I thought it'd be good for us to share things we find annoying about other people, so that maybe if we get a considerable list, we can maybe try to avoid doing those things ourselves.

i dont find much annoying with people, everyone is different and u should at times compromise and accept some of these annoyances, but some of them are plain annoying likeee...

Pakistani parents comming over for dinner and saying thier children are the best at everything

Random uncles and aunties arguing yelling at the top of thier lungs completely ignoring what the next person has to say

Random indian uncles comming over for dinner and disscussing nothing but politics, all of them presenting thier own wierd conspiracy theory on 9 11

random desi aunties comming over and doing nothing but complementing each others clothes even though they think theyrs is the bestest by far and the rest deserve to goto hell

uncles and aunties ive not seen in 10 yaers come over and asking for report cards on demand.

All uncles and aunties saying thier kids get 100% in each and every class they take

Moms watching a week of cricket and becoming sudden cricket experts thinking thier sons who have watched the sport all thier life are comeplete cricket nooobs

dad snoaring so hard that he wakes himself up

little cousins comming over and terrorising bedrooms

uncles aunties, relatives family members arguing over who should eat first allowing the dinner to last like 6 hours

eldest uncles and aunties wwho are the first to rush to the food at the weddings leaving left overss

random uncles telling u which career u should choose despite the fact theyve only known u for 2 min

desi uncles and aunties making fun of the BA degreee ( what is that ARTS? are u painting beta)

desi aunties who tend to idolize bollywood stars like theres no tomorow

Desi aunties who come over and do nothing but disscuss indain dramas as if i already have not had enough of it

Desi uncles who u thought was super duper religous puttiing random loud club music in thier vans and taking u for a spin and ur like :huh:

i cant think of more, im suppose to be in bed

I hate when people say that if they get rich that they won't change. :angry:

They say they will be soo good and give money to the poor and share and they will stay the same. :huh:

That money won't change them.

If money is not bad then how come Prophet Mohammed(S.A.W) :angel: was not rich.

Don't you think he would be the best person with the money.

I have had similiar experiences ..and yeah..can kinda get annoying

Hmm..Many things annoy me about some people..I'll mention a couple...but I'm sure even I have characteristics that annoy people :blush:

• In the kitchen- I'm well freakish about this; if ANYone puts their fingers into any of the serving dishes or pans of food to taste...AAAAAAA i can SCREAM!!! :mad: :blush: :angry:
  
• People eating paan and the likes of it :squeez: (you'll know what I'm talking about if ur desi :P )
  
• People who scream on the mobile phone as though the person at the recieving end has hearing problems :huh:
  
• backstabbing :dry:
  
• people who patronize- or put on the holier-than-thou attitude @)
  
• people chewing their food like cows :squeez: ..or even chewing gum for that matter!!..ugh!!
  

Oh yeah and the rest of you seem to have mentioned many other annoying habits- so I'm not going to go over them again :unsure: ...but these are the ones that I can just think off on the spot :Hijabi:

Money itself isn't good or bad, it is how people spend it which can be good or bad. There were prophets throughout history who were wealthy... they were examples to mankind, of how to be both rich and generous simultaneously, how to spend in the way of Allah and realise that whatever wealth we are given is not ours but ultimately His.

Annoying things about other people? hmm... as previously mentioned, chewing like a COW urgh. Parents being ever so carefree when their child is thumping and running around like crazy driving everybody else completely insane. People staring. People spitting outdoors. Littering, even something as tiny as a staple. Not switching lights, fans, heaters etc off when leaving an empty room :angry: and MOST of all, water wastage!!! :angry: :angry:

First part quite true. Its the use that you put money to that counts.

Bubblegum shewers are very annoying. We have a rule against that in the office. also paan and cigarettes.

Hypocrites/liars/backstabbers

Parents constantly comparing their children to you, and believe thir family is God’s gift to humanity, mashallah, Which of the bounties of our Lord can we deny???? :squeez:

Parents complaining about their child’s teacher, no matter which teacher, their child is just too good for them.. they will never accept any faults of the child, pointed by the teacher and instead focus their attention on getting the teacher fired..

