(wasalam)

The only reference I could get was Wasa'il ash-Shia 20/12. But when I tried looking for this hadith of the Prophet (s) in Wasa'il, I could not find it.

This tradition is also mentioned in the book 'Fatima, the Gracious'.

As far as I am aware, this is not an actual hadith, rather it is a saying of the Arabs. The only reference that I'm aware of for it being an actual hadith is from Shaykh Muhammad al-Ha'iriy's Shajrat Tuba, vol. 2, pg 233, but I've not seen this in any classical hadith books, and it's not there even in Bihar al-Anwar. This is the hadith:

ومن جملة شؤونها إنها كانت أول امرأة آمنت برسول الله وقد شيد الله دينه بمال خديجة كما قال (ص): ما قام ولا استقام ديني إلا بشيئين: مال خديجة وسيف علي بن أبي طالب

The Prophet said: My religion did not rise nor did it straighten, but by two things: the wealth of Khadijah and the sword of Ali bin Abi Talib.

That's what I thought too, initially. But I came across these links quoting it from the Prophet (s) with no reference though:

Except this one, which gave the reference to Wasa'il:

Salams

Thanks for all the replies; they've been really helpful

Was just wondering- next time I want to find out the references of a hadeeth where should I look (aside from the actual hadeeth books themselves), are there any particularly useful websites etc?
