

Those filthy wahabi scumbags do that hourly. Confirmation would simply require a visit to youtube where you could watch 20 videos of a ranting simpleton playing God while resentment/bitterness build up inside you and result in you becoming the shia version of him @)

OR

Move on (the healthier option ^_^ )

Talabani urges Riyadh to halt anti-Shia remarks

Baghdad has called on Riyadh to prevent insult to Iraq's Shia clergy as protests escalate over offensive remarks hurled by a Wahhabi imam against Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani.

"Saudi Arabia is a land of divine revelation and prophets, a land which hosts the House of God, who prohibits us from dissension...You call on Muslims to put aside differences but from time to time voices scatter seeds of discord among Muslims," Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said in a letter to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

Talabani censured Saudi Sunni figures' abusive tone against Shia Muslims in Iraq and elsewhere across the globe and warned that its "bitter" consequences "favored the enemy's policy of forging discord and animosity" in the Muslim world.

The letter, published on Tuesday, came after leading Wahhabi cleric Mohammad al-UreifiIn in his Friday sermon in Riyadh called Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani an "atheist and debauched." In his tirade, he also attacked Iraqi Shias, accusing them of conspiring with Yemen's Houthis against Saudi Arabia with Iran's support.

The Iraqi President described the remarks against Ayatollah Sistani as "painful and bitter," noting that the prominent cleric is a towering figure in the Shia world who symbolizes "tolerance, unity and brotherhood."

Recalling Ayatollah Sistani's "remarkable role in foiling the enemy's plot aimed at spreading sectarian violence in Iraq," Talabani stressed that any offense to the Iraqi cleric equaled insulting the whole Iraqi nation.

He further asked the Saudi king to warn religious leaders in and outside Saudi Arabia against reinvigorating discord and divergence, and to call for decrees and sermons that encourage peace, unity and coexistence in the Muslim world.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki earlier strongly criticized the Saudi religious institutes for their tendency to launch attacks on Shia clerics and holding a hostile attitude towards Shia Muslims.

Iraq's parliament also condemned the remarks by calling on the Saudi government to take a transparent position on the issue.

The lawmakers also called on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Conference, the Association of Asian Parliaments and Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to condemn the remarks.

What else can one expect from the ghastly Neanderthals known to the world as Saudi mullahs? You'd have trouble identifying what is what if you saw an open gutter and a mouth of a Wahhabi mullah side by side.

Saudis/Wahabis are the main culprits creating problems for Shia and Sunni Muslims, sitting in the lap of USA like baby kangroo inside the bag of her mother, instead of Almighty Allah they trust in Americans, and thats why they have hired them to take care of them, each and every Saudis have 5 to 10 wives.

I am looking for this nauha which was recited by a little boy called M Abbas, I have checked all the sites but could not find any where, if any one have any clue pls. let me know, thanks

Actually the reason was that saudis are angry because Sayed sistani didn't make fatwa or declared jihaad against americans . Iranians also were waiting for something like that but that is not happened .

Well, this guy cursed and accused all Shias of all negative things he could, but named Ay. Sistani because he mentioned Houthis..He is just paranoid because he seems so nervous like someone who works for government intelligence..His speech is meant to provoke people against Shia conspiracy (as they think), because they are scared that Houthis might encourage the whole Shias (Zaidis, Ismailis, Imamis) in Yemen and east Saudi to upraise and take over the cities in both countries if they grow and spread...I will post the original video.....

Watch the VIDEO here

The following are excerpts from a Friday sermon delivered in the Al-Bawardi Mosque in Riyadh by Saudi cleric Muhammad Al-Arifi. The sermon was posted on the Internet on December 11, 2009.

Muhammad Al-Arifi: Those Shiites would glorify the imams and elevate them above the level of humanity. Today, oh monotheists, the evil Shiites continue to set traps for monotheism and the Sunna. They try to spread their false doctrine to the ignorant among the Sunnis. Let us not forget what the Shiites have done throughout history. In the year of 656, they helped the Mongol and Tatar [invaders]. They killed the Sunnis and collaborated with Hulagu Khan. This was done by Ibn Al-‘Alqami and his Shiite supporters. We shall not forget their treachery throughout history – in Muslim countries in general, and in Mecca and Al-Madina in particular – or their attempts to ensnare the Country of the Two Holy Mosques [saudi Arabia].

If not for the vigilance of the [saudi] security agencies, you would have seen them carry out miraculous [attacks]. They collaborate with Iran and other countries and try to smuggle weapons. Some of them have begun to amass weapons and to stash them in graves. They carry weapons like they carry their dead. They amass sub-machine guns and other weapons and stash them in graves.

