ABNA, has reported, quoting Iran Economist magazine, that the political circles of Federal Islamic Republic of Comoro have accused that the country’s president Ahmad Abdullah Sambi has converted into Shia Belief and he is preaching Shia religion in the Sunni state of Comoro.

Quoting a Shia website the Egyptian Newspaper “al-Ahram” has figured him a most important African Shia personality, who has cognized and realized the factuality of Shia Religion under the guidance of Shia scholar “Ayatollah Mudarresi” and was brought up in Al-Qayem (a.j) Seminary of Iran under the said Ayatollah’s supervision, and he is playing his role as a prompt Shia preacher of Comoro Republic inside the government.

“During Sambi’s stay in United Arab Emirates (UAE) he had used to go to Shia Mosque in Jomeira Avenue apposite of Iranian hospital in Dubai, for offering his daily prayers; a citizen of Comoro Republic told al-Ahram.

According to political analysis the accusations are based on some political motives and causes, so that they target him with any available political and non-political instruments and for proving these charges they hang on every mote. They intend to flaw his popularity; they criticize his dress and compare him with the Iranian Religious Scholars; they claim that he personally has a thirst to have friendly relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and has deployed his close component as Comoro’s ambassador to Iran and he is now supervising the Iranian activities in Comoro Republic himself; and they quote that and an Iranian hospital has started offering its services according to Sambi’s direct permission.

Anyhow thanks to justice and wisdom, one should explain himself while facing accusations.

“I have denied these charges and have explained several times that I follow Shafiee religion as the majority of my people do. But in the meantime I love the Holy Family of Prophet Mohammad (PUBH) as my Imam Mohammad Ibn-e Idrees Shafiee had been loving them fondly’; he told the newsmen.

Sambi’s opponents state that the presence and activity of Iran has been invisible in Comoro Republic before the presidential elections and that his tendency to friendly relations with the Islamic republic of Iran as well as his warm-heartedness for Iran, is based on his religious preferences and that he has converted to Shiite Religion.

“Iran has now 4 different areas of influence in Comoros and it’s most dangerous area of influence is the Comoro’s presidency where this influence is prompt and visible”; Arab Newspaper Al-Ahram

May Allah bless him.

The anti-Shia slant of that article is nothing short of disgusting, and shows that the Arab media is more interested in its own selfish desires rather than any kind of Islamic unity. It's absolutely pathetic when so called Muslims get upset just because another Muslim has embraced another school of thought. For God's sake, they act as if the guy converted to Christianity or something.

Best of luck to this man, and may God curse the enemies of a united Islam.
