Right you are.

The guy is cashing in on the religious sentiments of Muslims to pursue his devilish ends.

He is passing a judgment that we do not have any right to air our opinion about this man. The question is in effect a statement saying "You are nobody to air any opinion about this person". The tone says it all. And well, I am somebody to air my opinion on this person, because this person's shenanigan's can adversely effect my brothers, sons, sisters, daughters, etc.

From what little I have seen of this sites, he is not the only one manifesting such an attitude. There are scores such.

It goes without saying, people in public life, people who can influence the behaviour of others to a greater extent than family or friends, are in a different category than family or friends.

just to add another stance to this debate, his music is haram.

He uses haram musical instruments and associates the names of my pure holy infalliables with his work

I may be wrong, but the name, Saida, seems to suggest the member is a woman.

No problem. Happen to all of us all the time, and to me more than most others. Just happened to notice so ventured to point in out.

Thank you sis for correcting me :)

Good morning! (or evening or afternoon wherever we are int he world) ^_^

Since it has been publicly put out there that this muslim brother is a "womaniser", are there any links to the specific interviews/videos demonstrating his "womanizing ways" so that others who listen to his nasheeds can make an informed decision to either confirm or deny those accusations, and whether or not to continue listening to his nasheeds?

Anyway, I still think he's brilliant but if you could please post the vido ASAP since if this is true I might stop listening to his nasheeds. Thank you in advance :)

For those of you who said they don't like Sami Yusuf, think twice. If your not going to say anything nice, don't say anything.

Look at how things developed.

A member started a topic askin about Sami Yusuf. Another member provided the links, adding that he himself hated Sami Yusuf.

The Topic Starter clearly asked him why he hated Sami Yusuf. So don't get at his throat unnecessarily.

As for your dictum don't say anything if you're not going to say anything nice. It depends if one has to say anything nice or anything non-nice. Don't muzzle people.

Sami Yusuf is a pop star. Do you know what what stars are. Scum.

ok, the only thing is i saw it abt a year ago so i dnt remember which site it was or where to look for it..

Don't worry bro. thanks for tryimg though :) I believe you anyway. As for Rawshni, I was not muzzling him  I was just giving him advice, besides, also, Sami Yusuf is NOT a pop star- don't make up false accusations. Also, not all pop stars are scum  Oh yeah, also, you CAN NOT just accuse someone of being scum- find 70 excuses of why he is scum and THEN accuse him. Thank you.

Humbug

Lol, nah, I'm not a big fan of his. I'm a big fan of Abu Thar Al Halawaji, Basem Karbalaei, and Saleh Dirazi. The reason I said you should only accuse someone until you have found 70 excuses is because Imam Ja'ffer as Sadiq (as) has said you should only accuse someone until you have found 70 excuses :) .

Also Rawshni, I have already said once, if you're not going to say anything nice don't say anything. I don't think it was very nice to call me a "humbug" whatever it means. It wasn't a nice thing to say

Oh sorry  Sorry Rawshni!!!!! I didn' really no what it meant  I checked on google for what humbug could mean  and this is what it said:

1. something intended to delude or deceive.

2. the quality of falseness or deception.

3. a person who is not what he or she claims or pretends to be; impostor.

4. something devoid of sense or meaning; nonsense: a humbug of technical jargon.

5. British. a variety of hard mint candy.

–verb (used with object) 6. to impose upon by humbug or false pretense; delude; deceive.

–verb (used without object) 7. to practice humbug.

–interjection 8. nonsense!

Which definition did you mean??

I didn't mean YOU. I meant what you said was humbug. And I am NOT withdrawing it.
