(salam)

I came across this vid* and it left me some what shocked. The video is by (I assume) a Sunni brother whom classifies Islam as Sunni Islam and that "Shiitism," is not Islam (shock I know) however what shocked me is the audio he chose to use as an example of Shi'i Islam. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Imam Ali (as) as much as anyone here but I honestly don't think I can agree with the Shi'i brother whom is speaking in the video and I don't think I can agree with how he is viewing and talking about Imam Ali (as). Am I wrong? What are your thoughts on the vid? Is the speaker misguided or just to zealous?

Typical Wahhabi propaganda. Half of it is rubbish. If they were standing in the line of angels, and would have been asked to bow down to Adam (a) by Allah, they'd have refused like Satan - stating that they'd bow down to only Allah and no one else.

As for the Shi'ite speakers, which statement did you particularly find 'shocking'?

"...is the sun and Ali is the moon."

"The sun is Ali."

"The moon is Ali."

"The orbits are Ali."

"The stars are Ali."

"The (Guarded) Tablet (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The throne (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The pen (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The air is Ali."

"The stones are Ali."

"The trees are Ali."

"The fruits are Ali."

"The water is Ali."

"The eye (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The hand (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The owner of conquests is Ali."

"The Qur'an is Ali."

"Al-Hamd (Surat al-Fateha) is Ali."

"Yunus is Ali."

"The prophets of Allah are Ali."

"Adam is Ali."

"and Noah is Ali."

"and Musa is Ali."

"and Isa is Ali."

"What else? and Muhammed is Ali."

"and Ali is Muhammed."

"and Fatima is Ali."

"and al-Hassan is Ali."

"and al-Hussein is Ali."

"and al-Sajjaad is Ali."

"In fact al-Mahdi is Ali."

He goes on to say Ali (as) is the First, Last and Evident and if you see below in the Qur'an such titles are for Allah (saw).

Pretty much everything they said, more or less.

I thought of that yes and thought perhaps the creator of the video selected audio where Shi'i brothers were speakin poetically and when compared to Sunni brothers whom weren't it would appear that we are differing from Islam and so on but even still some of it just didn't rub me the right way, it kinda seems like (in my opinion atleast) that the brothers may have crossed the line with their poetics (assuming the were legit speaking in such a manner).

I'm not sure about all, but some of them are mentioned in traditions. For example,

"The eye (Of Allah) is Ali."

"The hand (Of Allah) is Ali."

This is generally not just referring to Imam Ali (a), but also the rest of the Aimmah (a). Please read this.

"Muhammed is Ali."

"and Ali is Muhammed."

Refer to the incident of Mubahila where the self of the Prophet mentioned in the Qur'an is Imam Ali (a).

Basically, it just seems to be like a metaphorical ode to Imam Ali (a). Although, I'm interested in knowing the name of the speaker.

Salam,

Wether all or some, there is a inner meaning, as one of the posters stated, not literal.

Ali is the First and the Last

THIS is in a narration that the wahabies twist to cause fitna. The FULL hadith explains the First Believer, The Last to (Be with?, Touch?, see?) the Prophet (the one who put the Prophet in the grave). I dont remember the exact details of the narration, but I think you get the point. Dont listen to their half truth lies.

Peace.
