recently at work a non muslim lady asked me if there was one thing that i missed that i could no longer have .. whether it was a food or music or not wearing hijab.. etc.. and in that moment i realized there was not one thing i missed... i love my religion and i do not compromise on any aspects inshallah... i do not like the americanization islam seems to be going thru in the west anyway .. i thought i would ask the converts here ..is there anything u miss? if there were one thing u could change would u and what would it be??and why??

I know this is going to sound funny and of course now it's ok cause I found someone but..........going out and getting a really good haircut :D . But since thats not the case anymore I guess it doesn't apply. But other than that I have to agree with you I don't really miss anything. In fact I feel as though I've gained alot more than I had.Hope that makes sense. ^_^

Salaam alaikum,

I've been asked this question b4, as I already told UmAli, I can never think of anything that I miss. I know it's a let down for the people asking the question, but what do they expect? If you are going to miss anything, you wouldn't convert, would you?

lol i thought i was the only one who had the prob... yeah for 5 yrs i cut my own at home...

There is a Muslim woman who moved next door to me. I just found out she is a hairdresser. She works outside in a shop, but she has a private room set up in her basement for cutting Muslim women's hair. Now that's convenient. :D

Selam alaycom,

I miss my mama

Peace,

Um Ali

Salaam sis,

i feel for u. I miss my father too. It is really strange sometimes muslims say to me you can still talk to him, but they dont understand that a great barrier appears when you have a parent who so vehemently despises Islam.

Its tough....but Inshallah Allah(swt) will help

Salam bro...

What I think sis jla meant was since she lives so far away from her mother, she misses her. I'm pretty sure her mother has accepted her conversion and has no problem with it. But I'll let sis jla tell u herself.

As for you, I am sorry to hear that, Inshallah your parents will learn to accept it. All in good time bro. Just stay strong. And besides, all of us here are your family ^_^ :)

Selam alaycom,

You're right sis AP: I miss mama cause she is so far away. I call her every weekend, and we email but it's not the same. She accepted my conversion and my marriage. But living far away, my children miss out on having her: she was a good mother and is an excellent grandmother. Inshalla she will come this fall.

Br. wahashimi, we will keep your father in our prayers.

Peace,

Um Ali

I've never heard of this. Is it haraam for women to get their haircut at the barbershop? If its another woman cutting your hair, then what difference does it make?

barbershop? isn't barbershop for men and salon for women  ? lol anyways...

it's not haram, it's just that obviously there are windows, there are people passing by, any random non mahram person can walk in etc.

Salaam alaikum,

The problem is finding a shop, where you can have your hair cut, without a non mahram seeing you. Most shops nowadays are mixed. It's not always easy to find one where there are only women. Besides that, a lot of Muslim women don't show their hair to non Muslim women. It's makrooh to do that.

nuff respects to all y'all who still remember things back in the days...

but in reality, it's not necessarily a good thing to miss that stuff too much.

I myself went through some stages in my life as you all must have, and I can honestly say that I miss a lot.

Now, whether, I'm going to disclose that information is another story.

That is between myself and Allah... insha'Allah.

But once, again, respects to all of you who have gone through so much.

May Allah shower his blessings on you and your families.

Miracles Of Almighty Allah

Our anchor is the Quran, our Holy Book and the abundant knowledge and wisdom on life, science, nature, etc within it. If you wish to see a REAL miracle Read the Quran.

You are about to witness a miracle of Allah. Please look carefully. RUKU PICTURE--- (Act of Bowing to Allah)

This is a recent Miracle discovered in the forest near Sydney (Australia). This tree is bowed in a posture of Muslim's prayer. Moreover, the tree is bowed directly to the direction of Kaa'ba at Mecca (the Holy Mosque in Saudi Arabia). Closer sight shows Turban on head and even the shape of the hands touching the knees. Also Scientists noticed that there is not a sign of any artificial shaping of the tree. Allah-U-AKBAR!

This picture below was taken this morning near the

Safaniya beach in the eastern province. Aramco

security & industrial security force are debating

as to whether to issue a warring close the beach or

do nothing and assist in man power control

investigation resulted that there are more than

3500 for this kind of human-animal in the tanajib

area. It is 25 years since last time it was seen in

the tanajib area.

KALMA PICTURE-----

The branches clearly say in Arabic that - there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad (P.B.U.H.)is the Messenger of Allah. This is said to be a scene on a piece of cultivated farmland in Germany. Many Germans have been said to have embraced Islam upon seeing this miraculous sight. The German government has put steel fences around that part of the farm to prevent people from visiting and witnessing this miraculous site.

