Some posters have asked me to post up some pictures of the mehdi army! :)

I have plenty, but i have chosen some of the most beautiful, meaninful and heart warming stuff.

But not just of the mehdi army, but of all the iraqi resistance. I would further like to remind you, since you are shia, that there are other shia resistance movements such as al haq, band of righteous people.

First up though, mehdi pics:

On the streets of najaf... mehdi army loved by their people

the resistance is my life.

What's your life, drugs and dancing?

SS,...Jaysh al mehdi ain't the resistance. Jaysh al mahdi has a policy of avoiding confrontation with the US inorder to concentrate their efforts on Sunnis. This is undeniable.

come on, the americans say the same thing about the northern resistance.

Stop beliving these secterian lies.

The only people killing iraqi civilians right now, are the americans, the puppet police and army, and the badr brigades/interiorministry.

-----------------

nice pics, but they must institutionalize themselves more...

Institutionalize themselves? you mean put themselves in prison?

is this what you mean or do you not understand the meaning of the word your using?

If they are the resistance then how do explain the fact that sunnis are responsible for the overwhelming number of US casualties while at the same time jaysh al mahdi is better organized, better armed and are more numerous? Its because jaysh al mahdi has a policy of avoiding confrontation with the US,..ergo they aren't the resistance.

Sectarian killing is another discussion.

^it's unfortunate that they have had this terrible cease fire, that has led to their fragementation and corruption.

But they still kill badr brigade traitors and british from time to time.

i know they have changed but, i'm still going to hold out a little hope for them and sadr, so they can be a great resistance once again.

Anyway i hope that Al Haq will grow and grow and carry the southern front.

^ institutionalize means reorganize themselves like REAL HUGE ENIGMATIC ARMIES

Try learning English before attempting to teach it to native speakers.

To "institutionalize" a person or group of people means to put them in an institution- i.e. to imprison them or commit them to a mental institution. To institutionalize an idea or concept means to make it part if the current system or give it credence; as in "these policies would only serve to institutionalize racism." It generally means the latter when used regarding any concrete thing- like the Mehdi Army. Hence Syrian Sister's amusement.

American Heritage Dictionary:

in·sti·tu·tion·al·ize (nst-tsh-n-lz, -ty-) Pronunciation Key

tr.v. in·sti·tu·tion·al·ized, in·sti·tu·tion·al·iz·ing, in·sti·tu·tion·al·iz·es

1)To make into, treat as, or give the character of an institution to.

2)To make part of a structured and usually well-established system: a society that has institutionalized injustice.

3)To place (a person) in the care of an institution

You might also want to try looking up "enigmatic:"

American Heritage Dictionary:

en·ig·mat·ic (ng-mtk) Pronunciation Key or en·ig·mat·i·cal (--kl)

adj.: Of or resembling an enigma; puzzling: a professor's enigmatic grading system. See Synonyms at ambiguous.

If you are asking about Jaysh Imam al-Mahdi(AJ) so no, they do not support sectarian killing or strife. They organized an unified prayer after the attack on the al-Askariyya Shrines in Samarra.

Reread my post smartmouth. It is used in this way to refer to ideas, concepts, other intangible things. Not to refer to people.

A whole nation can be wronged and I advice all Supporters of "restistance" groups to step down and seek help from the true troops of Imam Mahdi(atf) dispersed all over this world yet you have gone so blind that you cant notice them anymore.

For it is you that have chosen opression to be part of your life and your land.

Will you fight us when we enter the holy lands of Iraq or do we have your support?

Syrian sister i really appreciate how you support the "resistance" you think it is. But you wouldn't understand how ridiculus jaysh al mahdi is until you live in iraq. Muqtada has no control over it whatsoever and what they actually do highly contradicts what they claim they are doing. Never have they killed or targeted a Sunni leader that is responsible for the kidnapping or killing that is done in iraq. All they have killed are innocent sunni people, women, children and even shias, yes shias, i have a family friend who was killed by them. They blindly shoot bullets in a sunni area where inocent people are and where most of the time shias are also present.

Even though Sayed Muqtada has become one of the very few right now who seems to be on the right path, please lets not forget that he is responsible for the death of 100s of shias in najaf two years ago when he refused to listen to Sayyed Al Sistani's requests and rulings.

And please...women fighters??? does it look like aisha's story is being repeated?

Oh yea who told you that? You living there?

"This is undeniable."?? Why's that? It's a fact that the US is creating strife between Sunnis and Shias there. It is so obvious, to get them to fight each other. All these bombings of mosques and then mass killings of Sunnis or Shias are done by the US, creating even more disputes between the groups. It's so obvious when watching or hearing about it it's not even funny.

god you need a life

Wow you're mature.

has it not crossed your mind that Shia's has been opressed in iraq by these "Sunnis" for decades? , this reason alone could ignite a civil war. People in iraq are getting more Moqtadaish then Sistanish lately. in other words force-horney.