It is no secret to any of us what happens to our Sunni brothers, whether in Iraq or in Iran, as a result of the domination of those corrupt Shiites. The highest Sunni authority in Iraq, Sheik Hareth Al-Dhari, said in an old report that in just three years – between 2003 and 2006 – more than 100,000 Sunnis were killed by Shiites. They would kill them because of their [sunni] identity. If your name was Omar or ‘Aisha – they would kill you on the spot.

I have read unimaginably painful reports on how they would kill these Muslims. They would use the most severe torture methods against them. They would kidnap a child, boil him in water, skin him like a sheep, and then, they would bring him on a platter, wrapped in cloth, and when his family uncovered the platter, they would find this 7 – or 10-year old boy.

Tehran is the only capital in the world that has no Sunni mosque. All they have are places of worship for those ignoble descendants of the Majus.

Today, the Shiites still try to take control of the Country of the Two Holy Mosques – from the north coming from Iraq and Iran, or from the east, by trying to dominate some Gulf states, and to generate political instability there, as they have done time and again in Bahrain and elsewhere... They are also trying to take control coming from the south, by supporting the Houthi Shiites.

Those Houthis are so adamant about their Shiite belief, that during their exchange with the Yemeni government, they insisted that the problem would be resolved by Ayatollah Al-Sistani. They didn’t say that the problem should be resolved, for example, by the Saudi Association of Great Scholars, the Islamic Fatwa Committee of Al-Azhar, the Imam of the Haram Mosque in Mecca, a group of imams from the two holy mosques... They did not look for people who would unite the Muslims, by virtue of their status as sheiks, preachers, and scholars. They selected a sheik who is a great sinner and infidel from a remote corner of Iraq, and said: We want this man to be the arbitrator between us.

Protecting the Country of the Two Holy Mosques is tantamount to protecting all countries of monotheism and the Sunna, protecting the direction of prayer of the Muslims, protecting the pilgrims, protecting the call to monotheism. When you travel across Saudi Arabia, you do not see a single cross, you do not hear any Christian calls for prayer, you do not see any statue in public view, and you do not see mausoleums on graves. Whenever a mausoleum is being erected, the security forces destroy it before the religious authorities get the chance. You do not encounter any sign of polytheism in these graves.

On the other hand, when you travel to various Muslim countries, you see churches, you may see crosses, and you may even encounter uncovered women. The animosity of those Shiites toward this country should not come as a surprise.

MEMRI

There is no doubt that this guy is a fraud and 100% liar...read the details of torture and murders he describes in Iraq...boiling children in hot waters because they are Sunni, killing people because they have names like Omar or Aaisha and 100 more lies.. his main problem is that, Houthis asked Ayatollah Sistani to make peace between them and the government and not the 'blind Dajjal Shaikh' in Saudi who declared Shias as the enemies. His hatred will eventually burn him alive...he will live and see Shias succeeding all over Arabia and he will be in hell fire for he is the big liar and spread falsehood amongst people and creating 'fitna' on earth. God knows best.

I actually heard the child-cooking story was when the al-Qaeda "Islamic State in Iraq" cooked some christian kid because his parents didn't pay jiya. These stories go round, the victim seems to change according to the audience.

There is some real out right fraud going round the Arab news outlets. In the sectarian violence, they had Sunni terrosists burning alive Shia Iraqis, then telling some Arab news outlets the bodies were of Sunnis burned by Shia. Obviously, journalistic integrity is not high on their agenda, but what is worse is when a supposedly "respectable" news outlet like Al Jazeera English commits blatantly misleading propaganda. I remember watching a piece where they were talling about Shia militias attacking Sunnis, while at the same time showing video footage of the aftermath of a massive al Qaeda suicide bomb attack in Sadr City. It's outright dishonesty, but I doubt any non-Iraqis would have known better.

Anyway, as concerns the gutter scum that is this Salafi, I think he is better ignored than given the 15 minutes he craves.

Shaykh al arifi is a hugely respected sholar throughout the whole wide world for salafis. I've seen his ''lessons'' translated in at least 6 different european languages. So you can see how this can affect ''unity'' in the whole Muslim world, not just in Saudia Arabia. Muslim people in the West take this man serious, I do hope they come to their senses now with this outrageous, stupid rant.

The response was unnecessary. You can't ask him to refrain in the future or apologize because he will gain nothing be being civil. He is performing for a certain audience who happens to love this stuff and he isn't going to stop in the name of "unity" or "brotherhood" because he thinks we are kaffir scum. Whatever. I don't care. I just hope no moron/lost soul happens to hear him and makes the unfortunate decision to blow himself up in the name of all that is holy.

All Iraq can do is be capable of securing itself.

Sure we can ignore these heathens like Al-urafi but there words are backed by real political movement and petro-dollars. When a mufsid such as this vile human utters a word or a phrase bombs go off in Iraq and Iran and tensions are increased across the Muslim world. Don't think for one second that this is a religious/secterian battle. In the minds of a few it is, but, Its is fundamentally political, led by numerous arab governments and implemented on the ground with the help of ignorant fanatics who obey every word uttered by chequebook sheikhs. Ultimately the hands of the US lies behind it.

