Career in Politics...

I know i posted this before but i hope more people will see it this time. I agree 100% with Sister Zareen...we Muslims ignore politics at our own peril...it is how the world is run. This, however, only adds to my inquiries....has anybody on this site pursued a career in politics...or planned to but changed their minds...or know anybody involved in politics (even as a current affairs journalist or something)?????????