Mother-in-laws constantly bickering about their daughter-in laws, how they don’t know how to cook, clean, how she’s got this attitude coz she’s highly educated…

Old or traditional women who believe their duty lies only at home, so its of no use to educate women, no point for them to take up a job and if there’s a divorce, its always the women’s fault..this they go about preaching to anyone who’s got the bad luck of sitting next to them :angry:

Anyone who believe a womans place is at home…and they have no right to work or be educated…go abroad for further studies..believe some profesions are for male only.. :mad:

Unhygienic people, not bothered about cleanliness

People who have the nerve to answer their calls during the majalis, their tones are soo loud and has to be some song that makes u cringe..plus they talk so loud

Families fighting in public..

people, usually guys who come over to watch a football/cricket match, and yell so loud at the players as if they can be heard…they would give coaching tips to the players…if theyr that gud..y aren’t they training them?

Women in the mosque, who would keep staring at you for no reason, then smiles at you and then ask ur mother ‘so ur daughter isn’t married YET?’

Or those who recite their prayers so loud, ur concentration breaks..

People who never pass the chance to give you some Islamic lecture.. :huh:

People who wouldn’t get in a car or enter the house or eat something without arguing who should go first

- people who don't chew their food with their mouth closed and you can hear that horrible licking chewing sound double arghhh

- heavy breathing right near me, just go breathe somewhere else!!!!!!

To a life where everything is done for you, I'm pretty sure money will change me.

Im gonna annoy u more by saying that I defintely wont change, i never wanted money, but now that desire has grown only because I want to give it away

and this isnt cuz im nice or anything, this is because my real interests in life dont include fancy cars and big houses, if i was chasing the american dream like so many other people, id probably change when i got money but im not.

Nabi Mohamad SAWW WAS rich. He had A LOT of money. From sayeda Khadija a.s. Only he chose to live like the poor, setting examples for us, his followers. You are basing your judgment based on the ideology that there are no believers in the world.

-Relatives coming over and discussing the situation in Iraq (I know they can't help it but they're not really DOING anything)

-Kids asking endless questions :squeez:

-People screaming on the phone when it's an outside call

-People telling me they think they're ugly (indirectly asking me to tell them they aren't)

-People licking their fingers in public after eating chips (crisps)

-People giving me their phone numbers at an incredibly slowww pace :dry: (Theyre like zerrrroooo fooouuurrr .......)

-Girls complaining about how they haven't slept the night before, or about their headaches.

When parents compare their "inferior" kids to the superior kids of their friends. To all parents-- this does not help, it only increases jealousy of the "superior" kids. My mom was crazy about this one friend of hers so she would point to her and say, look, she sits with her mom during majlises. And then she liked these other kids too and would say, look, they're sitting without their parents, look how independent they are.

When your parents are scolding you and your grandmother comes to watch the entertainment.

When both parents have to scold you about the same things at different times. It's like, apologizing and showing remorse once isn't enough. The matter isn't closed unless BOTH parents have scolded you.

When your parents talk to each other about you. That's why my mom is NOT my best friend. I know that if I confide in her, my dad will end up knowing.

Yeah ... for some reason I find it really annoying when people breathe loudly, I just hope I don't become one of those old people who do that. It's not their fault - wallah!

A short list of my own:

- People who in an attempt to become more religious end up only using their new knowledge of Islam to critisize others instead of actually applying it to themselves. (that's just poor akhlaq)

- People who think they're being really clever by telling you things "indirectly" - e.g. they'll say: "ohhh ... none of my friends are trustworthy", or "I hate people who are -insert thing you do here- NOT CLEVER!!

- People who pry

- People who try to pry into other people's lives through you, seriously - if you're that interested in someone's life then ask them yourself!

- People who repeat things over and over and over again

- People who bail on you last minute EVERY FREAKIN TIME you plan to do something together

- People who read too much into what you say

- Hypocrites: they'll critisize you for something they do themselves.

- People who think they're too good to talk to you just because they're older/married/not as "religious"

- Friends who never contact you and then go "oh, you don't remember me anymore do you, bla bla, you don't contact me, you don't call, etc. etc." when they see you

- Acquaintances you don't know well who will ignore you for two entire hours and then suddenly turn towards you and say: Why don't you talk?? (FYI: quiet people LIKE being quiet, they are quiet because they are more comfortable being quiet, and "why don't you talk?" is NOT a good ice-breaker)

- Iranians

- Stupid people

- People who pretend to be stupid to avoid taking blame for something

- People who think you don't understand they're taking advantage of you being nice and so continue doing it

- People who know you and then ignore you at the mall - like come on, will it kill you to just nod???

Auto mechanics who do not use protective plastic sheets while working on the car and screwing up its polish

Doctor's receptionists who chew bubble gum and keep on popping bubbles