SUBJECT : From Quran Surat Ar-Rahman Ayah 37 and the Hubble Telescope via NASA See the attached picture file, the RED ROSE NEBULA, see what Quran said at Surah 55 (Ar-Rahman), Ayah 37!We see it now in the years 1999/2000! and Quran mentioned it almost 1400 years ago. The picture is taken by the NASA Hubble Space Telescope of the "Cat's Eye Nebula." It is an exploding star 3,000 lightyears away. They should have called it the "Oily Red Rose Nebula." As the Quran states in Ar-Rahman, "When the sky is torn apart, so it was (like) a red rose, like ointment." Quran[surah55:Ayah37]

THE FISH TESTIFIES FOR THE PROPHETS

The story of fish began when Mr. George Wehbi, a Christian lebanese was practising his fish hobby, in Dakar,(the Capital of West Africa). He caught many fish. When he went home his wife saw among them a strange fish about 50 cms in length, with some Arabic writing on it. he took it to Sheikh al-zein, who read clearly what was written in a natural way, that could not be done by a human being, but rather a Godly creation which the fish was born with. He read "God's servant" on its belly and "Muhammad" near its head, and "His Messenger" on its tail.

Mosque Still Stands Still after an Earthquake.

A Mosque still stands after an earthquake in Turkey. Even though all the buildings beside it have been destroyed. This earthquake took place in the western Turkish town of Golcuk, 60 miles from Istanbul, in August 19, 1999.

Kalma written in Lungs

This picture shows us

that LA ILAHA ILLALLAH

MUHAMMAD RASOOL

Allah is written in our lungs.

In 19 June 1999 Mr L. Storey from London, England attended a Transmission Meditation workshop led by Benjamin Crème in London. The following day he discovered a stone with Arabic writing on it, on a pile of clothes in his bedroom. It took him a while find someone to read it for him, when he did he was amazed to hear it read: "I bear witness there is only one God, and I bear witness Mohammed was his Prophet."

It is a honey comb found by a

bee keeper.

The name of Allah is formed by the clouds as seen below.

Allah has always shown us Miracles but we always ignore them, but now it's time we get awake or else we will loose every thing. I hope it will strengthen our faith.

Those are all nice but I heard some of them are fake. I shia friend tells me the pic with the trees spelling out ... is a painting. I can give you links of Christian websites with same pics of Jesus/Mary of miracles.

The Quran says signs will be given, so every individual should see a sign in his/her experience. Not some cloud that looks like it spells Allah's name. It should be in his/her persoanl life.

Faith is believing in the unseen. We can't see Allah, yet we believe in him. Seeing is not believing. KNOWING is believing.

I can't believe until I see. I am not saying "I want to see Allah". I just want a little sign of the unseen (miracle, angel, jinn, etc) And I also know it aint happening otherwise all of you would have some sort of experiences where you have seen something unimaginable.

Salaam alaikum,

I saw a jinn or something once. I don't know if it was a jinn or what, but it was something. Does that count? :D

Miracles happen around us all the time. I think we just don't notice them.

i agree with u sometimes these things on the net are fakes but the point was the saying i highlighted ....

Allah has always shown us Miracles but we always ignore them, but now it's time we get awake or else we will loose every thing. I hope it will strengthen our faith.

Dude,

how dare you. i am telling you where in teh world to find miracles (the water one is Hazrat Abbas' roza in Karbala), to go see them firsthand and SEE for yourself, and your accusing me of lying based upon teh fact that the jewish american media hasnt publicized it?

grow up. im thru convincing you, there are miracles, you refused to see them, you obviously wouldnt accept a sign from Allah if it hit you in the head.

your on your own now.

Salam un Alaykum,

lets PRETEND your correct, at a MAXIMUM they miss 30 years of adultry, and 30 years of BAD INFLUENCE music talking about raping their own mother  , and let say, 50 years of Getting drunk and throwing up. And they miss 30 years of slaps from VARIOUS girlfriends. Thats all they miss, but they have lived the BEST and MOST HEALTHY 80 years here.

BUT IF WE ARE RIGHT, then you guys get 30 years of adultry, and 30 years of BAD INFLUENCE music talking about raping their own mother  , and let say, 50 years of Getting drunk and throwing up, and after you die, FOREVER punishment.

pretend 50% chances, is it worth it?

If no, there is 5% {about, maybe even less} of your car crashing, then why do you get car insurance? Or there is AT MAX 10% chance of you getting sick, then why do you get health insurance? Pretend you get sick, at worst u pay $10,000, BUT if you Don't belive in the last day and disobey and die, then at BEST you get maybe 500 years of fire burning..

Is it worth it? But for everything else, there is master card ;)

The reverts will regret not having fun in this life when they realize there is nothing after death.

If there is nothing, then we won't realize anything, will we? But on the other hand, if there is life after death, then we will be glad we didn't waste our time having fun and instead stored up provisions for the next life.

Quran [6.32] And this world's life is naught but a play and an idle sport and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand?
