Lol, aww. She could've easily been a mahram though, with the magic words of qabiltu. Oh well no worries doc, more to come innshallah ;)

awww i wish someone would say that to me  ... too bad i dont have that kind of impact on people's lives

Well... I used to have an impact like that on her life, and not anymore Alhamdulilah (haraam relationship), haven't seen the person in nearly a year and I'm consistently thinking of going to see her dad but keep on getting afraid that will get her in trouble... argh.

^^ :!!!: :!!!:

I think the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me is this: "You inspired me to completely change my life. I'm a better person for having known you".

The most annoying thing I've been told, "You have such a pretty face. If only you'd lose a little weight you would be gorgeous".

I'll miss you sis, my heart is heavy everytime I read your posts

:(

there are so many about various traits in me, but as i have grown up and now working as a doctor there is one thing i hear so often from patients and their families...

"wow....you look too young to be a doctor, when did you graduate"

" you are like a teeny weeny girl. i didnt think you are a doctor.

one patient said

' you are cute as a button"

one time in the middle of a conversation with family of a very critical patient, her daughter stopped me and said " excuse me can i ask you how old are you. you look soooo young".

one time in an elevator, a woman said to me " u r a doctor? man, you look good!"

i hear these comments so frequently....yesterday, today also. its become part of my daily life. But i enjoy it!!!!

a lot of people also say...oh you look too young to be a mom.

I must admit, i have a very young looking face

Rite, i did post on this thread earlier....But this is the wierdest comment i ever got a couple of days earlier.

It was the first day of my daughter's school n i had been to pick her up.As usual the first day in school there was lots of commotion as the transport buses were cancelled n new students n all.

Anyways i was as usual in my abaya...i went up to the reception( where i had left her in the morning), sat on the couch there waiting for my daughter. The principle there was telling all the girls around that some buses had been cancelled n they were suppose to call their parents n inform them to pick them up.

I had a mobile n my sun glasses in my hand n i was sitting comfortabley waiting for my daughter.

This principle, a lady ofcourse.....looks at me n tells me...." U have a mobile,u can call ur parents n tell the bus has been cancelled n tell them to pick u up"

For a moment i was like... :squeez: then i answered.." i am a mother n am waiting for my daughter". Her immediate reply was .."then that was a compliment to u". All the girls around giggled. Gosh!! i was like..........do i look like a skl going girl....damn i have a 11 yrs old daughter.

"your not as stupid as you look"

"you dont stink as much as i have heard"

"you do a great robot"

and this one is completely serious too

"for poor people you sure do have beautiful kids" when i heard that i was so shocked i couldnt even say anything. it was my kids great grandmother and since she is really really old i just ignored it but it was so shocking.
