Your welcome. I agree, Dua Al-Nudba is one of the most overlooked duas. It is very powerful and we have so many ahadith recommending it to be read (especially of Friday mornings). I think that the NIGHT of the 15th is going to be on Saturday, anyone differ?

IF 15 Shaaban is on Saturday then the Night of the 15th would on Friday night, hence you would do your A'mal after the 'Isha prayers on Friday night. If the 15th of Shaaban is on Sunday then you would do the A'mal on Saturday night.

A bit confusing, but lets hope a few people can clarify EXACTLY when the NIGHT of the 15th will be?

Visit moonsighting.com

there is a diff of opinions b/w people on this. Al-Khoei center NY says Sunday is 15th and Toronto Shia Centers say Sunday is 15th - the date was changed on last Sunday.

If 15th is on Saturday, A'mail should be on the night between friday and Saturday.

there are already two thread going on this. I found one of them

I hope we can all benefit from this auspicious night. Let’s pray for Allah that the Hujjah (as) will be with us this time next year!! Inshallah!! :)

There is a special deed which one can perform to fulfill one's worldly needs. Write out your needs on a piece of paper and throw the piece of paper in a river or a pond. Hopefully your needs will be granted.

It is narrated from Imam Hussien (as) from Imam ALi (as) saying: Whoever fasts the month of Sh3ban it is love from the Prophet (saw), closeness to Allah (swt), love for Allah (Swt), closeness to His (swt) generosity on the day of judgement, and Heaven was become wajib (obgalitory).

The prophet (swt) said: "This month (sh3ban) is my month, whoever fasts one day of my month, I made wajab the jiena (Heaven)."

It is narrated from Imam Mohamad Al-Baqar (as) Imam Jaffer AL-Sadq. They said: "If the middle of sh3ban comes, then pray four rak3ats, each rouk3a you read the al-hamad (al-fatiha) and a hundred times surat al-iklass and when you are done say this duaa:

Dont Forget to fast.

As we approach the night of 15 Shaaban, we should familiarise ourselves with the recommended deeds on this auspicious occasion. A pdf document containing all this information is available here

Sheikh Saleem translated that (he translates lots of stuff). Alhamdulillah! He drives me to the masjid in Kitchener, ON, Canada. :) Hasnein and I know him. :D

I want to do this Salat but I can't read Arabic yet (for the Duas), and I wish I had someone to help me in person to show me exactly how to do it. Reading off a paper in prayer is kinda hard.

Can someone give the transliteration (Arabic in English Letters to Surahs:

Surah Al-Fatihah

Surah Al-Ikhlas

Surah Al-Falaq

Surah Al-Kafirun

Surah Al-Nas

Surah Al-Qadr

Ayat Al-Kursi

Tasbihat Al-Arbah

I know Surah Al-Fatihah, Ikhlas, and Falaq but transliterate anyway please. :)

Tasbihat al-Arbah:

Subhan Allah hee, wal Hamdu lil-la hee, wa la ila-ha il-lal-la-ho, wal-la-hu akbar

It's important to hear what it sounds like also. There are some Arabic letters which are transliterated the same (like "seen" and "saud") but they are pronounced differently. Click below to listen:

http://www.playandlearn.org/audio/subahana.ra

The entire prayers transliterated and with accompanying audio can be found here:

http://www.playandlearn.org/Fiqh/213.htm

Hope this helps, bro :)

The http://www.duas.org/extra/15shabanamal.pdf text says:

"Four rakat of salat in each rakat, surah al-iklas is recited either 50, 100 or 250 times. After this, the following supplication should be recited once:"

As the supplication is in arabic only, I would really appreciate if someone could please give me the transliteration aswell as the translation in to english.

Bro/Sis destroy_babylon, here's a tranliteration of that dua. I'd like someone to double-check it just to make sure, because that Arabic script was kinda difficult to read so I'm sure there's bound to be some mistakes in it.