The Saudi regime may say that they do not hold the same views as this vile character but is it reasonable that an oppressive, totalitarian regime that controls everything in a state cannot control what a prominent "scholar" publicly speaks?! Everything he said his in line with the Egyptian, Jordanian, Saudi regimes beliefs and policies.

We have to counter this straight away and find solidarity with the mainstream sunnis who also suffer from these intolerable khwarij

Of course he is employee working for the government ,and yes he is nervous because they thought war against houthis is a picnic and maybe they feel that Ali saleh has fooled them to involve in this war because they are known as very careful rulers and never intervene in wars . However it was good when he mentioned Sayed Ali sistani for he may get reprimand from the government and they may ease sectarian discourse .

Bombs go off in Iraq when Sunnis feel they are not being adequately represented in the Iraqi government, etc. Civil war will be rife in a place where different ethnic groups and religious sects feel like they are grappling for power/representation and the ability to protect themselves from an oppressive majority, especially during that sensitive period between a totalitarian government and an attempt at democracy. It is unstable after war because there is no dictator to scare people into submission or a stable democracy where the needs of the minority groups are being fully met. The US is not paying this guy for his hate.

It isn't the majority of Sunnis we need to be worried about, it is those few who are susceptible to this kind of propaganda. Iraq needs to secure itself. The Iraqi police are getting pretty capable.. a lot more than they were a while back. They have continually showed improvement and last month in particular was a nice display of their reliability.

This is certainly not the first time the Saudis have done this although they certainly do not represent Sunnis around the world. Any educated person would be able to tell Urafi's information about the Shia is false, it is those who are uneducated and follow these scholars blindly who are at loss. Sayed Ali Sistani certainly will not be harmed by such blasphemy. This type of random slander will only strengthen the bond between him and his supporters. The Saudi children are just pissed off that the Houthis asked Ayatollah Sistani to settle their dispute and not the great kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Iraqi police still has a long way to go. There is so much corruption and deception, it will be a long road.

Also, the US may not be paying Urafi for this defamation but the US certainly does support Saudi Arabia.

That is not that important bro! But, what is important is to have these guys speaking loudly sometimes to limit the position of Shia sell outs in Shia societies. 'A wake up call' needed sometimes to help unite people and prevent good folks from falling apart. :- ) Who cares about this movement and that movement? All these fake charity-missionary organizations?... Have they ever done any good for you? or even for themselves when there is need?

This was not shocking for me ,they are................

Insulting remarks by a Saudi cleric about the most revered Shia cleric in Iraq, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, have strained relations between Baghdad and Riyadh.

In a Friday sermon in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, a leading Wahhabi cleric, Mohammad al-Ureifi, called Ayatollah al-Sistani an “atheist and debauched.”

He also launched an attack on Iraqi Shias accusing them of conspiring with Yemen’s Houthis against Saudi Arabia with Iran’s support.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki strongly criticized the Saudi religious institutes after the cleric’s remarks.

He said Saudi religious institutes had a tendency to launch attacks on Shia clerics due to their hostile attitude towards Shia Muslims, AFP reported.

Iraq’s Parliament also condemned the remarks by calling on the Saudi government to take transparent position on the issue. In a statement, Iraqi lawmakers said the Saudi cleric had intended to create a rift among Muslims.

They called on the Saudi government to warn the clerics against making provocative statements.

The Iraqi Parliament also called on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), the Association of Asian Parliaments and Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to condemn the remarks.

Saudi Wahabi Insult Grand Ayatoolah Sistani

They have not ended with this only a newspaper named alwatan has published a cartoon on his eminence Ayatollah Sisatani !

All Muslims must condemn this act of insultin honourable religious leader and that newspaper must be brought to court , must appologise!

The day this thread started i remembered some wahabi culprits tried to insult Ayatollah Sistani and Ayatollah Aqeel ul ghurvi in a sub forum by using abusvie language and shiachat mods took the necessary action ,jazakAllah.

Al Hamdulillah that these fools expose themselves with such actions.

He exposed only himself in his own speech by mentioning how Pharaoh used the ignorance of his followers to obey him. His kind, only the ignorant follow. What a shameful excuse to murder the muslims in Yemen!

May Allah's curse be upon the hypocrites! They are the mongers of war and fitna. May Allah curse them and hasten the reappearance of Imam Mahdy (as) and fill the land with justice as it is filled with oppression.

They die in ignorance and face hell, we die in knowledge and face Paradise. May Allah strengthen the believers fighting everywhere.

Also, I just read on Al Forat TV that Kuwait isn't allowing Al Ureifi to enter Kuwait because of his actions... That was interesting.
