English-language Ramadan Programs In Nyc Area?

Assalaamu alaikum,

Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times already...

I just moved to New York (Astoria) and am looking for Shia centers that hold programs in English. I tried the Al-Khoei Foundation, but their "English program" was pretty random... clearly not something they focus on. (I came here from Michigan and I guess Dearborn-- with several English-speaking, convert-friendly masajid-- spoiled me.) Any suggestions?

Ramadan Mubarak. I grew up in NY, but in DC area now. But I think there may be few masjids having english programs (yes i know its sad).. the Ahlul Bayt Mosque, which is made up of mostly converts and is mixed in Brooklyn NY (contact: "Abdul-Rahim" <phadl@yahoo.com>). I would try that, sis. There will probably be english programs on the bigger nights (like Laylatul Qadr) and so forth. I can also recc. few mailing lists for you. Anyway, email me at naqvia@gmail.com as I don't check shichat that often.

w aslaam,
