What if one commits suicide ? Will he be thrown straight into hell ? Even if he is very pious , read quran daily , pray , fast in shabban and rajab , pray tahajud , namaz imam - e- zamana , zairat warsa ? all daily .. Just curious to know

Brother/sister, IF he does that AND has faith in Allah, he would never commit suicide.

Suicide is one of the capital sins such as murder, suicide does fall into the category of murder [which is the worst sin] actually...

Imam Al Sadiq [AS] stated:

"At the time of his death the killer is told. ‘Die as you wish, die as a Jew or a Christian or as a Magian."

"A believer is free in the vast expanse of his belief till he colours his hands with the blood of a Mu’min.”

"One who kills a believer intentionally is deprived of the ‘Tawfīq’ of repenting (for his sins).”

[Al Kafi]

In the Holy Quran:

“....and do not kill ourselves; surely Allah is Merciful to you. And whoever does this aggressively and unjustly, We will soon cast him into Fire; and this is easy for Allah.” [49: 29/30]

A pious person wouldn't kill themselves... that' be giving up on Allah [swt] and denying His might and mercy.

I feel tired after praying so much and feels god deosnt listen to my prayers ...i feel like crying everytime and even after praying so much i dont feel any satisfaction ..

Allah hears everything do not think he hears not and weep weep to Allah in your prayers say what is in your heart to Allah ask him mercy guidance strength ask him his support, Satan's influence would like everyone to think Allah is not there that is one of things satan wishes to ruin is prayer, recitation, fasting and duty's to Allah trust in Allah if you trust in him be Ernest to him he will lead you from where ever you are to were you must go and never hasten what is meant for the end of your days god gave you life so you can work to be worthy of a gift or ern the reward of fire it is your choice to live towards paradise and not the fire and it is mercy Allah has allowed anyone the very chance to work towards paradise until he takes us!

There are many children commit suicide in Japan, I wonder if they'll go to hell to because they are not baligh

may Allah have mercy on them if they did not know better i hope they are forgiving inshallah but Allah is very stern on the matter

*sigh*

Forgetting the religious reasons for it, which can very easily be argued against - dont kill yourself.

You've got one shot at life, and you will die eventually. YOU WILL DIE ONE DAY. So just give what time you have on this plantet a go.

Plus, if you attempt suicide you cannot guarantee it will even work - you could end up worse off...permenantly disabled.

You will be dead one day....dont rush it.

Bro it seems to me that you wish your prayers are accepted. Do you think that by commiting a sin such as killing yourself, Allah will accept all the good that you've done? No, rather it will all go to waste.

Don't kill yourself dude. Like jen said, you may end up permanantly disabled or something. You dont want that.

i cried last night during my prayers and after finishing it and i asked God to repsond to me that whether you accept my prayers or not ..but nothing happened i just feel like my prayers dont count at all...

Listen, the worst thing you can do when you are feeling suicidal is turn to God - for exactly the reason you mention. You will not get an instantaneous answer from Him. The reason for this is either that God doesnt exist, or He is testing - which ever angle you chose to look at it from. The result is, as you are fully aware, you feel worse than ever before.

At a time like this - when you are feeling this suicidal - I'd reccomend you actually focus more on your life than your deen. Once you have your feet firmly on the ground, you've established what you want from this life and you have the ability to feel happiness (if even for a moment), you can start to focus on religion again.

I know people will hate me for saying what I am - but it is true, i talk from experience and I honestly dont think your 'suicidalness' will be cured by God, at least any time soon. It is only making things worse.

so you think killing yourself would make things better?

Look, God's respond to your prayers is not necessarily going to be direct. Take the suicide idea out of your head. How are you expecting God to respond to you if your thinking about suicide?Just take that idea out of your mind.

Whatever it is that is making you feel depressed, is not worth killing yourself for! Be thankful of what you have, continue being a good Muslim, don't let anything bother you easily, make yourself strong, and be patient.

Imam Ali [as] said along the lines "This is the only chance you get to trade with Ya Allah, so make the most of it"

Imam Baqir [as] said "Our followers are of three kinds, one who follows us but depends on others, one who is like a glass involved in his own reflections, but the best are those who are like gold, the more they suffer the more they shine."

Stick to religion, practising and patience [no matter how much pain], learn more about the calamities faced in Karbala, it worked for me...

Do legitimate activities, keep busy, and keep that satan geezer out your head.

Dude, [Edited]

I'm free to give my opinions on this public forum. And don't call me [edited] bana....its a personal insult which is unislamic, which kind of makes you look hypocritical whilst trying to give 'Islamic' advice at the same time.

And Jund - this topic is about suicide, not about what I am.

If the OP considers my 'advice' unislamic and they dont like it, then they dont have to follow it. Im free to give my opinion on the subject.

If its an Islamic site - why were you being unIslamic by calling me stupid?

Do you see me telling everyone else who has posted on this topic to shut up, even though perhaps in my mind i think their opinions are stupid? No. Looks like i'm more 'Islamic' than you Muslim Queen.

(salam)

There are better ways to disagree with each other than calling each other "stupid". Let's focus on the topic here. The brother sounds like he's having a hard time.

I recall reading a book that a man who had extremely severe depression wrote (it was so severe he could not get out of bed most of the day). He talked about the spiritual experience of it, that on the one hand he was angry at God for making him suffer, but on the other hand, after he had been reduced to that condition, it was him and God alone, and he walked with God through his recovery.

God can and will help you. If yo do not find ritual prayers helpful, just talk to God. (Of course you still need to say your salaat) God listens especially when we feel we can't take any more in life. God answers us in unexpected and mysterious ways especially if we seek something from Him and expect Him to respond.

However, as the saying goes, God helps those who help themselves. Many times people think of suicide because they cannot handle their life problems and do not see another way out of painful or difficult situations. Like Jen was saying, you do need to focus on your life too. You do need to turn to God, but also you need to try to make a plan for how you will cope or how you will change your life. Sometimes there is nothing we can do and you just have to be patient and have faith that things will not always be the same.

It would be helpful to talk to a counselor or psychologist or someone who has experience helping people with these feelings.

One thing is clear - if you kill yourself, you will have to deal immediately with God. It is an illusion that things just get better after we leave this world. As soon as we die, the spiritual reality becomes clear, and all of our worldly concerns go away. You will have to face the angels interrogating you and punishment in the grave or in the Hereafter for things you have done wrong. All of our hadith say that killing yourself is a big sin, and you will have to face severe punishment for that, and perhaps Hell. Islamic law also does not allow the body of a person who kills himself to have the funeral prayers read over it.

Maybe God would be merciful, but it is a big risk.

I hope things get better inshallah.

And also remember Allah knows all we say and will bring each one of us to account on it treat with kindness unless you would like your kindness from god removed Allah is all seer

Br. I used to think like you. Considered killing myself several occasions to get out of this worldly life and save myself from Sins. There are many reasons why not to commit suicide. But, there is one thing which stopped me...it is Haraam. If you are obedient to Allah, you do what Allah asks you to do. After I realized this, I thought maybe I should turn my attitude around and give 100% to Allah in everything.

Slowly (it took time) I felt the despair going away. My prayers really meant something and my Duas started to get answered.

Now, when I look back, I shudder even at the thought of suicide....I thank Allah for giving me guidance....All it took was the first step in the direction....

So do not depair, offer your prayers with 100% sincerity. Allah answers your prayers and duas.
